I was recommended this place by an acquaintance as "the most authentic Mexican food in Salem," so naturally I came in with high expectations. I ordered the Enchiladas combo with a shredded beef burrito, for a total of $16.When I got my food, it was warm. Not hot, like they had just made it, but warm like they had just reheated it. I opened up the taco and to my chagrin, the tortilla had snapped and the texture of the shredded beef was like leather. Almost couldn't bite through it.Anyways, I can't necessarily recommend this place based on my experience, but your mileage may vary.

We have been going here for years almost every weekend. But, for entire past winter, it has been freezing cold inside. We thought it may have been something getting worked on, but it's been the same way for at least 4 months. We ate here today and we could literally see our breath. I paid $30 for food and a tip but we had to leave because it was freezing inside. We will not be eating here anymore and will find a new place to eat where we don't leave with hypothermia.

We door dashed the super nachos (which we've loved in the past) and there wasn't much on them so my partner drove them back and asked for the the missing toppings. The girl at the counter approached the chef about the additions and his reaction was so agressive my partner felt legitimately threatened. If you want nachos for $16+ with more than meat, cheese and guac only, pay the extra $1.00 each more for jalapenos, pico, sour cream, and everything listed in the description.

We were in the mood for tacos tonight. So we visited Tony's Taco Shop near downtown Salem. It is not the most authentic Mexican food in the area, but what a solid selection of delicious entrees.I ordered the soft grilled chicken tacos with rice and beans. The tacos were tasty, with a nice amount of chicken, onions, cilantro, and sauce. The beans were good, but the rice was okay and largely forgettable. I tried the red hot sauce on one (very hot) and the green sauce on the other (mild). My wife had three hard tacos with shredded beef and said they were great!I recommend Tony's Taco Shop when you want to order a solid, well-prepared, and dependable meal.

The food here is flavorful but sometimes overcooked or low-quality. The drive-through can be slow at busy times, I think because it is a small shop that can't serve a large amount of people very quickly. The staff is always friendly and helpful. This is usually a safe bet if I'm craving something greasy and spicy.Parking: Parking lot is small with only a few spot.

Overly priced for the quality and portions of food that you receive. This was once one of my favorite places to get good food, but not anymore. Again prices do not reflect quality and portions.

The food is great, but service is lacking unfortunately. I ordered 20 minutes ahead, around 11 am, so well before the lunch rush. When I arrived, I had to wait nearly 35 more minutes for my order. When it was handed to me, it was someone else's order and I had to get their attention and hand it back. Then it took more time bc apparently they still hadn't made my order. No apology just finally handed me my order, with a slight smile. Really disappointing because I love their food.

Got charged $14 for the most pitiful unloaded, non-meat nachos I’ve ever seen. There was a misunderstanding with the drink & I thought it was included with the nachos. When I was told it was extra, I asked if it was too late to be removed from the ticket. The employee rolled her eyes and then didn’t talk to me for the duration of the transaction. It’s annoying enough to be charged full price for items when the most expensive part (the meat) is excluded, but it’s extra annoying when the disappointing meal is lukewarm & the staff is rude about a simple misunderstanding.

Seemed really carnitas burrito had lots of beans and seemed really salty, the taquitos didn't come with guacamole which was strange to me, but maybe Salem Mexican restaurants don't do avacados???? Beans and rice were plain.

The super fries are so delicious. The fries themselves were just so crispy. Can't wait to come back here!

Terrible. If you want food poisoning, eat here. Last time (ever) I went there I ordered a shrimp burrito to go. When I got home and unwrapped it what I had was a tortilla full of ice cold slop and zero shrimp. And I don't just mean it cooled off a little on the drive home, I mean stone cold, like refrigerator cold. Sauce and lettuce slopped together, unheated. No shrimp. Garbage. $14 and I had to throw it away.

I was wanting simple street tacos and so I decided to try this place. Ordering (drive thru) was a weird experience, and it felt like pulling teeth to get information. Menu says $9 for four tacos, same meat. I asked about ordering four separate so I could try a few types, and the server just kept saying it would be a different price. Not what the prices were, higher or lower. Nothing. I gave up and ordered asada. Despite there only being two cars in the lot and two cars ahead of me in line, it took 15 minutes to pull up and get my food.Despite all that, the tacos were just.. okay. Not bad, but not great. They did not come with limes (looked on their menu and apparently you have to pay extra from lime? For street tacos? Really?)I'm giving three stars because the tacos weren't bad and the portions were big, just not worth the hassle. Their other food looked pretty good and I chose the place because it always smells delicious when I drive by, so maybe I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and try again sometime, but in a city full of dank taco carts, Tony's doesn't stand out.

Tony's is my go to for drive thru/take out burritos and what not. I'm a fan of the carnitas burrito and my son is a huge fan of the carne asada fries. We've gotten several things on the menu such as tacos, enchiladas, chimichangas, etc. and always delicious. The drive through typically isn't super busy and they move folks through at a decent rate. The folks at the window are always super friendly.

At 68 I know good carne asada when I taste it. That means it's probably been marinated for anywhere from 1 to 3 days. This is the biggest statement of all this is the best carne asada you are going to find north of Los angeles..

It's cheap and the customer service was good, but this is pretty marginal quality and flavor, even for relatively cheap fast food.
