“Stopped by on way to Virginia. Ordered Tuna nachos, CSB Burger, and Kids cheese pizza . The appetizer was excellent and tuna fresh. My burger was more than a handful. The grandson pizza was just right. Prices reasonable and worth a stop. Detour off Rt 15 and you will not be sorry for lunch. Don’t forget the history behind this tavern since 1763 continually run.Kid-friendliness: No issues with a 3 yr old”

“Stopped by again for a weekday lunch - this time we had a Short Rib Grilled Cheese & an Old English Melt .......aaannnd of course the signature basket of chips with Balsamic Vinaigrette drizzle & sprinkled Parm. Could go there for nothing but the chips! But I must say both sandwiches were AWEsome! We made reservations since it was the Monday of Valentine's week but, although busy, the place wasn't slammed. Our server was attentive & everything came out in a timely fashion - love the ambience! Lot of dark wood & copper which lends to the historical feel or the venue (Inn goes back to 1763) - always enjoy stopping in! (still) Highly recommended!”

“This was our first time here, and we were thoroughly impressed.We were greeted at the door by a smell of cleaning product which makes you feel good about how well a place is kept up. The interior was trendy and well lit. The place was very clean and organized.The server was tremendous. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful when it came to choosing our entrees.The food was the show stopper. Everything was fresh, full of flavor, and well crafted on the plate. There is a great variety of dishes to chose from and even something for vegetarians.Overall great experience!!”

“Just went for the first time this evening after reading many reviews on Google, and I have to say there is a reason they have such high ratings! My family of four all had nothing but GREAT things to say about our dinner! My husband got a steak fajita burrito (that was literally the size of his head), and the flavor was so good (I'm definitely stealing those leftovers), I got the chile relleno, it came with two very good-sized peppers that filled the whole plate and the flavor was great and the pepper was cooked well, also. My daughters (picky eaters) both got chicken quesadillas. One got the kids' size, and the other got the adult potions, and honestly, the kids one would've fed them both. Everyone went home with leftovers (im happy i dont need to make lunch tomorrow!), and we're all sad we're so full because we wanted to keep eating. We're already making dinner plans with friends for next weekend to return! Our waitress was so attentive and answered any questions we had and never let any drinks get close to being empty before offering a refill. Another really awesome thing is our bill was less than $60! For a family of four all getting their own meals, drinks, and an appetizer, that really is an amazing deal for the really great fresh tasting food we all received!If you're even slightly thinking about going here, just do it. If you slightly think you might want mexican food, just do it. My only regret is that we didn't try here sooner!”

“(Mcsherrystown location) First time and won't be the last. Ordered an iced caramel coffee with their breakfast sandwich. The coffee was the best I have had locally. My partner ordered a hot late and also said it was delicious. The sandwich included scrambled egg, bacon, cheese, and Chick-fil-A sauce. Umm, can you say genius? So tasty! Service was pretty quick even with a constant flow of customers. Ambiance had a play area for kids and people catching up over coffee. Hopefully more quiet during the week if you want to work remotely. Everyone seemed to be having a great time!”

“First time here. Tried all 4 current flavors of the whole bean coffee. Rich flavor and good coffee. Would love to see more flavor options. Shop itself is easy to get to, adequate parking, and comfortable inside with limited seating. Employees were very helpful and pleasant. Per shop employee, Whole bean only available at this location. Ground versions available at other location.”

“Outstanding bakery. After reading reviews , we visited the other day. Bought some scones, brownies, cookies and something else that was all fabulous. Server answered all questions and was very nice. The store was very clean and well lit. Local milk among other things. Will watch facebook for specials and visit again in the near future. Great small business.”

“During Lent Season, we frequent Big Mike's Crabhouse on a Friday, typically late afternoon. We try to beat the crowd, as this restaurant is not that big, but the seafood is absolutely delicious! Service is always excellent!!!! Big Mike's is a very relaxed atmosphere! They are a BYOB, so you can bring your favorite adult beverages if you choose to do so!!! If you choose to have an entree, but do not wish to have the sides, they will adjust the price! I love their cod fish (2 pieces), but don't always want the French fries, etc., they will serve you just the fish and adjust your bill accordingly. The pound of shrimp is always cooked to perfection, we have our shrimp served with melted butter and cocktail sauce, so delicious!!! If you're in Hanover and love seafood, stop by!!!!”

“Great little ice cream shop. Loads of different flavors. Ice creams, water ices, novelties, snacks, agua fresca and more all great quality. My wife had the rum raisin ice cream which was excellent. I had something called a Michelagua...mango ice cream on the bottom covered w lime water with another scoop of mango ice cream on top. Then a mango popsicle is inserted and the rim is coated in a fruit syrup. The whole whole thing is then sprinkled with a salty spicy seasoning. Really different, refreshing and delicious. Good service, reasonable prices, great selection. Highly recommend!”

“The BEST ice cream place. The owner is a magician when it comes to creative (but never weird) flavors. Regardless of season there is always a reason to go but then again, who needs a reason to get ice cream? Well nobody but she has flavors for Easter, Christmas in July and Shark Week. My personal favs are the fall flavors (caramel apple, cinnamon roll) in a pumpkin cone. Then there is the epic creation of her husband "Marry Me". The renovated school house makes a perfect destination to get your creamiest decadent dessert. Her special for the recent solar eclipse was really cool too.”

“The food was excellent. The service was friendly & fast. Atmosphere wise it has a small dining area -- a very small dining area. But, as my Dad used to say, "You can't eat the atmosphere." If you want tasty, authentic food, this is the place to go.”

“This is our "go to" coffee shop. We like to stop when coming into town for business or shopping. It's not fancy or trendy. It is friendly people, good conversation, great drinks, & tasty pastries. I only wish that they were open earlier so that I could stop on my way to work some mornings.”
