“Steve and the crew that work there are very nice very welcoming and they do like the Steelers LOL my boyfriend told them they should have some Buffalo Bills memorabilia LOL (I'm pretty sure the gentleman that was cleaning the table did not like that, but he was"gracious" about it) ? I got the chicken fingers and french fries, now I don't know about y'all but I do like the bar french fries and that's how their french fries were yummy! My boyfriend had mild wings and a cold Italian sub 14 inch the size of those wings wow they are big! And pretty safe to say they are priced cheaper then most places in Altoona. And sadly they do not make their own bread... but they do use pacifico's.. no photos I forgot my phone in the truck bummer.. we will definitely go back!Dietary restrictions: They do have salads and cold and hot subs however they do have a lot of tempting fried foods so yeah I wouldn't go there if I had dietary restrictionsParking: This place is on 29th Street it's on the corner so you have any of those streets on the side we're in front or across the street etc..not bad..“
“Fred and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Don’t t let the fact that the restaurant shares space with the convenience store deter you. They keep it very clean - we actually overheard Fred, training a new staff member, and insisting on the very high standards for cleanliness and quality he expects. The food is great and the price is reasonable! I highly recommend this shop for flatbreads and pizza.“
“Anthony has been perfecting the BEST Italian specialties for years now. I have done the Steak Sandwich, Pizza, Alfredo, Garlic Knots etc. ALL are TOP NOTCH Delish! Tonight we did the Meatball Sub with Cheese on the TO DIE FOR ROLL. AMAZING is all i can say. WE both looked at each other about the same time and said "This meatball sub might is possibly the Best "Out of our home meatballs" EVER! Enough Said!. Keep on Doing what you are doing Anthony. Thanks again for A+ Product and Service.“
“Delicious food, amazing attention to detail, and super-nice, efficient and friendly employees! Everything we've had has been outstanding. My favorite is the greens and berries salad with steak or chicken and the house Italian dressing - fantastic!! You have to try this place, you won't be disappointed!“
“Honestly, this is the best pizza in central PA in my opinion, and i’ve had my fair share of pizza. This place is like a community staple and it’s been a part of the logan valley mall for as long as I can remember. I can remember my parents taking me here in the late 80’s when i was a toddler and it puts a smile on my face to see that it’s still there and thriving after all these years, and was there even before the mall fire many years ago. Whoever manages the place clearly does a beautiful job keeping it going.“
“Great place e to eat. Everybody is friendly and speak to you whether they know you or not.2/2/2024...had delicious dinner celebrating my best friend's 70th birthday. Our waitress was fantastic and was so nice when serving dessert to the birthday girl.“
““ All right, Frankie…one bite, everybody knows the rules.” Very very good pizza! A little floppy. If you like thin crust, then you would love this. A little cross between date night pizza and football pizza. The place a pool shark vibe. Final score 8.1. That’s a good score. That’s a good, solid score.“
“Sal's OIP is another Altoona exclusive restaurant, and Sal and his wife are legends in their own right. They've been running this business for over 25 years, and offer a hearty pizza with a chewy, fresh baked bread type of crust. There are other italian style sides like subs, strombolis, and spaghetti dinners, but sometimes a plain old pepperoni pizza is best. It usually closes for a month or so during the summer when they go on vacation, and it's dinner only (opens at 4pm).“
“Hands down the best sub/sandwich place I’ve had since I moved to Pennsylvania in 2005. And it’s not just subs! The menu is full of many different things for the whole family. Bring your hunger people because they do it BIG here. Unlike most places, what you see in the advertisement photos is exactly what you get!!!!“
“Great setting in the revitalized downtown Altoona. Amazing food. I enjoyed the "Special Mushroom" pizza. This pizza isn't a micro dose, plenty of pizza for 2. The French toast stout is extremely flavourful. The sours were great as well. My server was friendly and helpful. If you haven't been here yet, stop in!“
“My favorite out of town pizza spot. Worth the drive. So cheesy and delicious. Many great menu items and a separate area with pinball. Even a drive thru option.Kid-friendliness: Full private game room and slushi optionsWheelchair accessibility: Handicap accessible“
“Had their pizza today for the first time. They may have the best pizza in Altoona. Edit I went back for a second go of pizza. It was then I realized they do an upcharge for using a debit card. It's a surprise though they won't tell you about it.“
“My first experience with Front Street Deli on 8th Street in Altoona was the most unforgettable dinner. Unfortunately, because I'm not from the area and I wasn't sure the name of the restaurant or my exact location, I wasn't able to revisit the restaurant again for more than 9 years. But, my experience today was just as amazing as it was 9+ years ago. The inside is always spotless clean. I was greeted as soon as I entered. The helpful, warm, and welcoming young man at the register took our order, 1 slice of the Buffalo Chicken pizza, our payment, and advised 10-15 minutes. While we waited, my husband used the restroom, which is said was clean, and I waited in the lobby and eyeballed the claw game. I'm actually not sure what I'm most excited about right now, the fact that I finally found the restaurant or the fact that I spent $4, $1 each turn, and won a rubber duck each turn and a bag of dip and dots. The young man behind the counter brought out my slice of pizza just as I spent my last $1 bill. Pizza was perfect when we sat down to eat it. Not too much sauce, not too many heavy toppings, just perfect!I will recommend Front Street Deli to ALL my friends and family.Thank you for the excellent customer service and delicious pizza.Kid-friendliness: Claw machine that isn't set up to fail you.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramp out front and ramp to get to dining room.“
“My daughter's,two of my grandkids and I took the grandkids there so they could play we ate and played games and the boys rode some rides to give them something different to do that day. They had a lot of fun and I love watching them play and laugh. That's was a great time just watching them have fun. Little kids love to go there and play games, win prizes and it's safe they watch who brings the kids in and don't let them leave unless they're with the right people that brought them in. It's a nice place to relax and let the kids have fun.“
“I wish I could give this place more stars! It has a classic diner vibe. So pleasant. The staff were friendly and pretty fast. The food was good old home cooking type meals. We got breakfast. Everything was seasoned well and prepared perfectly. From the parking lot I told my husband that we'll be eating there again!“
“Service was ok. They only had one person working the counter and kitchen but he took care of us really well. The Italian subs and stromboli were dynamite. Simply prepared but the flavors were great.Kid-friendliness: Brought the family in for a nice Sunday afternoon lunch. Place was nice and very clean.“
“We arrived there by chance while passing through the area, our dinner was excellent. we were welcomed after closing time, we ordered spaghetti with sauce and meatballs, delicious Alfredo pasta, macaroni with ham and cheese, all very good. Our hostess was friendly, great service. Good wood-fired pizza. The pub is very nice and clean. Highly recommended!Kid-friendliness: Place suitable for children“
“I have been buying Brothers’s pizza and Stromboli’s since I was 14 years old and I haven’t any problems with my order. Not one mistake at me; never over cooked or under cooked or made wrong or even wrong item. That’s pretty impressive and I want to say thank you and I appreciate all of you!!! I love to support local businesses and your shop is easy to support!!! Have a wonderful thanksgiving to everyone at Brothers Pizza!!!Kid-friendliness: You can sit down and eat there , it’s definitely kid friendly!Parking: Lots of parking out front of shop“
“Best place to stop for pizza when I am In town . The staff is always amazing , pizza is always fresh and uses fresh ingredients. They have a decent selection of pizza ? to choose from . I never eat a whole slice of pizza but this you can crush:)“
“We enjoy eating there and they treat you respectfully,. Their pizza is very good but their customer service is better. My son who was bedridden ordered a buffalo chicken pizza. I took it home approximately 10 mi from the store and when I opened it there was no chicken on it. He called back and the owner drove a new pizza to our house..“
“Tried this place on a whim and due to positive reviews. We ordered the grilled chicken Stromboli and chicken parm sandwich. The chicken parm was big enough for the two of us for our dinner and we ate the Stromboli for lunch the next day. Both items were very tasty and enjoyable. Make sure you’re a garlic fan (we are) before you order the grilled chicken Stromboli. Two thumbs up!“
