Stopped in here passing through Altoona, andcan't recommend it highly enough. We got theBuffalo Chicken melt and I wish we had orderedmore... it was amazing. The bread was perfect andthe whole sandwich melted in your mouth.Friendly and polite staff and a lot of great/creativeoptions to choose from. Don't miss this place it'sworth a stop!
So this place is located in the Amtrak center in Altoona. And, unfortunately that can make it hard to discover from the street. But once you find this place you will realize that a diamond in the rough never tasted so good!The prices are reasonable and the ingredients used are high quality. The grilled cheese style sandwiches are great and just hit the spot, having appropriate volume and heft.Today I got the "Jack Wagon" grilled cheese with pepper jack. I have been wanting to try this place and finally decided to take the leap today! I didn’t realize it was INSIDE the transportation hub, but it’s like a nice little quiet spot to just have some good food. I got the Havarti Dill with the tomato bisque soup and enjoyed every bite! The staff members were very kind as well. Will definitely be returning!
