“Love this bake shop! Nestled in a 1950s style diner, the baking team serves up traditional favorites like shoefly pie and many other treats. They also make wonderful custom cakes. Their banana cake is excellent! There is plenty of parking and the prices are good.”

“I've been wanting to stop by since this place opened and I finally got to today. We got 2 iced coffee, Bavarian cream, and a pastry; everything was amazing! I'm not sure who waited on me but I believe it was the owner and she was so friendly from the moment my daughter and I walked in. 5 stars all the way around.”

“What a wonderful place!! The 50s decor is really upbeat... everything is spotlessly clean... the service is excellent... very friendly. There is outdoor seating if desired. And now the food.... the ice cream is beyond delicious! The hot dogs etc are great... and the French fries are the best! It is simply a wonderful place to enjoy!”

But even with that, with today's economy, I understand why it hasn't returned, but with that said, this place still earns 5 stars from me for the quality and flavors this kitchen sends out. You can tell the cooks (chef's) really care about the food they send out.It's still a really great diner to come to for a quick bite or a simple family dinner. Still sad to see they haven't brought back the salad bar since the plandemic, but the food is still great. Always friendly staff and has a great atmosphere. “First let me say that the staff is unfailingly courteous and cheerful and friendly, which is unsurprising, because your attitude is reflected in your food, and the food here is wonderful. I have to admit that I've never had anything but a cheesesteak here (or cheesesteak variant like a cheesesteak boli), and I may never have anything but a cheesesteak here because they're amazing and now this place is indelibly linked to cheesesteaks in my mind in a Pavlovian kind of way. I can't even drive past that intersection now without thinking of cheesesteaks.I gave this place only four stars for ambience because it's not a crystal palace with marble floors, and only a crystal palace with marble floors is worthy of this food. It's a nice, clean shop though.There is an excellent chance that your food will be made by teenagers, and that they will be incredible at it. How did they get so good at such a young age? Well, this is clearly a family-owned-and-operated business, so these kids were taught to make good food probably before they could walk.Is that a violation of child-labor laws?Not when it's art, honey.”

“If you like old school dive bars (without smoking, thank you!), this is your place. The building is awesome. The beer is cheap, the food is super reasonable and amazingly good, the service is fantastic, and the local entertainment is off the charts. One of the best burgers I have had in a while. The fries were really good. Everyone was raving about whatever they were eating.I would drive out of my way to stop in here for some entertainment and an inexpensive evening.”

So I get there just after 7 to pick up a drink I had ordered on the app so I called and they said they were closed and that it would be hard to do a refund at the time but that they would take care of me so now I have to go back tomorrow and see if I can actually get the refund or just get the same drink I had ordered tonight but not have to pay a 2nd time. Hoping they will help me and that I can just get the drink. Also there was no sign on the door with the hours.I came in this morning and they made right and did help me out and the employees were nice so I added a couple stars. Please put your hours on the door and if possible the app.”

“For what it is, this is a great location. You're getting fast food so its nothing special but for the category it's great and all my experience with the staff has been nothing but pleasant. Some of them go above and beyond for the customer and it's appreciated. Highly recommend. I wanted to update that Nicole is fantastic and one of the best employees to work with. Management has changed and it seems it may not stay as great as it once was. We shall see.”

“We came to Big Phil’s a few weeks ago last minute in a big group. They were SO nice and accommodating! Got a few tables set up for us in no time and were happy to do it. Food was delicious and drinks were cold. Will definitely be coming back!”

“I requested a 6 inch Black Forrest cake for my dads birthday and it was AMAZING!! it was so good that my family ordered another one the next week. The baker listened for exactly what we wanted and she nailed it. The 6inchcake was $45, I've never ordered from a bakery so I'm not sure if that's average or high but it was a tall cake and excellent so I'm happy with it. They also donate 22 cents of every sale to veterans.Parking: There's a huge parking lot behind the building. Each time I go that lot is packed but have been able to find a spot every time. I think there's also one or two across the street as well.Wheelchair accessibility: Not at all. There's a big step to get up to door. Also the parking issue would be difficult for anyone handicap”
