“Brew Gentleman has always been a solid spot. We hadn't made our way out there for a bit but decided to check it out again. We were pleasantly surprised to see they changed it around a bit from the previous layout, and they added some nice touches. They always have a nice line up of styles, and their flagship beer is on tap. There is a beer garden around the back of the building that is not connected that provides additional space when the weather is nice. Four packs available on site to go. No food on site, but there is a food truck sometimes.”
“Loved working with Thom and the gang for our event in August. The food was amazing and everyone was so pleasant to work with. Definitely recommend their food truck for an event. Thanks so much!”
“finally got to try this place and both meals (burrito and quesadilla) were delicious. the homemade hot sauces were excellent too and the service was super friendly and quick. we will be back!”
“The spot is fantastic and roomy, the menu was delightful and the rates were very inexpensive. quickly, efficient service and very amiable staff. I highly recommend this place.”
“Visiting from out of state, we went for the Rivers Of Steel industry tour then wanted lunch. Got the Chicken and Waffle and some pies. Generous 4 pieces of boneless chicken, lightly breaded and fried, moist and tasty. Waffle was a waffle. Cash only; they could probably get more business if they accepted credit cards. Located in the basement of the the Nyia Page Community Center, which is the old First Presbyterian Church. The double doors have a mural pf Aunt Cheryl painted on them; otherwise there is little signage and you might drive right by the place and not spot it.Update: the pies were good, had the peach and sweet potato.”
“A few days ago after a really stressful day, I decided to go to Fairways, and I had the opportunity to see three of the bartenders and the owner. I first want to say Thank you to Helen, who allowed me to play a song from one of the original Temptations with the last name Ruffin. Helen, you will never know how much it meant to me to do this for you. Next, I want to Thank Casey, she has done everything in her ability to make me feel welcome again. Thank you Casey for allowing me to share my story about forgetting my glasses when I was going to the DMV. Bob, I want to thank you for welcoming me back last Sunday and for allowing me to tell you the story that I told Casey. Lastly, I want to Thank Amanda for taking care of me as well. I really had a great time over there the other day. I hope that you all have a wonderful holiday season. Sincerely, A Very Thankful Customer”
“This place is one of...if not THE BEST restaurant in the area. Food was amazing with so many choices with such great textures and flavors melded together. Service here is impeccable and the ambiance is perfect. We will definitely be back for more if we get a reservation.”
“I come from a Mexican family in California, so when I moved to Pittsburgh, I was deeply disappointed at the lack of good, authentic Mexican food. When I found this place, I rejoiced! The food is amazing: made with the authentic basics in mind, yet refined with originality. It really feels like home in all the best ways.”
“Beyond being some of the (if not the sole) best Italian food I have ever had, what stands out most about Dish Osteria is their commitment to true hospitality; we arrived early to have drinks at the bar, and from the start we were treated with care and true personal interest. The bartender was so insightful and walked us through the menu, answering any questions we might have so that we could order our dinner with ease (it was last Wednesday at 8PM— I forget his name, but please give him his flowers. He was amazing!). I had the Little Bird bourbon cocktail and absolutely loved it. This level of care continued as we moved to our table for dinner. Our waiter and host went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our meal, refreshing our bread without us having to ask (that homemade focaccia was dangerous— we couldn’t stop eating it!), suggesting wine pairings, and also allowing us to taste two options when we couldn’t choose. Every single dish we ordered was phenomenally crafted and delicious ; we ordered the Gamberi shrimp and grilled artichoke salad to start, followed by the short rib ragu gnocchi and rigatoni with smoked scamorza for our entrees (I will dream about both of these dishes for some time). For dessert, we had the lemon cello cheesecake, which was perfectly balanced with sweet and tangy flavors. Our waiter also provided us with a complimentary glass of moscato with our dessert. This was a phenomenal first experience at this restaurant and I cannot wait to come back. I’m also gifting a visit here to some of my friends for their anniversary and can’t wait for them to try it as well!”
“Very very good, small curated menu with lots of freshness. Very good service, alekhya was extremely sweet and gave good suggestions.Had a great time.Vegetarian options: Yes”
“Do yourself a favor and order the potatoes, they are crispy and perfectly seasoned. The bread is amazing as are the other Italian baked goods!Dietary restrictions: There are several baked goods labeled nut-free”
“This place is AMAZING! My mom and I are in town for a college tour, and many people were walking around with the ice cream so I suggested we give it a try. Immediately the two guys in there were delightful and very helpful and cheery. The atmosphere was so fun the moment we walked in. The flavors were amazing and I almost couldn’t choose between the Thin Mint and the Pittsburgh Pride. I ended up going with the latter. It is like brownie/oreo/cookie chunks and butterscotch. There might be another thing added. My mom got the pear flavor. We are both extremely satisfied with our choices. They did say that the flavors change up pretty often - for example, they’re getting ready for Blackberry Lemonade. But Pittsburgh Pride will always be available. So if you’re looking for a cute little dessert place after dinner, this is the place!”
“We Finally made it after seeing all the post online. Would first like to say the staffing was amazing in answering any questions prior to ordering also letting us sample the brisket before adding It to the burger ( it was excellent ). The dry rub ribs and homemade BBQ Sauce is BY FAR the best I’ve had anywhere in PA or in my life actually. It wasn’t until we were leaving we found out the staff( Kenya , Marquis and Nigeria ) were not part of the ownership . That’s how much pride and they took into the establishment ( hard to find now a days )…So the owner did great choosing his staffing !. Between the service and food we will gladly be spending our hard earned money here over and over again ..Place is a hidden gem in a small town that people need to make the trip for .. You won’t be disappointed”
“A great hidden spot, you might miss it driving past but once you come you’ll wonder why you haven’t tried it. Great seating, even more so now that they added a covered and heated exterior.”
“Steve and I enjoyed our Easter dinner at Senti. Chef Antonio created a very fresh Linguine Con Vongole with rapini and brought back his Pollo Valdastana, which was do flavorful with ham and fontina cheese. We enjoyed our time with Holly at the bar and talking with Franco. We just. love the welcoming atmosphere here.”
“A high end, high priced, and high quality experience. The seafood options are wonderful. Black cod with a hint of heat and spice or a hong kong style sea bass or some delectable scallops. The shellfish tower was light on content for $80 but made up for with good flavor.Cocktails can be hit or miss and I found them to be fairly weak.Service was top notch and our hostess was very knowledgeable and friendly.”
“Very amazing food, if you are looking for something new or just visiting and want some delicious Lebanese food this is the place to come, the service was amazing and the food was delicious!Parking: Plenty of street parking roughly 2 blocks worth”
“A truly unique atmosphere! Had a cigar & whiskey in the cigar lounge which was a really unique (speakeasy) like experience.Dining room was very comfortable. It’s an open concept but it’s not loud. Menus are tablets which can dial in allergies or certain profiles you’re looking for with food, wine, liquors & cigars. You can tell a lot of thought went into the little details. Which is impressive.Dinner- venison loin was cooked perfectly & everything that was on the plate tasted great. Sommelier provided great wine recommendations for courses. Server was outstanding. Can’t wait to go back!”
“Definitely vegetarian friendly, which is often difficult to find in Pittsburgh. We appreciated the variety of vegetarian options … BBQ Mushroom with Rajas, Buffalo Cauliflower, and Sweet Potato tacos were delicious ?Vegetarian options: Mushroom, Cauliflower, Sweet Potato options for tacos, burritos, bowls, quesadillas, and salads”
“Wendy the waitress was amazing. She did a fantastic job and was always there to serve our needs. The pasta on the menu was amazing as was all the sides we had. The only down side was that I wanted a Bolognaise pasta and Wendy told me that it was not on the menu, but they could make up a batch for me. First off, unlike the other pasta's on the menu that were amazing, the Bolognaise dish that the chef threw together for me was mediocre at best. Not to mention, I was charged $46 for the sauce and $3 for the noodles? For a plate of pasta that was not good at all. When all of the other dishes offered much more of a delicious pasta at half the cost. Long story short, don't order off the menu and you will enjoy this very much.”
“Owner is such a kind person. Came here after a very long day at work and he gave me a free mango lassi to drink while I waited for the food.Food is absolutely delicious and great por New India Grill is my new favorite spot.”
“Waffles aren't that great...The omelet was delicious, but I couldn't see the added green pepper. The jasmine blooming tea didn't have a good scent either. The Turkish bread we ate together was delicious.^^”
“ECHT is an eclectic yet laid back spot where you can try great food and catch up with friends or enjoy some solo dining. The physical space is intriguiging to look at, and they have a wide variety of items including but not limited to coffee, tea, cocktails, and breakfast and lunch fare.”
“Such an awesome restaurant. Had a great experience. The Taiwanese beef noodle soup was fantastic. Same with the wonton soup; never had better wontons. We also got beef fried rice and string bean chicken. All of it was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. Thanks for the great lunch!”
“Brian was an excellent tour guide and we had a fun time with the group as a whole! We didn't feel rushed and had a decent amount of time to spend at all three breweries.”
“Sorry, I can’t speak the service or the atmosphere. It was actually bought for me, but it was so good and fresh it took about an hour or so to get to me, and it still was fresh. I’ll Definitely be paying this spot a visit soon☺️??”
“This place was recommended to me by a friend, and it absolutely did not disappoint. Great service, chatted with one of the owners. He shared his families beginnings, starting with his Nana’s exceptional recipes. They use quality ingredients… then they add pure love, respect and consistency in the food that they put forth daily. Great people, great story and great pizza. The dough was light and crispy, a perfect mix so the toppings can shine! Cash only. A definite must if you’re in Verona!”
“Clean and colorful, all-gender friendly, delicious coffee cakes, very nice owner. He really has a sense of community and is using his space to do good in the community through neighborhood clean-ups, chess events for all levels, and more. Check it out.”
“Looking for that truly special restaurant? Spork in Garfield is it! I can't stop thinking about our experience at this chef-led restaurant. This isn't just a restaurant, it's a culinary experience. What sets this place apart is the farm to table ingredients and truly special preparations; which creates dishes that are so dynamic and interesting. The team works with small producers, grows some of their own produce + herbs, and mills their own grain for house made bread. My favorite sip was the "So Long Frankie Louise" cocktail and my favorite bite was the homemade bread roll. When you get a reservation here expect out of this world food & service plus:- Truly great alcohol free options including mocktails, zero proof beer & wine Surprise bites throughout your meal.- Lots of choice & small plates - great for the table to try a little of a variety of dishes.- This is such a unique spot to book for that special occasion.Definitely go hungry and be prepared to be well nourished!”
“Honestly I keep thinking how dumb I've been to not have discovered this place sooner! I walked in within 2 minutes of them opening so I was the only one in the place. The waitresses and the owner all introduced themselves to me and asked my name. From that point on, they treated me like we had been friends for years. I had only wanted to try this place because I have heard the live music is great and the atmosphere is better, but when I got there, I was a bit hungry. I took a look at the menu and didn't see anything I would like but because they were so nice to me, I thought I would try the Italian hoagie. BEST DECISION EVER. I mean wow I can't stop thinking about how good it was. While I was waiting for my food to be made, I was looking at some of their upcoming events. They have an event called "Dingus Day" coming up and I wanted to know more. The owner came out and sat down next to me and started looking for videos on their tv. He found a clip of Anderson Cooper making fun of this dingus day and that's why he likes celebrating it. We walked YouTube videos for 15 minutes til my food was ready. I've never laughed or had so much fun with complete strangers in my life. I can't wait to go back and hang out with the people who made me feel like family from the second I walked in.”
