“My family decided to visit Caribbean Deck Cafe while we were vacationing in the Poconos. From the moment we walked in, Shaine treated us like family! He allowed us to taste test a few dishes and we enjoyed talking to him about all kinds of things. As for the food itself, it felt like we were at Shaine's backyard barbeque! He kept piling it on and the portions were huge! We tried the curry goat (my favorite, though everything could arguably be considered a favorite!), the oxtail, stew chicken, and jerk chicken - each dish was full of flavor, hot/fresh, and oh so satisfying! The curry goat was seasoned to perfection, the oxtail was meaty and tasty, the stew chicken meat was fall-off-the-bone (see photo), and the spicy homemade jerk sauce was out of this world! Anytime we go to the Poconos, we plan on being back here for sure. The sides consisted of plantains and cabbage, and both paired very well with each meal. Rice options are rice and peas or white rice (rice was delicious). We dined in and appreciated the large plates and overall attentive experience. After our meal, Shaine hooked us up with sweet potato pudding and Hennessy cake on the house! And I must say: Both hit the spot! The sweet potato pudding was like a slice of sweet potato pie with pudding consistency - it was hot and sweet, and it was exactly what I needed after the amazing meal. Hennessy cake gave me rum cake vibes (note: I don't drink alcohol and am far from a connoisseur) and it was also great! We want to thank Shaine for really going above and beyond to take care of our family. The Poconos community is blessed to have him and Caribbean Deck Cafe! “Mom and I were cruising by with our latest oversized FB marketplace find strapped to the roof of the wagon one snowy morning, and came around the corner, and I remember it now in slow motion, pointing, "mom looooook", and a sharp turn was made! I didn't even know what this place was at first, but I knew a collector (like us) lived here, and knew we needed to grab a few pics! Our phones started snapping immediately.Then mom says "I think they roast coffee here", and my eyes opened wide, because we're both a bit of coffee aficionados. But also, we each needed a cup, so when I went inside and went right to the counter and asked "what do you make that's good?", just dieing for a maple latte at that point, I was no less than disappointed when the girl working the counter said they don't actually make anything there. They just roast coffee, and I guess make tea or whatever.Which is still cool! But I hope they know if they actually brewed the coffee they roast, and made the second little room to the left where you walk in, a place where you could sit and enjoy their delicious blends in all of their glory, well we definitely would've spent a lot more time and money there, without a doubt. Also if it were a coffee shop, I'd look at doing some meetings there, it'd be perfect!But maybe they do know all of this and it just comes down to local permits/zoning.But if that's the case... go to your town hall meetings and buy an Italian espresso machine, fo' sheezy. This place isn't the ugly duckling you think it is... it's an absolutely stunning gem, and is the only real destination I can think of in this town!Anyway, so they have their coffee packaged up, ground or whole bean, in all different sizes, K-cups and all of that. Prices were undeniably reasonable.One real cool part though, is they have these little "sampler packs" that are like a $1.50 and is enough to make 6 cups (half a pot). They have all different kinds of delicious blends, so we grabbed a few. Brewed up the maple bacon blend (I think) with some french toast, and it was SLAMMING, as expected. I have a couple more different "samplers" to try, and can't wait! A little gift bag with a few of these sample packs in them would make such a thoughtful and wonderful Christmas gift for any coffee lover!Well, let me just wrap this up by saying, this is such an awesome spot, definitely worth checking out. I'll definitely be back, hopefully before Christmas to do some shopping!Dietary restrictions: They don't serve food or brew coffee, they just roast it. But they definitely have decaf too.”

“I accidentally ordered 12 hoagies from here instead of a similarly named place in Scranton. They delivered them to Scranton at no charge and all of the hoagies were excellent. I really appreciated them going out of their way to deliver and will definitely order from them again. Especially if I am out in the Poconos.”

“This place is great the staff are friendly and the food is good and constant in flavor. They also have tables to sit in as well . My top favorite dish here is the Fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken and broccoli. Just add a dash of Parmesan cheese and black pepper and it's even more ”

We decided to try the zeppoli for dessert and this took us back to growing up in Brooklyn and Long Island. Yummy! “Food is decent, pretty expensive tho. The wait times are absolutely ridiculous. For cheese steak wings salad and fries it took all of about 1hr. From entering order to leaving the restaurant. They tell you 30 minutes at least when you order then take your 10-15minute drive there and then wait another 10 minutes. Yeah there was a couple customers in there. But I can order the same amount of food right down the road at another restaurant and wait 20-30 till I’m home with food not 1hr. Good people in there though.”
