“Just had a great late night meal to go from Chesik's. Everything we ordered was great, the wing sauces are exceptionally good. Best Wing Bites I've had in the area! We'll definitely stop by again soon! Thank you.”
“One of the hidden gems of the Scranton area. Friendly staff, delicious food, outdoor seating, beach volleyball, atv/utv friendly, and one of the best bartenders in the area (Bailey)”
“Had an amazing experience at Anthony's! My family of 5 came in today on a roadtrip from Florida to Vermont and got a large variety of foods. I got breakfast, but the table also got burgers, pizza, and even wings! Speaking of which, the wings were possibly the best wings my family has ever had, and it's a shame we don't live in the area to have them more often. The pancakes had a homecooked taste to them and the chocolate chips were simply decadent. It's a family owned restaurant, so the food took a bit, but it was well worth the wait. Thank you for an amazing experience, we will definitely be repeat customers next time we are in town. :)”
“This was my first time back since new management turned a good bar into a GREAT BAR - the 1905 Tavern!!! Only had “Hot Caesar” wings which were great and a couple Outlaw beers!?? Can’t wait to come back and try other things on the menu because they all look delicious! Bartenders & other patrons were all friendly! Reasonable prices! Overall, a great, fun night!”
“We first heard of Chef Von through Next Level Chef. We stopped today as we passed through Scranton. We had the new hangover smash burger which was off the charts. Everyone was super friendly, food was amazing and we even got to briefly met Chef Von. Highly recommended. Get there before he wins next level and you won’t be able to get a seat.”
“We ordered from here a few months ago, when we found them following the Lackawanna Pizza Trail. Pizza was really good, wondered if it was always like that. We ordered from there again last night, OMG... it was AMAZING. Easy one of our top 3 favorite places! Always have a Happy Staff. Great food. Try it you won't be disappointed.”
“Suffice it to say there were many Indian patrons there! I point this out as an indication of acceptable food preparation from those that have better reference than me.But let me give you Gringo Rob's perspective... The food was delicious! Seemed of good quality, very flavorful, and chicken was cooked perfectly. Girl at counter was nice and helpful and the owner was cordial. Good experience and we would definitely go back. Some things that kinda bothered me as follows. There was gross lack of atmosphere. Yes, an enticing aroma greets you when you walk in but it ends there. Décor is low budget, the place looks like a recycled strip mall front (which it is), few lamps were added but bright high hats remain and the place is too clinical. I don't recall if there was even background Indian music playing.Food is served in cardboard dishes which get soggy, deform and absorb the yummy sauces. Sorry, I would sacrifice the environment for another lick of the sauce! And a big pet peeve with this place and others in general (yes, I know this is common practice now) is that after I stand in line and place my order and go to pay the point of sale device gives me options for a tip (with the girl staring at me as I have to make a decision). I hate this! I have not yet tasted the food. I have not yet experienced any service. This is not a tip at all. This is simply a strong arm technique to extract more revenue. Just raise the prices and dont do this! But the chicken tikka was yummy. And the chicken curry was yummy. Ooh, and the garlic naan was soo good. And I am old and grumpy. So I will go back and I encourage all to try this place! And if the owner reads this, think about the décor and cardboard pates and see what you can do.By the way, I did cave and gave 18% tip at the register when I paid. And to my surprise, the girl said 'thank you' - I think the first time the POS tip was ever acknowledged at any of the many places that I have been to that do this! Kudos to the young lady!”
“Food is actually kosher which is surprisingly hard to find. Everyone who works there are good, happy, clean people. Restaurant is always clean and comfortable. They are very accommodating just only thing is they don't have any pork products but the substitutes are delicious and worth trying.”
“Great food. Friendly service. Can't go wrong grabbing a bite to eat here.Wheelchair accessibility: not wheel chair accessible but, I'm sure if you call ahead they would ring your food out to you to go.”
“My first time there today and Sara is amazing! I love the atmosphere and all the vintage merchandise. I had the Pistachio peep latte and loved it! I will definitely be going back! ❤️❤️❤️❤️”
“This is a hidden little treasure in NEPA. The food is absolutely amazing - everything from the avocado egg sandwiches to the grilled cheese to the coffee cake muffins! YUM & the coffee is delicious! The staff is so personable and easy going and the entire atmosphere of the shop is relaxing. We go in there and spend hours chatting and eating and drinking. SUPER CUTE SPOT highly recommend A++++++”
“Dutchies is AWESOME! Great food, great people, great atmosphere! They genuinely care about the community and their customers! 10/10 experience, look forward to going back!”
“Good food and friendly staff. I have a gluten allergy and they had lots of options. Didn't get sick so no cross contamination which is a plus!Dietary restrictions: They hada good selection of gluten free and vegan dishes.Kid-friendliness: We had a large party including my 15 month old granddaughter. The staff was friendly and accommodated us with no problems.”
“Good stuff! Very much enjoyed and I'm not a breakfast guy. I will be back because we are in the area for youth sports and have a place we all enjoyed!Glad we stopped and tried it out!”
“Owners are awesome, as are most of the staff. The food is fantastic, high quality and priced right. Always a band or dj in the weekends. Late night crowd is a little questionable. Would absolutely recommend.”
“I'm not *sure* this is the best burger I've ever had, but it certainly is the best burger I can remember. Stopped in randomly on my way from NYC to home in Toronto and was absolutely delighted by the food. Fries are also excellent, and the deep fried provolone wedges (!) were a revelation.Strongly recommended. Great food, great value, and very friendly and helpful staff.”
“Absolutely delicious cake. Ordered for my son's birthday and they were super accommodating and the cake was honestly one of the best I've ever had. The bakery is super clean and all the employees I dealt with were super friendly and very professional.”
“I am a vegetarian, and sometimes the veg options at a restaurant taste blah. The veg meals at Fork n Bowl are packed with flavor and nutrients. One of my favorite places to eat in Lackawanna County.”
“The ice cream tastes so authentic.. Did not expect to have the ice cream taste that good. Place is amazing and they sell there own milk. I purchased chocolate milk and ice cream. They gave my puppy a pup cup and he loved it also. Will return and consider stopping to pick up the ice cream containers for family...”
“Everything from the delicious ice cream shop run by Christine who has become a fabulous friend to the Meat Market which has the best meats at reasonable prices by far from any other store around near or far and the Service is wonderful ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“We got Mexican food here tonight and it was so good. Ordered the boneless bites, beef burrito and wet burrito with chicken and red sauce. Portions were generous, price was good and obviously food quality great as well. The boneless bites are amazing!!! Didn't know they delivered, and so happy that I was able to chose off the Mexican menu which I was not aware they had either ??.”
“I LOOOOVVVEEE this sushi. Sir takes his time and makes the rolls with love! They’re so fresh every time and so tasty. Ma’am is so sweet and makes you feel welcome. Best sushi in the area honestly.Parking: Parking is free with validation of ticketWheelchair accessibility: There’s an elevator in the mall and there’s a lot of open space on the way to and surrounding the restaurant. Tables are at an appropriate height as well for wheelchair users!”
“We had a beautiful 25th anniversary dinner party here. Everything was 100% perfect. Delicious food, fast service, beautiful restaurant, reasonably priced. Thank you!”
“Service: Commend to Karen for handling our big group and kept her poise for every request and needs/wants. We went here with 9 people plus a kid. She aced that customer service and plus have a good rapport with everyone in the group.Food: We ordered fried pickles and smoke house tots for appetizers which was really good (it comes with arugula). Then for the entrees we got mixed of everything. The desserts was okay I was expecting that the creme brulee cheesecake will be burnt on top (torched) but it is just caramel drizzled (I do not think that one is worth it) but they have other options for dessert that looks enticing.Ambiance: The place looks rustic and cozy at the same time. We liked the music and the vibes of people around.”
“This is a place I never knew existed to my knowledge. Secret I delivered pizz to an apartment across the street I did not know what it was. The service top notch, the breakfast I hat was excellent and well made and the atmosphere is a Diner but well maintained and attractive. Look it up on Google maps or how ever you do that, but go there once and I know you'll be back. Oh some times a bit of a wait but generally quick seating and they have a parking lot .Parking: L shape parking around the Diner and in the street!Kid-friendliness: Well I saw kids there. Lol”
“We had a fantastic first visit at Chifa Peru and would highly recommend it! We'll definitely be going back to try more of their menu. The service was great - we were greeted and seated immediately upon entering, and our waitress was kind and attentive. All the food we tried was delicious, obviously great quality and also generous quantity for the prices. To drink, we had the Kola Inglesa (a tasty red soda) and the chicha morada, a purple corn drink that was sweet and had a nice cinnamon flavor. For our meals, we tried the half chicken and Kam Lu Wantan. The Kam Lu Wantan was a BIG serving with large pieces of meat, vegetables (snow peas, green peppers, and onion), pineapple, delicious fried wontons, and a red sauce that was similar to sweet and sour, but with more flavor. While that was great, the chicken was the real standout - incredibly flavorful skin and meat, juicy and tender. The breast was drier than the dark meat but certainly not dry. The green sauce is the perfect compliment - herby, creamy, and a bit of spice. The fries were crispy and perfectly cooked, and the salad with light creamy dressing cut through all the richness. And at such a generous serving, it really is a steal. For dessert, we tried the cherimoya ice cream and flan and both were excellent - some of the best flan I've had! And the cherimoya ice cream definitely has to be tried - it's a familiar but completely new taste at the same time, custardy and fruity.PLUS, when we got our check we also found out that, because we spent over $50 dining in, we got a free chicken to take home! It was carefully packaged, along with a tub of the green sauce - such a lovely surprise and generous giveaway. (I believe you can also get free 1/4 or 1/2 chickens for meeting lower spending thresholds.)This is the kind of local restaurant we love to visit - unique and delicious food and great service. Definitely check it out!Parking: They have a good sized private parking area behind the restaurant.”
“I cannot believe for the years my husband and I have been coming here we never left a review! The Cabin staff, food, and atmosphere is top notch and many budget friendly options! Wings are subperb including Mike's Famous sauce! One of our favorite local places to eat for sure! Forever customers!”
“I love this place so much that I started working here.Vegetarian options: Roasted feta with honey, falafel, salad and pasta with marinara, moussaka (eggplant in bechemel”
“We were at the train museum today and found this gem in scranton, this place was amazing. The guacamole and spice salasa was the bomb. Next time we are going to travel through Scranton, this is a must stop place for us.”
“All food was prepared to perfection. Desserts are indulgent and ALL made there, including the ice cream. ALL staff was extremely welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable in offering suggestions when I told them my preferences. Try it and see for yourself!”
