Had a great meal and service last night at Colao's however we were surprised to be charged a 3% surcharge for using a credit card. According to a Forbe's article, businesses that charge a fee are supposed to post a sign that clearly discloses fees prior to the transaction. It was printed on the receipt but my brother who paid the bill said the 3% was added to the bill before Colao's knew he was using a card. I understand the cost of owning a business is increasing but customers deserve honesty and transparency. Below the sign in your entryway which lists your specials you should disclose that fee.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by a hostess who was not only indifferent but downright rude. Her demeanor was unwelcoming, and her lack of courtesy set the tone for the entire evening.To compound matters, the restaurant inexplicably closed its kitchen over an hour earlier than their posted hours. When questioned about this blatant disregard for their advertised operating times, the hostess showed no remorse or accountability. Instead, she dismissed my concerns with a careless shrug, leaving me feeling utterly disregarded as a customer.In summary, my experience at Calao's Italian restaurant was nothing short of a disaster. The abysmal service and disregard for customer satisfaction are wholly unacceptable. I implore the management to address these glaring issues promptly if they wish to retain any semblance of credibility in the competitive restaurant industry.

Krista was hands down very knowledgeable, so energetic and animated, and so friendly. I thought I recognized her, she recognized my sons name on the credit card. It was old home day from 10 years ago at Red Lobster. Then we all talked before leaving.
