I work in town not far away from fortune garden. We order a couple times a month. We always have great service and out order is always right. Delivery is always prompt and on time.
Best Chinese I had in Erie,Pa ??♂️ not a 5/5 but better then the rest. Guaranteed
I ordered Chinese vegetables and when I opened the container, it was literally nothing but onions, with maybe two carrots and two unidentifiable objects swimming in a watery sauce. I have never seen anything like this. Do not order from them!!!!
phone person rushes the order on the phone. reads you your order back to you and it still isn't right. Toddlers running around. maybe a babysitter would help the compression of the orders.. Then when you ask if the order is correct they read it back to you correctly but drive home to find its incorrect after you specifically asked was everything there to avoid this disappointment. you call and were told you never ordered those items.. but read the order back to me during placement. humm used to be a favorite place. now it went to hell in a hand basket. bring back original owners PLEASE.
This review is to serve as a reminder to myself to never order from this place ever again, no matter what! I placed an order tonight at 7:43 PM and it said it would be delivered at 8:37 PM. By 8:57 I had not received my order and so I called to ask about it. The person who took my call was very abrasive and would barely let me get a word in. When I finally got a chance to give my address, she simply said, it's on it's way, and hung up on me. at 9:43 it was delivered. The food was cold, as it had obviously been sitting around for a while. When the delivery driver brought it (45 minutes after I called asking where it was), he apologized and said they were very busy... yet I never once got a call from them about it. The two soups we ordered, after I heated them back up, were okay, but the "honey chicken" I ordered looked nothing like any honey chicken I'd ever had anywhere else in my life and was completely inedible to me. I took one bite and threw the rest away. I absolutely will never give this place my business ever again, no matter how desperate I get.
I only placed a delivery order but the woman who was on the phone was very pleasant and thorough!...
My family and I love their food.wouldn’t order anywhere else but there!!
Some of the best Chinese in Erie!!
I have been ordering from Fortune Garden for the last ten years and until today never had a bad experience or food. The new people there are rude and the food has went downhill. The female employee seemed agitated when I asked for vegetable fried rice (for $1 more, as I don't eat pork) when I ordered my lunch special. I went to pick up my food and as there was a short wait, I asked to add cream cheese wontons to my order. I told her I didn't eat pork but when I sat down to eat there was a bag of pork wontons. When I called to tell them, she argued with me that I had ordered pork wontons. Say less. She just lost them a long time customer. Bad enough my order was wrong but she was very rude. I'll spend my money by elsewhere
Horrible! Everything seemed fine at first, even though our food was cold when we got it and my boyfriend’s chicken was dry and old tasting, until I wake up the next morning throwing up uncontrollably until 9 o clock that night. Literally throwing up every 15 to 20 minutes for 12 hours. Come to find out I got food poisoning! When we called to tell them about our experience they just offered us more food! Just all together a horrible restaurant. We will never be ordering from them again and I warn you to take caution when ordering for here.
I urge all customers to stay clear of this establishment and to go elsewhere for Chinese food. I ordered two chicken dishes (General Tso's and Kung Pao Chicken) for $26 off uber eats and one of the Kung Pao Chicken turned out to be completely spoilt. I took one bite and felt sick to my stomach. It had a strong odor, the chicken was rubbery, and it was gray in color. After talking to the owner about my concerns she first denied that I had ordered there and then stated that I should call uber if I had any issue with their food. From their end, the management was very unprofessional and did not show even an ounce of respect, concern, or courtesy for their customers. This is the place to go if you want spoilt Chinese food, to be told its your problem, and then to be rudely hung up on. Do yourself and your health a favor and take your business to one of Erie's many other safe and more professional restaurants. It could possibly save you and your family an upset stomach or food poisoning. They should be reported to the Food Health Department.
I really miss the old owners....they could cook....the food is still ok however they have no sitting in to eat and.....Unfortunately the restaurant has become pretty dirty...NEEDS A GOOD CLEANING!!!
