Very cute restaurant! We did a late lunch around 3-4pm and it was very relaxing, chill atmosphere. Our hostess and waitress were both very pleasant. We got the crab cake appetizer, yellow pike sandwich, and salmon lox bagel. Portions were filling, fish was perfect, and the potato salad was delicious. First time here, but we would definitely go again!Only downside was the small bathrooms that are not handicap or baby changing table friendly.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian burger

The place has a great atmosphere and the food didn't disappoint. The lobster roll tasted fresh and was worth the price. They don't have much of a choice of non-alcohol beers though, that was sad, other than that all was fine. Portobello mushrooms were good, clam strips were tasty.

Smuggler's Wharf has been my go to restaurant for many years. There is always something on the menu for everyone. I have never been disappointed.

The Wharf was very ok for the premium price. Our side salads were a 1/4 piece of iceberg lettuce that we had to cut ourselves with our butter knives. Granted it was topped with a 1/4 slice of tomato (whole), some sliced carrot and a red onion ring but for almost $7 extra, not worth it. We ordered the prime rib. It was decent. The garlic mashed potatoes were less than impressive. A friend ordered the clam chowder and said it was very ok, along with the lobster sandwich that was lacking flavor as well. I gave the service 3 stars due to the fact that our server was detail-oriented and friendly but ultimately quite slow. All together an alright meal, but when you’re paying the premium for water-front dining in the winter it was definitely not worth the $40/plate.

So, traveling from Texas and wanting to stop at this cute little place on the Lake, we go inside and are immediately denied service because I have my Teacup Yorkie in a secure traveling case. The man didn't offer his name, but stated he was the manager. I told him we aren't from the area and are visiting from out of state and he said no animals are allowed. The dog is a registered ESA animal and has papers stating such. I requested outdoor seating, but they had none. I offered my papers but the no name manager stated that it didn't matter if we had papers. I asked him if he was refusing us service because we had an animal that clearly couldn't be left in the vehicle, he said yes. And we left. Poorly played Erie, PA...definitely not Texas friendly or pet friendly. Won't be coming back here Ever.

Food was okay, but terribly overpriced for portion sizes and quality. Decor is a bit outdated.

Went here today, which is obviously in the off-season, and everything was still great. Seems like it would a very good time to stay on the bay front and hop from bar to bar and restaurant to restaurant. That said, the battered perch was the best fish I have ever had, and I am not a fish fan. Also tried the catch of the day, which was arctic char. Wasn't my favorite but the salmon fans in the party said it was perfect. I would also recommend the mushrooms as a side. Great view, great location, and even a fire in the fire place for the cold weather. Would definitely recommend. Follow for more...Kid-friendliness: Aquariums, kids menu

Eating here is mostly about atmosphere as it sits right on Presque Isle Bay with a beautiful view. I hoped the seafood would be better. I ordered Walleye. What I got was 8 or 9 pieces of pre-breaded fish logs dumped in a fryer and served without anything else, not even potato chips. It seems like this should be a seafood restaurant, but you would probably be better served ordering a strip steak which my wife did. It was excellent.
