Only reason I give this location a 3 is due to the view/location. Unfortunately very short staffed, which leads to numerous issues. Went to sit in couches on the deck before leaving for dinner, keep in mind none of the tables were taken, a horribly rude waitress comes over to ask if we checked in with the hostess (I get that, I worked in he service business and I get the rules) BUTT we told her we were just sitting taking in the view, didn't need served and would be getting up shortly. She huffed away and ran to get the hostess, who was very sweet and reluctantly asked us to move. We were headed out so no issue. But I don't see how sitting at a couch is an issue, for a paying guest. Later that night, after 7pm we went to the bar and it took approximately 45 minutes to get our burger (from a rather limiting menu) at the bar, which was fully burnt, but didn't want to wait another 45 minutes so ate it and kept my mouth shut. Out of drinks at the bar. My only compliment goes to the night manager, Bryan, who moved us to a room with a balcony and lake view, not something offered when we first checked in. That room had an ongoing leak on the balcony from what I guess was the AC unit above. They also need to looks at cleaning off the balconies and exterminating them, as come night fall they were covered in huge spiders, I did see the webs in the morning.

We had an incredible experience here for a weekend getaway with our family! The location was perfect, we had a great view of the Bay and the rooms were very clean and spacious. We enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor pool and the hotel market, cafe, and restaurant. This is the perfect place to stay when visiting Erie!

Very pleased with the hotel. Stayed here 2 nights. Our room was quiet and we didn't mind that we had a view of the parking lot because were there to sight see. The only complaint is the weak bathroom fan, the silly design of the shower glass that did not close and a slow sink drain. Both beds were uncomfortable for me- one seemed harder than the other, but after i switched beds I was able to sleep. The staff was courteous and professional. We didn't have a lot of time for the hotel amenities, but I did notice that the indoor pool is very small and as per usual at any hotel, a family can take over the entire space easily. The infinity pool is fun, but again it can be crowded quickly. We were leaving just as a woman was bringing a preschooler in to splash around. I wish it were adults only. The restaurant is very expensive. I had a salad that had goat cheese on it and wish i would have asked to have it taken off. The flavor was overwhelming for the salad. One evening we had drinks on the first level. I had the strawberry and mint mule and it was delicious. Beautiful ambiance! We would stay there in the future.

We stayed at this hotel for one night and had a lovely time. It's at a convention center and is set up for business travelers, so there isn't complementary breakfast, but there are numerous restaurant options. We traveled with our kids and loved our view, our room, the restaurant with the patio, and the pools.

As a Marriott Silver member, I recently had an overnight stay at the Courtyard Marriott in Erie, PA, and I must express my deep disappointment with the experience. The issues I encountered during my stay were unacceptable and left me feeling dissatisfied with the level of service provided. Upon arriving at my room, I was dismayed to find that the water in the bathtub did not drain, leaving it completely stagnant. This inconvenience made showering a frustrating and uncomfortable experience. I immediately brought this concern to the attention of the staff during check-out, specifically to a person named Jefferson Davis. Regrettably, his response was dismissive, and he seemed disinterested in addressing the matter. Instead of acknowledging the inconvenience and offering a resolution, he merely asked if I wanted a receipt, leaving me feeling unheard and disregarded. As a loyal Marriott Silver member, I have come to expect a certain standard of service and attention to guest needs. Unfortunately, my recent experience at the Courtyard Marriott in Erie fell far short of these expectations. The unresponsive attitude displayed by Jefferson Davis added further disappointment to an already unsatisfactory stay. I sincerely hope that the management of Courtyard Marriott takes this review seriously and uses it as an opportunity to improve their services. Addressing plumbing issues promptly and training staff to be more attentive and empathetic to guests' concerns is crucial for maintaining the reputation of Marriott as a brand that cares about its customers. I trust that necessary steps will be taken to prevent such incidents from recurring, ensuring a more enjoyable and comfortable stay for future guests. ( unable to attach video but I can provide)

At the outset let me say that this is a beautiful hotel and the staff is well trained and friendly and our room was fairly impressive. Our problem is with the 'pet friendly' nature of this and other Marriott hotels that are apparently trying to take market share away from the kennel industry. My wife and I are not anti-pets and have stayed in many so called pet friendly hotels that isolate specific floors to folks traveling with their pets. This hotel allows dogs on every floor and the lobby, to the extent that we had dogs (leashed) walk within inches of our dining table during dinner. We also encountered (twice) an unleashed dog directly outside our room. Upon informing one of the unleashed dog owners (whose dog came running towards my wife the minute we stepped into the hallway), that his dog should be on a leash per hotel policy he quickly spewed vile profanity at us and marched off in a huff. At these prices and this quality level, we really expected a much better experience - with at least some enforcement of their leash policy (which seemed to be totally absent). If you are looking for a place that is essentially a 'pet hotel' you will probably be happy here. We won't be staying here again.

Booked the "Sunset Suite" as a surprise to my spouse to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. We were enjoying the outdoor infinity pool while a marauding group of young men (about 6 total) somehow entered the (what should have been secure) pool area. They started milling around our belongings and harassing us to give them our room key so they could get inside. This made us VERY uncomfortable and, as much as we tried to ignore and not speak to them, they started making rude comments about us and the others at the pool for not doing so. Someone let them into the building, which made us very nervous about our personal possessions in our room. Knowing these sketchy folks were now inside, we cut our swim short. Upon entering the indoor pool area to get back to our room we discovered that these hoodlums had thrown a GARBAGE CAN into the indoor pool, spilling all of its gross contents into the water, they tossed in ALL the towels (still folded) AND they even threw in an upholstered chair! We notified hotel staff of the incident, shared our observations, and aired our concerns. We have stayed at this hotel at least 4 other times without incident, but this event really made us unsettled and put a damper on what should have been a most memorable and special trip.

I am a very big animal lover. However, when you poy this much for one night, specifically book this room to get away, the amazing views, and the infinity pool, and want to enjoy it all, just to find you allow dogs to swim in the infinity pool too. It's terrible. Like I said, I myself have animals, but you really should stress how 'dog friendly' your hotel really is. When I questioned the front desk, the young girl looked blankly at me. Not to mention my friend's bed had green feces on the comforter. It was so gross. They did take $$ off our room, but again you trust when the sign clearly states your bedding has been clean, that it is clean. All in all we made the best of our stay but you should get a splash pad for the dogs and leave the infinity pool to us and maybe have specific rooms for people that bring their dogs because I'm pretty sure that is what was on the bedding.

My husband and I faithfully stay at The Courtyard Marriott Erie Bayfront in one of their sunset rooms every year ( sometimes multiple times a yr) We stayed last week for 4 nights in suite 437 ** we even brought our travel cat to hang with us. The trip was going great until OUR BEDROOM CEILING CAVED IN WITH DIRTY WATER and DRYWALL!! Yes, it happened at 10:30 pm Saturday night. It was on our WEDDING ANNIVERSARY. We couldn't believe this gush of water came down ( pouring into the a/c unit in the bedroom and also my husbands clothes) - we called the front desk immediately. the maintenance worker came up and said he's heard of the issue before with other rooms ( what??!) and there was nothing they could do but put a bucket and towels down and we would need to deal with the dripping through the night and couldn't be moved anywhere else. This was so disappointing. Besides the loud dripping sound all night we couldn't sleep b/c we thought the a/c unit might short out and cause a fire. I went to the front desk the next morning after being sleep deprived and I advised a very nice rep about the situation- she gave us free breakfast vouchers and was very nice about the whole thing but no manager was in until 3 pm. I requested a new room. We wanted to go to Presque Isle for the day to bike but had to wait until the new room was ready to move ALL OF OUR BELONGINGS to the new floor. This wasn't done until 2pm so most of our day was just sitting and waiting. All in all, the 2nd half of our trip was just a mess and we left with a bad taste in our mouths from the whole experience. They did take the room off our bill for the night of the disaster but they absolutely need to keep up with their issues of maintaining their a/c units and the water issue or this is going to keep happening!

This Courtyard hotel was built in 2016, and it is located on the beautiful waterfront in Erie Bay. The Bayfront Convention Center is next door, and many restaurants are onsite or nearby. I made an online reservation for a junior suite with a bay view for two nights. The cost per night was a few hundred dollars. I paid for parking as part of the reservation, and it cost about $14 per night.Check-in at the front desk went smoothly. The employee spoke nicely to my husband and me. She gave us a room that is handicapped-accessible, although we are not handicapped. Our room was stylishly decorated, and it contained the usual amenities such as a television, mini refrigerator, table, chairs, and sofa. The room was quiet and mostly clean. In the bathroom, I noticed a loose floor tile, four large stains on the wallpaper, and a slow sink drain. For the bedroom, my husband commented that the mattress was not comfortable, although I did not mind it. The best part of the room was the window view of the bay. We did not use the fitness center or the swimming pool.

Every single person I encountered in teh hotefrl, om the Front Desk Manager, to the barista, to the management and restaurant/bar people, gave top notch friendly service. Kevin, from the front desk was particularly helpful when I checked in and it was clear that I made the reservation at the wrong hotel He was kind, helpful and so understanding. He found a room for me and gave me an AMAING view! I've stayed at hotels all over the world... who knew that I would find the BEST hotel service in Erie, Pennsylvania!

One of my favorite hotels to stay in whenever I'm in Erie. Located conveniently at the bay front, my room always has a beautiful view to the lake. I feel like I'm at the beach! As for the hotel itself, its very clean, nice and staff is very friendly and accommodating. Parking is connected to the hotel but is of charge. As for our room, our room was very spacious, large and clean. I've never had any issues here the multiple times I've stayed here. I've stayed at other hotels in Erie that are located on the bayfront and I must say that this is the best one I've stayed at. Highly recommend staying here for anyone visiting Erie for the first time! In addition, there are a lot of activities near the hotel you can indulge in if its your first time in Erie, especially during the summer. And they are all located within a walking distance to the hotel.

Mostly good but not sure if it would be my first choice. Clean yes, but; The fact that the bed had no mattress pad/cover really bothers me. Might as well skip the sheet too. Also, the description refers to a duvet, but it was a top sheet and cover. This is easier to make than change a duvet but since blankets don’t get changed, and sheets move during sleep, one often sleeps with the blanket and no sheet. For me those are the biggies. Restaurant has no vegetarian options and more bar food, and hip bar vibe. Pros Clean Waterfront Nice staff Updated design Cons No mattress pad ( gross!) Hairdryer weak No moisturizer, or little amenities.

A ? percent recommendation! Especially this time of year! We stayed in a Balcony King Suite. Balcony opens up to the Presque Isle Bay. We were part of the most Spectacular sunset ever! Large room, comfy bed, GREAT food, and nice service. There were no conventions booked, and being off-season, had the place to ourselves. Easy parking, Bayside walking, and lots of water fowl watching. Will definitely return!!

The room was very, very small and it was a "deluxe" room but there wasn't anything deluxe about it, the price vs size of room and accommodations were incredibly out of whack. I've stayed in hotels for $100 a night where the rooms were 3 times the size and fed you breakfast for it. The coffee packet was terrible and there were 3 coffees but only one single serve wrapper of sugar add ins. There were only 3 pillows per bed instead of 4 which was odd and not enough. No tissues in the room, it was all out. The swimming pool was like an oversized bathtub. It was a joke, every single guest walked up to it and stood in amazement and stated how they totally scammed everyone with the photos of the pool online vs what it actually looks like in person, honesty leaves people much less disappointed. There were SOOOOOOOOOOO many unsupervised children in the pool. I went with my 2 children and there was an entire hockey team of 10 year olds in it acting out of control and 2 parents who did nothing at all to tell them to behave, they just trampled my children. Then after they left, a very young woman came in with about 8 kids and they just ran around SCREAMING and jumping off of every surface high and low into the pool. That part was a nightmare and getting away to swim was the only reason we came along with my husband on this trip. The officer/guard who occasionally walked by was nice and friendly and we chatted, but he never went in to say anything- not sure that was even within his job description. However, the view from our room was beautiful. Parking was rough. Would I stay here again, maybe, probably not, the cost vs accommodations doesn't warrant it for the view, we like a pool, and this was again not much bigger than a hot tub.
