For how crowded the parking lot was, we were surprised when we were seated right away. There is ample seating and a large outdoor space. The indoor decor is also very cozy and well-curated. The draft list was also extensive and the selection was vast. The menu didn't make a lot of sense and it had many well-known classics that were changed in strange ways. The flatbreads are advertised as entrees but are appetizer-sized at best. The burger was large, which only highlighted how overcooked and under-seasoned it was. We also found several strands of cat hair on a sandwich and were flabbergasted to find a lack of french fries on the menu. We were also told by waitstaff that we could purchase a six-pack at the bottle shop and drink it in the dining room, but later found out (after purchasing) that we were unable to do that. We sincerely do not understand all of the high ratings.
Stopped in about 6:00 Thursday evening and got seated right away. Service was great and food good. Nice beer selection. Pricing reasonable. Parking was a little difficult. Had to park about 3 blocks away.
Outdoor seating was great, food and service were also great. Beer selection was good too. Would recommend for a family visiting wanting a pub like atmosphere.
Good food. Good service. Nice atmosphere.
Go to any other location. Great place but the manager here literally made a waitress ask to comp a meal from her own pay. Total joke Please email me [email protected]
Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Always a nice stop.
I came here after work with a few friends at the suggestion of a friend that went here earlier for a beer. It's definitely a nice, chill place to grab a beer and hang for a little bit. I ended up sitting at the bar with friends and we got some dip, pizzas, and beers! I'm not a huge beer drinker so I went with the cider they had available and it hit the spot. My friends got the pumpkin IPA and really enjoyed it as well. Pizza wise, I got the chicken cordon bleu pizza and shared that with a few others pizzas. I will say the chicken cordon bleu pizza was a winner and I'd order that again. Overall, I really like the place and it's not as loud as a typical bar which in the current pandemic makes complete sense. Despite that, they did a good job keeping the tables apart and not letting the inside get super crowded.
Good solid burgers and brews. Typical atmosphere for a tap house and music that brought me back to my college days!
Spent 12$ on a burger that was over cooked and not seasoned at all. Bland and tasteless. Some parts of the fries were burnt and some raw - and it was dead in there. My friend and I were the only customers. Terrible food for the price. Shows me whoever cooked doesn’t care.
Love it! Good drinks and friendly people.
The Tap House has been "my place" since I first moved to Erie back in 2012. Every Tuesday I would hang with friends here- and now, even with the pandemic- we still get curbside pickup with no problem. Their food is Ah-mazin'. Their beer selection is Love-ily. And their atmosphere is the reason I keep returning and deciding it as "my place". And even though it's totally my place, I'm ok sharing it with others ;) hence this review.
Great atmosphere, great staff, great food! Awesome selection of craft beer.
We really enjoyed our visit here. The staff was very nice and they have an interesting menu. The mucho nachos were very good. My had a bacon and grape flatbread (that's not a typo). She thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the Philly 'boli. That's a Philly cheesesteak in a stomboli. That was also very good. They also make a mean long island ice tea. We will definitely go there again.
