This review is based on my experience there tonight. February 17th. I have been going to this restaurant for two years. The service is generally wonderful. The food is great. The restaurant is beautiful and based on my prior experience I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. However, tonight was the first time I felt some level of prejudicial behavior. I got to the restaurant around 7:30pm. I sat at the bar. I waited for a while to be acknowledged. That was fine. It was a little busy. Eventually the heavier set male bartender approached me about my order. I asked him for a drink. I also asked him what the weekend specials were. The moment I said "specials" , he looked annoyed. He responded by telling me he's not sure what Im talking about as the restaurant does not have specials. This response was followed by him walking away from me, in a dismissive manner, and also telling the other bartender I was asking for specials and he let me know they didnt have any. This was odd to me because usually on the weekends they do have specials. Also that is the description of the menu. They're called "specials". The bartenders and servers, refer to that menu as "specials". This is the nomenclature they use. Keep in mind these are not cheaper meals. The Specials reflect something that they are specifically serving that weekend thats not on the. menu normally. Two minutes later, after dismissing my question, I see him walk over to another group of people sitting at the bar, and he clearly and loudly says "Hi. So let me tell you about our specials tonight". Naturally I was flabbergasted. When he came back to where I was seated, I asked him why he told me there were no specials, and what exactly did he think I meant when I asked him about Specials. He claimed, he was confused and not thinking.I also watched him offer everyone water.....except me. So I had to ask him if and when he had the time would he get me some water. He responded by saying "oh wow. Im just messing up tonight." To which I responded by saying. You seem to be messing up specifically with me for some reason. Now I'll admit I was dressed in a hoodie and a baseball cap. Im not sure if this impacted his service towards me, or if it was the most obvious difference between me and the rest of the patrons. You can guess what that was, if that is the case.I want to be clear. I, in no way, think this is the culture of the restaurant. Ive had great food and great service there in the past. This is possibly a reflection of that one bartender. This is the first time I ever felt uncomfortable in there.

We went here to try a new place. The restaurant is on a street with no parking. You have to find street parking which can be difficult at times. We went in, and since we had reservations, we were immediately taken upstairs. Our table was overlooking the bar, which was nice, although the table was small. We made do. Joel was a great server. He answered all of our questions and was very helpful with the menu. The food was delicious, although pricey for the portions. My husband ordered a pasta dish from the specials menu. Truffles are expensive, we know that. The pasta serving could have been more..... pasta is inexpensive, we also know that. For $56 the portion was tiny. I had a little taste. I was afraid the taste more for the fact that the portion was so tiny. Their iberico ham is what drew my husband to this restaurant. The tomato pie was amazing in taste, however, we thought the iberico could have been sliced thinner. Similar to shaved ham. The texture would have been a little better. The taste was amazing. We loved the veal and mortadella meatballs. I also loved the Ahi Tuna for dinner. Everything was so tasty. Just be ready for a hefty bill and not be full.

First one was great, this one was horrible.Food beyond overpriced for what u getting, Waitress was great and very knowledgeableWe got calamari which were served undercooked , had heads still attached and beaks were still in them. Lulia was excellent. Her recommendations were spot on. The wine pairing went well with each course. The appetizers were well constructed and the vinaigrette for the oysters was superb. The pork belly chop was well flavored. The tuna was perfectly seared. Compliments to the entire team. Atmosphere was cozy and easy to enjoy ourselves for our early 41st Anniversary. Most definitely will return. Thank you.

If I could give all the stars to staff I absolutely would. The food was incredible but the staff made our entire experience memorable. We ordered the penne and the lamb chops, and both were cooked perfectly. When the dessert we were hoping for wasn’t available, both the waitress and chef made sure to give us something special. If you’re looking for something new, or just a romantic spot to eat dinner with your partner, this is the perfect place.Lgbtq+ friendly, a wonderful experience.

We went there for my husband’s birthday dinner. Food was amazing, service was good too. We sat on the 2nd floor with a nice view of the Capitol.

The food and drinks are terrible and the atmosphere is good. Drinks: ordered few cocktail and each tasted like sour juice with added spices that would rather be used for food but not in drinks, moreover, while waitress advised on sweet drink it tasted like tomato source with added paprika. Food: meat tasted like it was soaked into vinegar and anything on the plate was simply sour. Looking at meat I could see that it was a good quality piece of meat before the chef cooked it. It was not salted or sweet but rather sour with spice only . The only thing that was good was a piece of bread with cream cheese and small pieces of truffles on the top which cost about $18. Tips are already included in the bill, so if food or service was not satisfactory you are still paying it, and percentage was not 15% but higher. We spent $250 and endded up going to another place enjoying steak and drink.

Me and my wife dine here recently. Before going somewhere, We looked for a nice place, and this one was great from pictures and reviews. The place is nice inside. We ordered 2 different cocktails, one appetizer, and 2 different stakes. Only the appetizer tasted okay.I didn't know cocktail could taste so bad, and food was horrible. We paid around 190$, and left hungry and disappointed.

Not sure what is going on at Rubicon's, but something has changed. I have been there twice in the last 6 months...good service, ok food and prices are getting ridiculous (not to mention the automatic 20% tip and 3% credit card included in the bill). Not sure I'll go back again....

The food and aesthetics were amazing. Our server Joel was very knowledgeable and helped make some great recommendations. My wife and I now have a new favorite restaurant in Harrisburg! Would highly recommend.
