“Really a unique experience. Food was amazing and fresh. Happy to see someone willing to take a risk with their food and not open a restaurant that's just like every other place in the area. There are plenty of pizza places around and they all serve the same restaurant depot food. Steel Penny is top notch!”
“Went there this past Sunday afternoon. First time, and I was pleasantly surprised. Everything tasted very authentic and delicious. The service was great and we had such a fun time talking to the staff. We went off the menu and made up our own meals to share with our table and they were up for it.”
“It's not a typical strip mall restaurant. We decided last minute to go here and were pleasantly surprised. Arrived just after opening and initially felt under dressed, but after the owner greeted us, we quickly forgot our discomfort as we took in the nicely decorated room and tables. The menu has plenty of options, including a list of specials plus a few items he mentioned that weren't listed but may have been because it was the Friday after Valentine's Day. We opted for the Veal Parm. My husband got the Clams Casino appetizer, which he said was the best he's ever had. The salad with house dressing was packed with veggies along with the lettuce, and the house dressing was definitely not from a bottle. My barley soup was flavorful as was everything we had. The large piece of veal was sliced thin, which may have made it not as tender as it could have been, but I still enjoyed it. I really enjoyed the seasoned mixed veggies I chose instead of the pasta. The tiramisu is a cake version but very good. That and the chocolate cake do have a liquor flavor added to them, which is strong but not overpowering to me, but may be for some. We will definitely return to try something new.”
“DELICIOUS food, ABUNDANT portions, and EXCELLENT service!! We went with a large group, which they accomodated with ease including splitting checks AND meals. Everyone enjoyed everything from the bread and olive oil, to the complimentary appetizer plate, to the FANTASTIC meals! My son got the ravioli, which was great, but there were only 5 or 6, not quite enough for a teenage boy! Luckily my SHARED eggplant parm (served to each of us separately) had MORE than enough spaghetti for him as well. It is BYOB, but they provided a wine opener and glasses, and truly the upside is you can save the restaurant mark-up and enjoy your favorite wine! It's definitely a place you might drive on past, nestled in a strip mall with the in and out market and pepperidge farm store, but appearaces are QUITE deceiving, and i think it's VERY safe to say try it... you'll like it!!”
“Gotta love it here the staff are amazing big shout out to Lynn the food is always on point and when they make a mistake they will always take care of you for it this is one business that I will always support they are all great !!!!!”
“Happened to hear some good things about this place so I had to check it out. The pulled pork sandwich was delicious and you can't beat $5.95 for it! Great spot to eat on a budget. Portions were generous. Was hard to decide what to order since they have a lot to offer and some interesting specials as well. Will be back to try something new!UPDATE: If you get the BBQ pulled pork or French Dip sandwich and have to travel more than 5 minutes, it may be beneficial to mention it so they can prepare accordingly. We didn't do this and the bread ended up very soggy & fell apart. Delicious sandwiches though and we will be back! :)”
“First time here. Saturday afternoon before St. Patrick's day. Good beer and drink specials. Food was really good had wings and burgers. Everyone was friendly and service was excellent. Looks like a good place to watch sports. Will definitely be ”
“Legitimately delicious! Authentic flavor and very fresh preparation made us very very happy. The complimentary chips and salsa was delicious, the chips were freshly cooked. The birria and the enchiladas were awesome and the empanadas are top notch.”
“Had the pleasure of meeting the locals and Maria & Dennis (bartenders).. we felt so welcomed and had such a great time we have traveled from Maryland to visit Richies multiple times..love it there!”
“Stopped for some breakfast after deciding where to try, food was ok, service was a little off...did not give us silverware till we asked when our food was on the table, was a bit annoyed waiting for the check after I asked, others asked and received there's before ours...tries it, but not sure if we go back.”
“One of the best takeout places in Hatboro. They are known for their great bread / rolls and now one of the best pizzas in town. Their jumbo wings are also great. I think they finish them in the oven so they are crispy and meaty with a good sauce.”
“Ice cold beer on ice lots of great food to choose from from appetizers, sandwiches, and dinner items with 45 years in cooking I’m back again at richies to bring you the best…Parking: Plenty of parking”
“the food from la morena is the definition of delicious. horchata is to die for, and the authentic Mexican candies/treats in front of the register are worth a try. everything is affordable, and really fast service (:”
“The absolute best local spot. The owner Ryan loves what he does and often enjoys his own spot. Which is so nice to see. The bar tenders are very helpful and hilarious. The drinks are always fun. They have bands, food trucks, trivia night, etc. etc. That front parking lot durning good weather being backed with families and friends hanging out brings life to York Rd and Hatboro!”
“Great food and service was excellent. Truly a family-owned business that goes above and beyond to make sure your experience is over the moon. I will definitely return for another meal.”
