I recently visited Pappy Family Restaurant while working in Johnstown, drawn in by its local charm and bustling atmosphere. I had a garden salad and a small Italian stromboli. The salad was fresh and I was only able to eat half of the stromboli. Took the other half in a doggie bag for my dinner. The 4 star rating for the atmosphere was because some people might find the rustic family Pizza place feeling not to their liking. I found everything was very well done and pleasant.

It's been quite a few years since we've been to Pappy's so wasn't sure what to expect this visit. The food was delicious and actually very very cheap (less than $40 for 2 adults and 1 kid for 3 full meals with sides and drinks) and the portions are way more than anyone could possibly eat alone. 2 of us got the chicken parm and the other got chick alfredo and all 3 of us had enough left over to have a second full meal each.
