“A vineyard right over the Maryland and Delaware border that was able to accommodate a same day two person reservation to enjoy a flight of red wines and their rose. Looks like the tasting building had a bigger area in the back for bigger gatherings while the front section had smaller tables for parties of two or three. The women were friendly and greeted us with a brief overview of the grapes grown all on the property. The wine was delicious, offering a couple glasses of dry wines. The winner of the day was bottle of rose my friend grabbed to enjoy and take some home. Will be excited to see what the year will be for the grapes and the wine they provide us.”
“Their Sicilian Margarita Pie is outstanding BUT ... It is very salty as is the food I've ordered despite asking for "no salt added" and you have to love garlic. I think cutting back on the salt would give this place 5 ⭐”
“Paradocx is a great local winery and has a lot of really fun events. My husband and I really enjoy the wine, especially the whites. We did the Wine Club membership last year but found it too expensive. The food never disappoints. Sometimes the staff’s friendliness can be hit or miss (especially if you sit at the bar). The gnats are definitely out of control in the fall months, but the outside patio is simply amazing. Also, who doesn’t love live music every Friday!”
“They took out food order 30 minutes before closing and it was a $300. Order. They were even ok with waiting for me to arrive knowing it would after they closed. They were polite, food was great!”
“Sovana Bistro is a great venue for a small party. I was there years ago for a bridal shower and recently for a baby shower. The private room we were in was comfortable and bright even on a rainy day. Guests were seated at long tables, and food was on a buffet table.”
“Portions are small but you aren't going there for a buffet. We had scallops, octopus, sablefish and a burger. The evening ended with an amazing chocolate dessert. When I say amazing. It is just that. Spoil yourself.”
“Went in to eat for the time after reviewing new Japanese options online. It was a great environment. I ordered a monster roll, a sweet pork skewer and a taro bubble tea. All were delicious. We'll definitely go back.”
“A unique venue for you and 10 closest friends. The reservation wait time is famously long - ours was nearly one year - but the food and service is a rare experience worth the wait. Ask for the recommended wine pairings and purchase those to bring along; they put much thought into the pairings.”
“Malin's is always a treat! We got a cheesesteak, an Italian sub, and a cheeseburger. The cheesesteak was amazing as usual. The sub was the best Italian sub I've had in a very long time - fresh ingredients, crispy lettuce, the right amount of seasonings! The cheeseburger left a little to be desired. It wasn't terrible, it just wasn't up to par with the rest of the food. The staff is always pleasant, whether on the phone or in the store. Overall, this is one of the best deli/sub shops arounds.Parking: Parking lot can be a tight squeeze to get in and out of. I'd suggest parking in the side lot. It's much easier to navigate.”
“Amazing local gem of a Cubano restaurant with relaxing Cafe interior and super friendly staff. Definitely a family run place and they treat you well. Check out the arepas and mushroom soup”
“Today I ordered the smoke chicken with the cornbread and fries. I did the collard greens last time. Couldn't pass up the cornbread. The order was ready when I arrived. The staff was very pleasant and I will return the next time I'm in the area.”
“I enjoyed the café experience. The food, service, and atmosphere of Longwood made the entire night perfect. I highly recommend this spot if you're looking to have a quick bite to eat while taking in the views of Longwood.”
“First time visit, all the food that came out the kitchen looked so good! We ordered the calabrian sandwich, flat bread and trio dip. And it was all so amazing. The server was incredibly attentive and so kind!”
“The staff made me feel welcome and noticed at the breakfast bar area. Devin helped me order exactly what I wanted because I didn't see the combo I was hoping for on the menu. He kept my coffee topped off and let me enjoy my meal in peace. The cooks knocked it out of the park with my meal as well. Always a good experience at this Metro!”
“What a great experience! Stopped by for take out and was immediately greeted & offered suggestions from the menu. I decided to try Tonkotsu & Karaage chicken. When I got back to the office I was impressed with the packaging. Secure (broth you know!) and my ramen items were packed separately from the broth. Very nice - nothing was "water logged" from swimming in the broth on the drive back.Ramen was very tasty & I enjoyed the large portion and crunch of the Karaage chicken. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back to try more!”
“I’m an expat from England who grew up with an Indian takeaway within walking distance wherever I lived. This does not make me an expert but I’m so delighted that Kabab & Curry are pretty much on my doorstep. This food is amazing. I literally took a break from mouthfuls of chicken kadai and samosas to write this review. Spot on. Fantastic grub.”
“I was visiting from out of town and was looking forward to some good pizza. I wasn't disappointed! The mushrooms were particularly good, but this area is the mushroom capital of the world, so that makes sense. The guy running the place was friendly and funny. Thank you!”
“The restaurant is a quaint cafe hidden between a few shops. It has amazing food that really surprised me on how well the quality was. Their dine in options have booths, tables, or window seating and their takeout offered prepared foods such as spanikopita and small cakes. They offer a complete menu and waiting services. I recommend the souvlaki platter with cucumbers on the side to dip into the tzatziki that comes with the platter. My only small complaint is the choice of modern american pop music instead of Greek music to match the atmosphere. Other than that, the place is perfect for small dates or a pit stop while walking around town, or even settling down for a full dinner.”
“Phenomenal food made by great people. The ingredients in my burger were fresh too. Also one of the few spots that still have curly fries. Best burger I've had in a while and will definitely be back.”
“The chocolate thunder is a must-try. The staff were so sweet and polite, helped me to a couple of samples to help make my mind. Family vibes but professional, and you know where you're getting your product from, courtesy the farm nearby.”
“Great customer service. I was greeted with a warm welcome an hour before close, food was great, relaxing atmosphere. My server was an absolute sweetheart and helpful with the menu (I’m new to the cuisine). I even grabbed an entree to go for tomorrow’s meal. I shall return!”
“Can't overstate much we loved dining here. The food was exceptional - creative, fresh and delicious. The owners are so kind and involved and clearly put their heart into all they do. Every bite was fantastic but we especially loved the lamb - menu is seasonal, local and meticulously prepared. Highly highly recommend and we hope to return very soon.”
“The chicken is delicious. Like really good. I also had the corn and that was excellent. The basmati rice was cooked perfectly. The tractor soda isn't bad at all either. I'll definitely be back!”
“Been driving by this place for awhile. Decided one day to stop. Now my husband and I have been going there from now on. They make sure your very full. And the prices are amazing. We found a bed hang ”
“Fantastic ice cream and in both the standard flavors but also in some that push you out of your ice cream comfort zone including corn. And you gotta live an ice cream place with a chili powder shaker! We have been here several times and the staff is very nice and the ice cream is amazing! This is a cute local establishment that is a short walk away from the restaurants on Main Street! Highly recommend to anyone!”
“This was my first time, and it was a great experience. My steak was cooked to perfection! We definitely picked the right time to show up. It was fairly quiet, and the server was great!!”
“Great coffee with an awesome atmosphere! Staff are always super nice and quite possibly the best coffee in Delaware.Parking: Paid parking lot right across the street. Very limited free parking behind the store.”
“Perfect place to pop into in the middle of a food desert for a burger or quick pizza. They do have a gluten free pizza.Dietary restrictions: They had a very acceptable gluten-free pizza.”
“A solid ramen spot has been one of the most surprising finds in Newark. Ramen Kumamoto offers a slurp-tastic oasis for noodle enthusiasts and broth aficionados alike. With its good service and cozy dining space, this ramen shop proves that great things sometimes appear in the most unlikely of places.Kicking off our culinary escapade, the Charshu Onigiri and Pork Bun set the stage. The onigiri, a triangle of joy stuffed with charshu, was a hands-on delight, while the pork bun was a pillowy cloud of happiness, complemented by a kick of spicy mayo that whispered sweet nothings to our taste buds.Diving into the heart of the menu, the Miso Ramen was a bowl of soul-warming comfort. The broth, a harmonious marriage of pork and chicken, embraced the miso paste like long-lost lovers reunited. Swimming within this savory sea were wavy egg noodles, well-cooked charshu, kikurage, menma, bean sprouts, scallions, sesame seeds, and a seasoned egg that was like the sun on a cloudy day. Each spoonful was a testament to the art of ramen-making, proving that when it comes to broth, Ramen Kumamoto doesn't just play in the kiddie pool--they're diving deep. Then there was the Mayu Ramen, a darker, moodier cousin with its natural heritage Berkshire pork bone broth, seductively swirled with mayu--a dark roasted leek with garlic oil and a depth of flavor that added a mysterious allure to each bite. The thin straight noodles were the perfect vessel for this rich, complex broth accompanied by charshu, red ginger, kikurage, menma, bean sprouts, scallions, and a seasoned egg that completed the ensemble. It was a bowl that not only satisfied hunger but sparked curiosity, each ingredient whispering secrets of flavor waiting to be discovered. While the compact dining room of Ramen Kumamoto might suggest a limited experience, the reality couldn't be further from the truth. This ramen shop serves up bowls brimming with soul, flavor, and a touch of whimsy, making it a must-visit for anyone that finds themselves in the area for any reason at all.In the culinary narrative of Delaware, Ramen Kumamoto stands as a chapter not to be missed. It's a place where the broth flows rich and deep, and every noodle tells a story. So, if your journey finds you craving warmth, comfort, and a little noodle nirvana, make your way to Ramen Kumamoto. It's a slurp-worthy saga you'll want to experience over and over again.”
“This is a great "mom and pop" type of restaurant. It's a small place but has lots of heart and friendly faces. Great food. I want to say their specialty is Mexican dishes. However, they have a very decent sized menu, which offers a variety of dishes that are American cuisine as well.Parking: It is located in a small shopping mall with a gas station and a few other stores. There are at least 50 parking spots nearby and there is at least 1 handicap parking spaceKid-friendliness: It's a family style restaurant”
