The family decided to finally try Under the Pier for takeout. I can say I enjoyed my English Style Fish n Chips. The fish was fresh and the breading was perfect. I do wish the chips were cripsy and salted. They were plain and had zero flavor without salt and ketchup. The fried scallops were over cooked unfortunately. A classic dock-side, seafood shop. While not actually "under a pier" and not really all that close to the sea, this unassuming, under-the-radar joint has some of the best seafood around. We had Softshell crab ? (fried), lobster tails , fried breaded butterflied shrimp ?, hush puppies ? , and the deep-fried-battered broccoli ? bites (gotta get the veggies ? ).
