“We were a party of 5, there to celebrate my boyfriend and his sister's birthdays. We sat in the bar area, which meant the bartender served us. I wish I remembered his name, because he was amazing!! He provided such a wonderful service. He explained the dinner and drink specials, and everything came out hot and delicious. We never had to ask for anything. This is always the restaurant my boyfriend and his family like to go to, and it was my 3rd time there... definitely not my last!!My boyfriend ordered the steak and said it's the best he's had in a long time. Their breadsticks and salad with the house dressing can't be beat. Highly recommend!!”
“Our first visit - Loved this place! Ate at the bar-food was delicious! Very casual place. Nick, the bartender, was super friendly and efficient! We were even introduced to the owner (friendly & thanked us for stopping there). Several tvs to watch a game. Will definitely return and highly recommend!”
“My dad would surprise us and bring Gus's along when he would visit me!My cousin Gayle is married to the owner of this it, who's father owned it before him!Locally owned & operated! It's pretty much the same exact way it was from the beginning! U can order by the pie or square cuts!We usually get a "Half Sheet" which is 14 cuts!!Help Support our local businesses!Ur kids will thank you for it!”
“I've been here 3 times now and this is the best barbecue I have had in Pennsylvania. It's good and I'm from Alabama and I know good barbecue. The French fries are good. So is the cole slaw though just a little too creamy. The service is friendly and quick. It's a simple place just like a good barbecue place should be.”
“Wasnt aware that it was delivery through door dash so when we called the number on google i thought it was just through the resturant xD. A little miscomunication but Exited for ”
“Friendly service and atmosphere. Food was great and reasonably priced! ? I look forward to going again.Parking: Great drive in area & easy access to the building.”
“This was a nice, quaint restaurant. They serve breakfast all day. They also have a breakfast buffet on Saturdays and Sundays. Next time I will try the buffet, this time I got the bacon cheeseburger with fresh cut fries and mozzarella sticks. The service was fast and friendly. The prices were reasonably priced.”
“I went here on a recommendation from a friend with local family. We went there for lunch on a Sunday and got seated right away. It took quite a few minutes before we had a server come over. And having our food come out was equally slow. That being said the food was worth the wait. I had the pizza and my wife had a stromboli. It was delicious and i paired it up with a rootbeer which was equally great. The staff was friendly despite the slow service and was quite pleased we stopped in.”
“Their Cheese Burger Sub with bacon lettuce tomato and mayo was off the hook.... Unbelievable. And the young man doing deliveries was very helpful. I have a 2nd floor apt and just had major surgery and he dashed up those steps like Carl Lewis. Ive also dined inside their restaurant and it's always been great ?. Thank You ?”
“I crave their famous hot dogs with everything and a bowl of rice pudding with milk and plenty of cinnamon sugar. We have been coming here as a family for decades, and while the food is always on par, the waitstaff is not usually. If you are looking for a friendly and upbeat place to grab a quick lunch, this is not your establishment. If you want some great hotdogs that ate always the same- this IS your place.Pro tip: their French fries and gravy pair perfectly with hot dogs and rice pudding. They have a full menu with plenty of options, but I literally never look at a menu.if you aren't the hotdogs type, you still have more to choose from; salads, burgers, sandwiches, sides, and meals are plentiful. When I travel into town and it is lunch time- this is usually my first choice.”
“Good Asian food for the area (central PA is a bit weak for Aaian food in my opinion). Selection of Chinese food, sushi, a handful of American foods, big dessert selection. Often quite busy on Sundays (after-church crowd). Generally customers are seated in 15 minutes.”
“Had 2 slices and a Pepsi, excellent pizza! Very friendly staff and everything else I saw and smelt looked and smelled great too! If you like thin NJ/NY style pizza, this is pretty close!”
“This is the original road side diner. The food is amazing and the floors are clean. The staff was extremely friendly. The prices are spot on. You can't go wrong here.”
“Shy Bear Brewing is a hidden gem! The food, drinks, and staff was incredible! We were traveling with four dogs and they were incredibly accommodating to making sure our more shy dog had space and was comfortable! We had the soft pretzel, fish and chips, & pork belly tacos, everything was AMAZING! Next time we are in town we will make sure to stop by! Thank you for a lovely experience!”
