“I come here almost every Thursday night! I love their cream chipped beef! The best I ever had! All their food is fantastic though! Its all homemade! Great breakfast!!! It's a must especially on the latest night you have! They are open 24 hours! Love them! Worth the trip from harrisburg. Waffle house is way too packed at 2 am. Go here!!“
“My family and friends go to the Metro Diner about once a week. The food is excellent! In fact my granddaughters say the food is “more than excellent!”. We always have Candy as our server. She is awesome! She is on top of everything and is so nice!Kid-friendliness: There are menus with crayons and lots of activities!“
“Popular place on Carlisle Pike serving breakfast, lunch & dinner. Have been there for breakfast and lunch a few times and the food is good at a reasonable price. It's our favorite diner behind CC's Kitchen in downtown Mechanicsburg.“
“Breakfast was excellent went on Veterans Day was packed and they did extremely excellent job just had to have patients because they were a little short-handed and they only had two chefs working one there was 62 one with 51 and they did a good job food was excellent service was excellent could not have asked for better ask to enjoy my veterans breakfast dinner there my breakfast day there Thank you to the whole employee and all of Denny's my family and I enjoyed ourselves“
“Ordered pot roast and got big slabs of beef and it wasn't done cooking couldn't cut it with a sharp knife let alone chew it. Waitress say what was happening and gave me a free meal. Wife got scalloped potatoes and ham and it wasn't any better. Potatoes overcooked and dried out.“
“Definitely a little hole in the wall. But a perfect breakfast! I had Eggs Benedict with home fries potatoes. Wife had eggs over medium, home fries, and a strawberry pancake. We split an order of bacon. It's been hard finding a place that knows how to make breakfast. But we're very happy.“
“THIS is a diner! As such you will not receive gourmet plates. However you will receive decent food at an incredible price. Burgers, breakfast, specials, desserts... All good (and possibly covered in copious amounts of gravy). You can't go wrong here. Even if it were possible, you'd be out less than $10. What's not to like?EDIT for 2023 - prices have, of course, edged up a bit, but this place is still a bargain and still worth stopping by.“
“I appreciate this place. The food was lovely, the waitress we had was kind and considerate and handled everything wonderfully. I asked for no chicken with my Alfredo, and they were super good to me about it. Lovely meal! The atmosphere is family-friendly, clean, and positive. 100% Recommend.“
“Seated as soon as we walked in even though the parking lot was full and so were most of the tables. Waited on immediately and received very good service throughout. Food was brought out amazingly fast just as we ordered and our drinks and whatever other needs were attended to quickly.“
“I used to go here all the time back in the early 90's. I had not been here since 95. Oh my it's still best food prices and portions in the Burg! Definitely a locals spot and anyone who works in the downtown capital area. Stop in look at this $9 meatloaf with double mash. ???“
“Great food, price, and quantity! All the food is excellent with a Greek flare. In house, salad/soup bar is always fresh and filling. I get a lot of carryout and am always happy. The deserts are awesome -spoil yourself.Try the Eggs Benedict Florentine (spanakopita like spinach) in hollandaise ($3 extra sauce), and all of the menu is yummy. Best kept secret for us locals. Good anytime. Hope you enjoy.“
“I had lunch with my sister at the Lemoyne diner. It was a last minute decision to stop there. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly although the room was in much need of an update! Our lunch was prompt and looked very appetizing. I had a grilled bacon and cheese sandwich with sweet potato fries. The sandwich had 5 slices of delicious bacon and 3kinds of cheeses. It was the best grilled bacon and cheese sandwich that I ever had. Super delicious!! The fries were hot and tasty. My sister and I will definitely go back again.“
“We ate there last night after the All American Sports Show in Harrisburg. The food was awesome. The portions were awesome. They have a big menu. We were looking for seafood. Many seafood items. My friend had broiled scallops. I had broiled seafood platter. Everything was excellent. Prices very reasonable. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area.“
“Great breakfast spot. A wonderful waitress. I regret I didn't get her name but she was friendly, efficient and accurate (dark hair, dare I say middle-aged?). Perfect! The Blueberry Baked Oatmeal was a new experience for me (recommended by A#1 server). It was wonderful, satisfying and filled me with a sense of comfort. How do they do that? It must be made with love.Looking forward to another meal there. I'll be back.“
“you get great family like service from the owners to the staff. the food is excellent from the fresh bread on the cheeseburger sub to the steaks. the home made soups are to die for. when i get off work as a cook i am not usually hungry but when i decide to eat there my stomach is rumbling knowing how great the food is.“
“Had a long day of driving, then I got hungry and decided to eat at Denny’s!? It was a great choice and I was met at the door by a wonderful waitress named Alexandria! She was great, got my order right and attended to me with all my requests! Thanks Alexandria,I’ll be back!“
“A nice place and the food is always good a little pricey but good portion size. A little disappointed with the service the lady that served my table seemed bothered and uninterested at one point she was complaining about a tip or customer. Word to the wise somethings are better left unsaid in public.“
“Checked this diner while over in the Mechanicsburg area this morning. The outside of the diner is fairly nondescript, but the interior is a '50s themed diner including counter service. These server was very timely and provide a good attention. The food was fair but not spectacular. It was reasonably well prepared, but overall a bit bland. This was just my first time at the diner, so it may have just been an off day or an unwise breakfast choice on my part. One thing I would suggest is if you don't want your toast smoothered in butter you may might want to request it dry with butter on the side.“
