“This is my favorite place for tea in Pittsburgh! It’s not only a fun little shop with delicious tea curated by the owner, but has delightful surprises in the form of locally handmade gifts to fit any person and budget. The vegan pastries (in spite of my not being vegan) are incredible, too! Try some specialty drinks, herbal cold brew (tastes just like coffee!), or a hot cup of any of the hundreds of tea/herbal choices. If you drop in, save time for a walkabout in quirky, fun little Millvale or a relaxing chat on the inviting rainbow patio out back.”

“It was cool to see this place transform from Howard's Pub to Harold's Haunt. The small little changes are great and made the space feel very inclusive. They have a small beer selection with some good choices. There are also rotating cocktail and mocktail menus. There's an outdoor patio in the back that's nice. The food menu is on the smaller side but had some nice choices; the five dollar grill cheese got the job done when we needed to refuel. Good spot to stop at before or after a show at Mr.Smalls.”

“Beyond being some of the (if not the sole) best Italian food I have ever had, what stands out most about Dish Osteria is their commitment to true hospitality; we arrived early to have drinks at the bar, and from the start we were treated with care and true personal interest. The bartender was so insightful and walked us through the menu, answering any questions we might have so that we could order our dinner with ease (it was last Wednesday at 8PM— I forget his name, but please give him his flowers. He was amazing!). I had the Little Bird bourbon cocktail and absolutely loved it. This level of care continued as we moved to our table for dinner. Our waiter and host went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our meal, refreshing our bread without us having to ask (that homemade focaccia was dangerous— we couldn’t stop eating it!), suggesting wine pairings, and also allowing us to taste two options when we couldn’t choose. Every single dish we ordered was phenomenally crafted and delicious ; we ordered the Gamberi shrimp and grilled artichoke salad to start, followed by the short rib ragu gnocchi and rigatoni with smoked scamorza for our entrees (I will dream about both of these dishes for some time). For dessert, we had the lemon cello cheesecake, which was perfectly balanced with sweet and tangy flavors. Our waiter also provided us with a complimentary glass of moscato with our dessert. This was a phenomenal first experience at this restaurant and I cannot wait to come back. I’m also gifting a visit here to some of my friends for their anniversary and can’t wait for them to try it as well!”

“I kept reading reviews that this is the best Indian food in Pittsburgh, and I was not let down. My wife and I visited yesterday, as I was watching Red Dwarf and started craving chicken vindaloo. The staff was very kind, and the food was just excellent. The spices were perfect, just right. We got the B2B chicken as an appetizer and it was amazing: perfectly crispy with a tasty breading, and the sauce was so good I licked the ramekin clean. I'll definitely be back.”

“This place is AMAZING! My mom and I are in town for a college tour, and many people were walking around with the ice cream so I suggested we give it a try. Immediately the two guys in there were delightful and very helpful and cheery. The atmosphere was so fun the moment we walked in. The flavors were amazing and I almost couldn’t choose between the Thin Mint and the Pittsburgh Pride. I ended up going with the latter. It is like brownie/oreo/cookie chunks and butterscotch. There might be another thing added. My mom got the pear flavor. We are both extremely satisfied with our choices. They did say that the flavors change up pretty often - for example, they’re getting ready for Blackberry Lemonade. But Pittsburgh Pride will always be available. So if you’re looking for a cute little dessert place after dinner, this is the place!”

“I searched Google looking for doubles, the same ones I get in Brooklyn and came across this Gem! I went in today hoping to fulfill my craving for doubles but unfortunately they’re only sold on the weekends. My second choice were oyster wangz but there wasn’t any today. End up ordering the bowl (with coconut rice stewed soya, okra and chickpeas) fried oyster mushroom sandwich, sorrel wine, tamarind ginger drink and a vegan chocolate chip cookie! My total was $41 which I felt was a great price! I was displeased with the sandwich bc it was overcooked and the small amount of sorrel wine. The taste eas not that great for me but it may be for someone else. The tamarind ginger drink vegan cookie and stewed soya was so so delicious!! I will come back to try the doubles and roti! I appreciated the cleanliness of the small restaurant and the presentation of the food!”

It’s absolutely delicious and if you like chicken, you should give it a shot. Their Grapow Kai Krop is also one of my favorite. I have tried grapow in other Thai restaurants but senyais just taste better. This time I tried their red curry with tofu. The tofu was so soft and delicious. The curry was okay. They also have the patio open which makes senyai one of the few places in Pittsburgh to allow outdoor seating even in winter. Overall, the place is cute.
