“Large and varied menu. Good soups, salads, and sandwiches as well as breakfast items and Italian entrees. Good value and large portions. Pete himself is often present and cooking.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible via a ramp off of Fairmount.“
“What can I say that hasn’t already been said in these reviews? Here’s a hint: NOTHING. Believe the hype, Bob's Diner is the real deal. Just get there early if you want a parking spot out front lol. Street parking is available but I planned my arrival accordingly! Recommended 10/10!“
“One of my absolute favorite restaurants!! The food is just perfect. It’s delicious, home-made, scrumptious, and some of the most delicious dishes I have ever had. The workers are amazing as well, and I cannot thank them enough for their generosity. I would recommend everyone to try this place.“
“I love this place. I brunch here often and get the crab cake benedict. Today I had a slice of fresh baked apple pie that was just delicious. The service is always friendly and the food is consistent good. You must try the cream of chicken soup.“
“I'm a Philly native, and every time I come home, I stop by the Penrose Diner for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The food is amazing, the service is prompt, and the atmosphere is family friendly. They have the best coffee any time of day.“
“Have been looking for a good diner for a while and I am so glad we came across this one. Who is believe is the owner if not the manager personally made my root beer float my first time there and it brought up memories of my grandmother . The quality of the food has been by far the best from all the diners we have tried. We have only been twice and one was during a big rush and the quality did not change. Definitely our go to diner from now on, a must try!!“
“Was there for an event, so I was lmited to two meal options. The chicken ceasar salad was lovely, tho. Beautiful decor, clean, many menu options to choose from. We'll come back for that. Friendly staff. Free parking but limited as they were really busy. This first visit left a lasting impression. We'll review again when we get the full experience. We'll definitely be back.Kid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“For us, this is the “Year of the Diner” and the Mayfair did not disappoint. It is a large diner with the usual diner fare. Our waitress was great! Friendly and accommodating to our requests. The food was good, served quickly. The shredded potatoes with crunchy edges were a surprise. The diner is accessible, with wide isles, plenty of open tables and roomy booths. The staff sang happy birthday to a 5 year old behind us. Very sweet. Lots of families. The spaces in the parking lot are on the small side, so cars are very close to each other, making it difficult to get in/out of the car doors. There is also street parking right in front of the diner.“
“This place is a diner-lover’s diner. A basic menu but done very well. My hero (I can’t bring myself to say hoagie) was excellent and my wife raved about her burger and we were all wowed by our son’s grilled cheese. Again, nothing fancy but cooked to perfection. Bravo to the cook.“
“Kitty's is an awesome local breakfast spot. I ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches and scrapple on the side. The food is homey, delicious, and reasonably priced. Note that Kitty's is cash only. My only complaint (-1 star) is the overuse of styrofoam which is much worse than plastic.“
“Every time I come here the staff are always nice and attentive. When it comes to the food, they have the best tasting breakfast menu in the area. I love pancakes and most places make them so thick that they soak up all the syrup, not this restaurant! This local eatery’s pancakes never disappoint so don’t hesitate to order a stack. When you visit this place you will get good food, great service and a warm welcome.“
“City Line Diner exceeded my expectations in every way. From the warm and inviting atmosphere to the exceptional service, every aspect of my dining experience was top-notch. The menu offered a delightful array of options, and the food was delicious. The staff was friendly, attentive, and ensured that every need was met. I highly recommend City Line Diner for anyone seeking a fantastic diner.“
“I’ve been going there for the past three years the food there and the breakfast is delicious. The people are real friendly. It’s a good place to go to with the family. I definitely recommend it to other people.Kid-friendliness: They interact with the kids speak very nice. Specially the gentleman that works here the tall guy. I forgot his name but he’s still unblock. Very nice guy.“
“Love this place I go all the times it's by my job. The people have made welcome since the first time I went and now they actually know my name that's important to me cause now a days u go somewhere and the people seem mad u there.lol I would suggest this place to everyone.“
“The Mediterranean flounder was excellent and enough for 2, maybe even 3. The atmosphere is nothing special, but not loud. The place is clean and the staff is friendly and patient. I was in a large group, around 8 people, and we were able to get separate checks. Our waitress was a rock star. This was my 2nd time there, and I was very pleased. I will come back.“
“Champs is always a good stop for any good breakfast/lunch options. I've gotten their philly steak Dankwich, which at first didn't really love love, but the last times it's been amazing! Can specifically say their red velvet pancakes are the perfect sweet treat. Amazing customer service, you can tell people love this place and what they do (I wish I caught the guy's name, but he's always super helpful with any delivery orders and is absolutely hilarious!). It's not an eat-in restaurant, and the waiting area is pretty small but luckily you won't be there for very long because everything is pretty quick. Cecil B Moore is lucky to have Champs!“
“Please stop putting cold items directly on hot items. For example.. cold coleslaw on hot French fries inside the takeout box. I don't think anyone wants hot coleslaw. Also, cold pickle on hot fries.. it makes them wet and soggy, and makes the pickle warm.I recommend wrapping cold items separately, or in tinfoil.“
“Super great staff! Came in here 2 days in a row with my team, we are on a spring break trip in Philly. We came in they treated us with respect and patience despite there being 12 of us. The second day we came back they already had our table ready, and were very poignant with our food. Highly recommend this place for great breakfast food!“
“This place was absolutely fantastico! the asian lady was bellisimo and the french toast was mouth watering. It made me have wet dreams!!!! The food is amazing, and the mood and spirit is just out of this galaxy!!! I would rate 6 stars but not possible. Tip the asian $500! Ciao “
“Was in the area getting some work done on the car and decided to try this spot. Food and service were pretty good. Went with the hungry man meal which was the right choice for a filling meal. Typical diner eggs with a very tasty and crunchy home fries. The bacon was good and the sausage was juicy and tender. Can never go wrong with a nicely cooked breakfast sausage. The pancakes were a little dense but it was a nice finish to the meal. Will definitely be coming back.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp with enough space for wheelchair users to get around inside.“
“It's a diner, so that's how I'm rating the food and atmosphere. Both are great, but obviously this isn't about being fancy.I expect diner food to be somewhere between passable and good; putting it was really good and there was plenty to eat. I hate till I was stuffed and my friend took food home.I'm vegetarian/vegan , so I had the tofu scramble. This was definitely solid. There was lots of tofu so I got my protein for the morning and a good variety of vegetables; I appreciate it tofu scramble that has some greens in it like spinach. I had Fried potatoes so that I would be able to try the house-made ketchup and it was excellent. I wish more restaurants would do this. It makes eating at different places so much more interesting. If you're down for diner eating, this is definitely one of the best if not the best place to go in Philly.Vegetarian options: Sure, it's a diner. If you want eggs or tofu, you're in luck. If your vegan, it's much more restricted.“
