Great bar with a hidden secret: their burger. It is simply one of the best burgers I've had, bar food or otherwise, and everyone I've brought here says the same. A nice thick, juicy, and flavorful burger. Their fries are great too. Pair those with a tall glass of beer from their nice wide range of crafty options... always a great time! Low prices all around, too. Nice atmosphere: dark, and the music is always some LP played live through a turntable at the front. One of the best!
I've always hailed this place as the "best bar in Philly" and I think the statement holds up. Fountain Porter is the most ideal place to get a drink with friends after a long week. The bartenders are friendly and make delicious ice cold drinks. The burgers are delicious and seasoned perfectly. It's impossible to have a bad time here.

Great spot for a cheap burger that is good quality. A bit under-seasoned but you get salt pepper to add. Very reminiscent of home style / back yard barbecue burgers. Hard to not have some bias for how affordable it is at 6 bucks but I don’t think it’s a burger that trumps other bar burgers flavor wise. Fries are good especially soaked in malt vinegar.
