Anytime I am near Scranton, PA., I absolutely must have the Texas wieners at Coney Island. It's a great local tradition as well as their full menu. I'm from West and South Scranton as a child.I visited this past week and made sure to stop for a 3-Texas wiener, fries, and iced tea lunch. I was certainly not disappointed. I've been eating here since I was a child. I'm now 63 yrs old and still they have the same great tasting recipe they had 50 years ago. The only thing thar has changed is the prices increased, but hey thats to be expected overL the years! The prices are still lower than McDonald's and Burger King as far as I'm concerned. And the food is way better!Kid-friendliness: There's not much for parking but if you can get around that it's surely worth it.

I used to go to Coney Island frequently until I moved out of state. I brought my family there to eat a while back, and we were not disappointed. The Texas wieners were as good as ever! Their sauce is the greatest thing ever cooked on a stove. I have lived in Texas for the past 25 years, and I haven't found a restaurant that even comes close to Coney Island wieners. They are a Scranton institution that you must visit! Go! Right now!!
