The breads are not heavy and they do not have all the filler that grocery stores have. The breads are all light and flakey. The asiago bagels are amazing!!! The smash burgers are the best around. Family atmosphere. Everyone is so polite, personable, and friendly. I go at least once a week. Amazing breakfast and lunch spot. Casual meetings or friends meeting, the perfect place.”

“As fairly new residents of Johnstown, we found out about Scott's by Dam through co-workers who raved about the food. They were right. Everything we had was great. The menu has a lot to offer. The place isn't big by any stretch of the imagination but as soon as we walked through the door, we were greeted like old friends by Scott. He came by our table to check on us several times during our meal and cracked some jokes and interacted with all of his customers. What was especially endearing was the way he interacted with a mom and her young daughter who came in to pickup an order to go. They were obviously regulars and Scott leaned down and handed the little girl a bag of potato chips and she lit up. Scott and his wife are huge supporters of the Johnstown Tomahawks so it's nice to have a local family owned business that cares about the community. We will definitely be back!”

The portions were generous, pierogi were homemade, fish was crispy, and overall the food was simply excellent. This is an Exquisite Johnstown Pennsylvania dining experience.”

“Wow! What a wonderful restaurant! I live in Atlanta and it can be hard to find a great Jamaican restaurant in my town of 9 million. But, look no further Johnstown residents! I could not decide between the j*** chicken and the oxtails. So, I got both! Each one was fall off the bone tender and the juices soaked up the rice.And, the collards and the cabbage are outstanding. I am not sure what the secret ingredient is in each vegetable, but they are very tasty.I will try a vegetable plate next time as I will try the other vegetables too.This is a very welcome addition to the community. I would definitely recommend Island Cuisine Restaurant.Vegetarian options: Very full of flavor!”

“My go to for new places is always a chicken salad sandwich, and I must say I give the flood city cafe the credit for having the best. The sandwich tasted homemade and the croissant was beyond crispy but also the right amount of fresh. The macaroni could use more cheese but also tasted very fresh and homemade. Lastly the ice coffee we got was a 10/10. I’ve tried a lot of coffee and yet again, this coffee would probably be one of my favorites I’ve ever tried. Definitely recommend stopping by. Great energy from staff and beautiful cafe.”

“An Italian food store selling g a nice selection of ingredients, Sanso's appeared to be a clean cafeteria with a small seating area and deli counter selling hot food. The service counter was friendly and helpful, and he even brought the food out to where I was sitting when it was ready. Shrinkflation brought the sadness, though, as my meatball sub, while tasty, was lacking in meatballs, and was mostly bread. Luckily, I got a slice to go, so I got some pepperoni to ease the pain, but the sub could have fit 2 more meatballs without falling out of the bread.”

“Every time I visit Jtown I have to stop here and get soft shell tacos and a glass of Jtown Brown. Only issue is the space is very small, around 4 tables and seating at the bar. Took me awhile to realize "Craft Modern Kitchen" next door has the same menu and drinks available, with a lot more seating. Everything I've had so far is absolutely delicious. I wish they'd open a branch in Altoona. Whenever I visit I get extra tacos to take home to reheat later in the air fryer. They're magic in your mouth.”

I enjoyed the chicken and dumplings soup as a starter, then followed that with a great salad with a feta dressing. Onion rings were better than average, and the twice baked potato wasn't embarrassed to accompany the juicy steak. I will return and strongly suggest you make a visit when in the area.”

The owner is always available to talk with you and she tells you the history of her place going all the way back to her grandparents owning it. If you love seafood then I recommend you try the seafood pizza.
