“Pleasant service and amazing food! I first tried Renee’s Cold Cut Hut at a friend’s house for dinner and loved it so much that I’ve been telling everyone about it. Their tasty Italian subs are my go to. I will continue to go back!”
“Jireh is a great local spot in White Haven. Order from them frequently and they always have the orders ready, quick, friendly service. Definitely recommend for their lunch specials. The cheesesteak and antipasto are really good. You can never go wrong with a few slices of their pizza though. Thanks for the service!”
“Brunched here while staying locally for a ski weekend. Awesome breakfast food for SUPER cheap. Massive brunch for 5 for $50 Great home style atmosphere with friendly service.”
“One if the best pizzas i have ever had in a long time. Fluffy, sauce is done with perfection and baked in a timely manner. Not planned, we just stopped and felt hungry on our way to Poconos.”
“Great place to stop and have a delicious ice cream! Friendly staff, huge selection and variety. Plenty of take out choices also such as ice cream cakes, ice cream sandwiches, etc. The other locations are just as good and the owners are very community minded!Parking: All locations have plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, staff if friendly to everyone!”
“Food was fabulous..even the leftover steak reheated was so tender.Brian, our server, was fun and very attentive. He has an awesome sense of humor.Next year I’ll be back… ????????????????????????”
“My favorite type of place to go to eat: small, family owned, and non chain. This place checked those boxes. The staff was very friendly, patient, and personable. Food was delicious flavorful and fresh. Though a little expensive, it's definitely worth it. This was my first visit here and we'll definitely be back.”
“The fries were not crispy at all. They did taste good. I also had a burger and broccoli and cheese bites which were both delicious. The bartender was friendly and attentive. The prices were quite reasonable.Kid-friendliness: No one under 21 admitted. It is a bar after all.”
“The whopper meat wasnt the freshest but the sandwich was made well. Wasn't sopping with mayo or a whole slice of onion that rips the entire contents of the underside of the bun with the first of the bite. The addition to the ordering machines puts me at a crossroads tho. I appreciate that no one's gotta wait on my indecisiveness, but on the other hand all the personableness and satisfaction of a successful human interaction is gone. Putting us even further towards permanent social reclusivity and all that other mumbo jumbo that's been proving itself to be an actual thing. What time to be alive.”
“Staff were super friendly, food was great and I was so excited to have jalapeno poppers again!Kid-friendliness: My son was being a bit picky about his fish sandwich and they remade it for him and were really kind to him about it. So thank you for such a positive experience!”
“Nice and quite atmosphere. Serve was kind and very soft spoken. Food was better then expected over all good experience. Enjoyed our breakfast. Service was quick and clean.”
“Worth a detour! If you know what a dhaba is, then this is an authentic dhaba. If you don’t know what a dhaba is — it’s India’s equivalent of a “greasy spoon” diner, often catering to travelers and truckers with hearty comfort foods. Located in an old gas station this dhaba is as authentic as you can get outside of the South Asian subcontinent. It is also a real gas station and you can buy some Indian snacks to go. Regularly patronized by south Asian truckers, this spot unpretentiously welcomes all. Lack of decor is made up for by the warm service, and THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT: freshly cooked and prepared by an authentic north Indian bawarchi. STOP. EAT. ENJOY! ?????Vegetarian options: Solid vegetarian options. vegan may be harder”
“This is one of the best run McDonald's I've visited. I've eaten from this location more times than I care to admit, and it is consistently solid and they usually have a good crew working.”
“This is a lovely diner at the top of the Mtn in Freeland. We walked in and were seated right away. A lot of breakfast selections to choose from. We had the HeMan breakfast which came with 3 eggs, choice of meat, 2 pancakes, home fries or hash browns, toast, juice and coffee or tea. I ordered it because I like having a variety of foods to eat. I ate as much as I could but did not finish it. It was a lot of food for a very reasonable price and I will get it again because it was extremely tasty! Everyone we came across was very friendly. The restaurant was clean and welcoming. The parking lot isnt very large so try and come at a time that it might not be so crowded.”
“inexpensive food. nice small town feel. great service. lots to choose from. Hot dogs hamburgers cheesesteaks. Chicken tenders. Fish crab cakes clam strips shrimp. Pierogies French fries mozzarella sticks. and more!!”
“Stepping in here is like taking a step back in time! Everyone is very friendly and the food is very good. Very generous with the portions and what is provided...where else can you go and get soup, salad, your meal and dessert all for one price!! It's very affordable. Highly recommend.”
“Ambiance (4/5): There’s a huge parking lot and noticed that the venue is expanding. There’s a large bar in the center with several tables toward the back. Our timing was perfect and we were sat immediately on a weekend for our party of 6. The table was cool—made out of a whiskey barrel and a piece of glass on top. The inside is tight but cozy.Service (4/5): The place was bustling so our corner table was often neglected. They were doing their best! The staff was friendly and patient the whole time.Food:Starters: A bowl of bread and butter. Entrees also come with a salad and dressing of your choice. The salad is packed with mixed greens, peppers, tomatoes, and cucumbers!Buffalo Shrimp (5/5): I don’t even eat shrimp and it’s delicious! Whatever breading they use is packed with flavor and has a nice crunch to each biteBuffalo Wings (4/5): Ask for the wings with mild sauce and drizzled with parmesan sauce. There’s a light breading around the wing that gives it a nice crunch.Stuffed Chicken with Crab à la Vodka (4/5): The chicken was moist and filled completely of crab meat! The sauce was penne à la vodka was good but lacked some saltiness and flavoring. I had to dump a decent amount of salt and red peppers to it.”
“This is a very tiny, cute little pizzeria! Inside it is loaded with neat, art, and trains. We got a meat pizza, it was delicious. We got a side of french fries that were golden and crispy. The service was good and the bonus is you get to get your own refills.”
“I’ve been going to the Wilkes-Barre location for years and was excited to hear there’s a location in Mountain Top. I love playing a round of mini golf and enjoying a fluffernutter sundae with hot fudge!”
“We visited here on a Saturday evening around 4 pm. I highly recommend reservations, especially on the weekends, as they did fill up pretty quickly. The Chicken marsala I ordered was very good! It came with your choice of pasta, and I chose angel hair. I also enjoyed the personal meat lovers pizza we ordered as an appetizer. My friend loved their Italian wedding soup and eggplant parm. Overall, our experience here was very good, and we would definitely visit again.”
“When my Jeep grenaded it’s serpentine belt I pulled into the owners lot where I was greeted by Don and Vicky, they looked at my car, insisted I come in to stay warm and even gave me a few pints to take the sting of breaking down away! It doesn’t hurt they like the Steelers either! I will be back soon for real with my wife to say hello”
“Food is homemade and it’s sad to say but better than any home meal I had. The food is simply amazing, it is fresh and homemade with no GMOs. I grew up eating here and I grew taller than anyone in my family. I see people complain about the food how it went bad fairly quickly after taking it home. They clearly never had real food without the pesticides and gmos that make processed food last forever. You know the gmos that give you cancer? I guess those people want to die faster. Many people are naive and clearly stupid when they complain about that, but I would eat here at the Garlic Knot everyday if i could! The food is just too good not too. Crave it basically everyday!”
“Delicious vegan meals and Pam was amazing and caring for us. Definitely another spot to eat dinner in the Poconos.Vegetarian options: They have a separate menu just for vegan.Dietary restrictions: It's great to find a place that understands a vegan menu.Kid-friendliness: Arcade games and activities for the kids in the front entrance.”
“Truly a wonderful “hole in the wall”. Small and quaint but packed with flavors and an even greater volume for your bucks. CASH ONLY ! So don’t forget to grab some before stopping by there is no ATM available.”
“First time for me stopping here. I like that this place close to many long distance hiking/biking trails. Came in hankering for a good burger w fries. Found them having a rather wide selection, to choose from. Also craved a Heineken. Charming, friendly, helpful wait staff. Beer arrived perfectly chilled; not, too cold. Next, my dinner arrived, beautiful as ever.... n just as exciting on da pallette. Yumm. yumm.. yumm!Apparently, I was their first n only customer, for my time there. Peaceful can be a complementary embelishment to a long, busy day. Waitress inquired as to my satisfaction.... I had to confess, this dinner was so perfectly satisfactory, that I challenge chef to produce yet another, just like the first! Well, he sure did. And, me got another delightful Heineken to enjoy as much as the first. Sadly, I had to request my doggie bag, as it wouldn't all fit in my belly. I like this place, but I can't see em surviving on just one customer, getting treated almost like a king. But, that's the wonderment of a tiny, country restaurant........wondering if I should offer my ultimate BEST recipe for collard greens, to this chef¿? But, then who likes waiting in line, to get a table, eh?!”
“One server answered the phone, took everyone’s food orders, served food, and most everything else. The breakfast (eggs, hash browns or other potatoes, choices of meats and toasts) was good. It was fun listening to the many veterans discuss the wars during their times served. I would return any day to help support the small community business in the anthracite coal region, and a short distance from Citterio’s. A post office adjoins the small cafe’ restaurant. A full breakfast for under $10.”
“Absolutely loved it! Staff was prompt and courteous, the cook even came out to make sure everything was good, cozy atmosphere, and the food was delicious for a very reasonable price! Our new regular spot after tonight!Kid-friendliness: They had a small but very wide array of food from just buttered noodles to burgers!”

“We took a chance on this place during our road trip and it was absolutely delightful! Small little tavern with lots of character and very good food. The portions are very generous and the staff were wonderful. Highly recommend!”
