“Nice place! Expensive but worth it. Fish and chips $18! Fish was perfectly prepared with light breading and cooked just right. Server was polite and patient, waiting for our menu selections - but then disappeared. Still, 4 stars for perfect fish and chips. Highly recommended!“
“This place is excellent. The food was amazing and the drinks were even better. They sure know how to make a nice, strong Long Island Iced Tea. The service was fantastic. They weren’t pushy and waiting till I was ready to order. Once the food was prepared and arrived, it was shockingly amazing. It blew my mind. The burger was well done but still reminded moist and juicy. The fries were cooked to perfection. I ordered two Long Islands from the table. And after I was done, I moved to the bar because they were that good. They really hit the spot. Their prices were up there but hey, you get what you pay for. So it was well well worth it. I would definitely come here again if I am in the area again. Enjoy guys.“
“Sophia is wonderful. She has created a little gem with wonderful people and excellent food. My favorite brunch item continues to be this amazing pork chop, so tender, so tasty. Have never had a bad meal here in all the years we have been going.“
“The food is always on par with the price, especially the portions. Even it’s a bit pricier than some restaurants but amount of food you get is worth the price.Service has always been good. Only small issue here or there but it’s rare.Atmosphere is great if you go during lunch on a weekday or Sunday. But if you go at night time, especially on weekends; it gets LOUD.Parking: Good number of parking spot, but when it’s really busy at night; may have a harder time finding parking spots.Kid-friendliness: It’s good for family during lunch time. Dinner can get LOUD, especially during football season.“
“I have been to the Elizabethtown location many times but have just recently visited Mechanicaburg. I was happy to experience the same laid back and welcoming atmosphere. The bartenders are all personable and attentive. Very much a neighborhood bar with a community feel, it’s easy to talk to your bar neighbors and you may even make a new friend while you are there. The menu was reminiscent of Etown with some good options and they do have a special holiday/seasonal menu. Parking is a surface lot but if they are full I believe you can park across the street at Ashcombes but don’t quote me on that.“
“I must say, my son has great taste. Intrigued by the sign saying simply, Restaurant, my son screamed for us to go there for dinner so we took a chance. From the moment you step in, you get a rustic, classic vibe. The booths are roomy and the staff, friendly and caring. The food was amazing. I had their chicken cordon Bleu and I must say, it melted in my mouth. The mushroom sauce was just the right touch. It's a savory, mouth watering, satisfying dish that I can't wait to come back for. I highly recommend this place and will definitely come back again. Did I mention that it's affordable?“
“I had the best food ever and am definitely going back. My only problem was the waitress, she acted towards my friend and I that she didn't want to get us anything or do anything. She didn't get a very big tip. Tried calling but didn't get an answer. She wasn't that busy or I would have understood. Didn't get her name and will keep trying to call.“
“My wife and I were in town for the weekend and we came here twice because it was so good! The food is out of this world fantastic; especially for the price. Their beer is also fantastic. We will absolutely stop back in next time we’re in Harrisburg.“
“This was actually my first time here, even though I heard their wings are good for years. I stopped in during happy hour from 4 to 6. Yingling lagers on sale for $2 and orderd a side salad for there and hot wings to go. The salad was good, and the wings were great. Definitely in the top 5 for me. Great atmosphere and service. I would definitely recommend.“
“First time coming here today. Had lunch with a friend and was very impressed with the service from our waitress as well as the food!! I got the corned beef pretzel roll sandwich and it was so good! Great vibes all around and seems like a relaxing place to just hang in the neighborhood. Our waitress checked on us multiple times and didn't mind that we sat for a while enjoying our conversation after lunch. Looking forward to coming back.“
“This was amazing how I was welcomed as it was my first time there and I never had their food before and I was looking for a place that has that taste of Philadelphia and this was it. I really enjoyed how the chessesteak hoagie was made and the cheese fries were great. I want to thank the staff there for the " on the house " I appreciate that and I will be returning there for my choice of authentic chessesteak hoagies and sides. Thank you again.Parking: Curbside pickup and convenient parking.Kid-friendliness: They treat you like your one of the staff.“
“Best diner in the area. I've been going here going on 10 years I believe. The staff is always pleasant. The food is fantastic and you can't beat the prices. It gives you a mom and pop feel eating here and those are some of the best experiences when dining if you ask me. Highly recommend.Parking: This place stays pretty busy so parking is usually scarce and you may need to park on the street if the lot is full.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. Me and my now 5 year old comes here every other weekend.“
“gave this a try around 7:30pm (30 min before closing) and they were SO nice, so excited for us to try their food. We had the jhol chicken momo and pani puri! Both were so delicious, really hot and fresh which was perfect for our to-go order. Mango lassi was delicious and pretty good sized cup! We can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu and enjoy the traditional seating area!Kid-friendliness: Food friendly options for all ages to try Nepalese cuisine“
“We used the Elks Lodge for a luncheon after a family funeral. We could not have been more pleased! We met with Marisa late on a Friday. The reception was the following Tuesday. Everything we talked about was done and the room looked awesome. I highly recommend this place!“
“A hidden gem food wise. Yes this is your average bar and bar food. But those wings are something special. I went here as a kid and now as an adult I still love the wings. The environment is a bar, the service is bar service, but the food is worth it. If it’s not your style of restaurant that’s fine but don’t pass up those “
“We met up with a good friend who took us out to dinner before NewYear. The food was off the hook really good even coming home I was still talking about it. Will be back again in fact I know this is going to be a place to go. Special Thanks To Danley “
“A very tiny deli with a limited menu and the traffic of customers were endless. They only have 3 bar stool tables inside and two outdoors. A corner location across from the capital. Staff friendly and helpful as I told them I have never been there before. I had the corned beef and had it just as recommended on menu, very good.“
“Stopped in to grab a casual dinner. It’s reminiscent of an Irish pub with dining. They even have a little fireplace in the back- it may be electric but still a nice touch. My server Ari was so sweet and attentive. She took great care of me. It’s customer service like this that makes me come back and tell others. I ordered the Cesar salad with grilled chicken. It was a large portion and tasted great. She even sold me to bring some house made berry cheesecake with me for later tonight. Pricing was reasonable, service was great, and the vibe was great. What’s not to like?“
“Great place for breakfast and lunch, smoothies, & healthy desserts. DELICIOUS food that you won’t even realize is good for you because it’s so tasty! This super cool, laid-back & artsy atmosphere makes a great place to hang with your family or friends. Inside & outside dining and room for a larger grip, or cozy coffee date. GREAT VEGAN & vegetarian options! Saturday & SUNDAY THEY SERVE A HARD TO BEAT BREAKFAST/brunch. Go here now! You can thank me later! ?“
“Having heard about Tito's Diner on the Kendale Oaks Neighborhood blog, and as we were driving in the vicinity of the eatery, my wife and I stopped there for breakfast this morning. In one word: Fantastic! But just one word does not do it justice. Both my meal and my wife's were served quickly, were piping hot, and tasted incredibly delicious. I should also mention that the portions were very generous. The owner even noticed our fresh faces from far across the diner, and came over to greet us, and to make sure everything was to our liking. He could not have been nicer. This may have been our first time there, but it certainly will not be our last.Do yourselves a favor and stop in for a meal at Tito's (9 Progress Ave., just north of Rt 22). You will be very glad you did.“
“Stopped here while in town for a show. Tried something new. It was great. My wife had some special, chicken on a skewer and rice, that was great. Kiddo ate well with plenty of options. My burger was huge. Pittsburger I think. Gave me choice of cheese. If and when I return I will be eating here again for “
“This place is AMAZING n the food was AMAZING n DELICIOUS!! It was my first time there n have an amazing new Boyfriend that took me. I had something with the chicken (don't remember the name but it was below the Maryland Crab Cakes on the menu ) 1 Maryland Crab Cakes with it. My drink was OMG so good it was almost like a Blue Hawaiian but it was more like a Daiquiri. My dessert was a Lemon Cheesecake n OMG that was very yummie. The waitress was beautiful n awesome person. I would LOVE to go back. All I can say is I would recommend to anyone...... ????“
“THIS is a diner! As such you will not receive gourmet plates. However you will receive decent food at an incredible price. Burgers, breakfast, specials, desserts... All good (and possibly covered in copious amounts of gravy). You can't go wrong here. Even if it were possible, you'd be out less than $10. What's not to like?EDIT for 2023 - prices have, of course, edged up a bit, but this place is still a bargain and still worth stopping by.“
“We stopped in here for a late lunch and had great service. We decided to try a chicken quesadilla as an appetizer and it did not disappoint!! It was huge, loaded with crispy chicken and cheese, and came with salsa and sour cream. So good. Then we got breakfast for lunch - I had the biscuits and gravy with home fries and over easy eggs. It was delicious. My husband had the French toast, which was on thick bread and cooked to perfection. He also tried an omelette which was equally delicious. Prices were great. Inside is a bit dated, but wouldn’t stop us from coming back. Can’t wait to try the full breakfast menu and other things from the lunch menu!!“
“Great food, price, and quantity! All the food is excellent with a Greek flare. In house, salad/soup bar is always fresh and filling. I get a lot of carryout and am always happy. The deserts are awesome -spoil yourself.Try the Eggs Benedict Florentine (spanakopita like spinach) in hollandaise ($3 extra sauce), and all of the menu is yummy. Best kept secret for us locals. Good anytime. Hope you enjoy.“
“What a lucky find! We stopped en route to Maryland and they could not have been nicer. The service was fantastic, and they were able to accommodate the disabled members of my family without question or hesitation, even opening a different section of the restaurant for us to all be able to sit at a table together. The food was brought out quickly, our drink refills were ready before we even asked, and I had the best diner burger I've had in years. I highly recommend this place!!“
“I think Boro has really good bar food, and a beautiful view of the river and sunset, if you go around dinner time. We often go there during football season to watch the games.Kid-friendliness: This is a great place for kids. It is somewhat loud and high energy with sports typically playing on the TVs, so I like to bring my son because I don’t feel like it’s a quiet environment where he would disturb other customers.“
“Genuinely some of the best food I have ever eaten. You can really tell the chefs put effort into every dish. They have a great coffee selection as well, and a ton of fresh baked goods made in house! Bri was very helpful on the front end and Chef Maret made some great recommendations. Highly recommend this spot for your brunch/lunch needs.“
“All the food was expertly prepared and perfectly cooked but I honestly didn't like the flavor of the goat cheese appetizer and the two desserts, lemon creme brulee and tiramisu. The creme brulee was too lemony for me but executed perfectly whereas the tiramisu was confusing and a little liquor forward. I honestly believe other people might order these and love them. Crab cake, vegetables, and potatoes are great, but the sauce with the crab was too spritely with the lemon. Service was great and prices were fair. I recommend this restaurant as they have excellent food prepared exactly as it should be but maybe not right for my tastes. I know this is a weird review, but I want to go back and think you should go too!“
“Came in Friday and it was great as always, Laura did a fantastic job. Had the Braised Short Ribs again, I always want to try something new, but they are so good I go back to it every time. If I had one complaint it would be the chocolate peanut butter cake my wife wanted for dessert, it was as fresh as I've come to expect from this place. Everything else was fantastic though from the appetizers to the sides Will be back again“
“Ordered the Elevated Egg Sandwich and my wife ordered the A.M. Superfoods Bowl. Both were very delicious, but my wife was absolutely in love with hers.Very nice rustic/farm decor and open floor plan. It was nice being able to see into the kitchen.Look forward to going back soon.Parking: Large parking lot with plenty of spaces.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs and all the tables have chairs that can be moved out.“
“I was at Thea for lunch today with a friend. I have been here many times and it never disappoints. I made reservations and requested my favorite server, Sarah. As always, Sarah did a stellar job as server and she is always engaging. I had the blackened halibut sandwich and fries, along with fries. It was delicious. I really like the atmosphere here , the food, and Sarah. Look for a reservation from me again soon! Thank you!“
“Very friendly service. Sub rolls were exceptional. Turkey was tender as well as great quality pickles for sub. Pizza had quality ingredients, didn't taste anything off, crust is thin, easy to eat, got a good amount of air pockets in the dough so nice and crisp.“
“I come here almost every Thursday night! I love their cream chipped beef! The best I ever had! All their food is fantastic though! Its all homemade! Great breakfast!!! It's a must especially on the latest night you have! They are open 24 hours! Love them! Worth the trip from harrisburg. Waffle house is way too packed at 2 am. Go here!!“
“For years I have passed by this place and never stopped in . This morning I got to try O'Reilly's and went for breakfast. I didn't know they even served breakfast until this morning when my friend suggested we give this place a try. I always thought it was an Irish pub only severing lunches, dinners and bar food / drink stuff. Well, they also serve a good breakfast! The place is very nice and clean. The food was very good, I had the fresh fruit pancakes & my friend had one of the breakfast sandwiches w/ roasted potatoes. We both enjoyed our meals. I am definitely coming back again for breakfast and I would love to try the dinner menu. Our waiter recommended the Chili and the some of the smoked meats. 4.5 stars to our waiter! (sorry I do not remember his name?) I will update my rating once I try the dinner menu.“
“Update to my Harvest review. As always a great meal and especially good service from Ethan. It was a busy Friday night, but Ethan made sure that our appetizer and entrees were delivered in perfect time.Another great experience at Harvest. We celebrated our anniversary here tonight and it didn't disappoint. The food and cocktails were delicious and the service was great! Thank you Brittney for taking such good care of us!“
“Always delicious and fabulous service. You can’t go wrong with anything you order. The house made ranch is the best I’ve ever tasted and I wish they bottled and sold it. Sarah was a wonderful server and went above and beyond for us and made my birthday/Valentine’s Day extra special. We always enjoy our experience and will be back again!“
“Looking for breakfast On the way home after spending a weekend in harrisburg, unhappy with the reviews of the Big Name places in the area, this one looked promising. We were not disappointed. Not a huge place, but there was a steady stream of people in and out. We were greeted and seated immediately, barely had our jackets off when our server showed up right behind us. My husband said his creamed chipped beef on a Belgian waffle was "ok" (a little light on the ccb for his liking), but making a decision between my usual eggs, etc, or something decadent, I asked our server's opinion, and went with the wild berry French toast. She was right, it was amazing. They had items you don't normally find at a typical diner, and I suspect we might have to start making out of town trips for breakfast now. Maybe for dinner as well...“
“The tented area would be great if the seats were comfortable, they are small cheap resin chairs. Food was delicious, except for the ribs which were served room temperature cold with bland sauce. Everything else was satisfying, service was great!“
“First timer and everything was Awesome, started with a sangria...so yummy. Then ordered the French onion soup, lots of onions, broth and cheese just the way i like it. Entree was the triple seafood ravioli and lobster bits in blush sauce....fantastic. server was readily available but left you enjoy your “
“We went there to celebrate my birthday!! Did not know that it was Trivia Night but that was not a problem at all!! Food and service were excellent and prices very reasonable!! Did not "officially" participate in trivia game but had fun at our table playing a guessing game amongst ourselves and were still able to converse!! There were 6 of us and we all were very happy and satisfied with our whole experience!! Is definitely a place where I will go again and not hesitate to recommend to others!!Vegetarian options: 2 vegetarianis in our party - they had no problem with having options on the menu or being able to modify other menu items so they would be suitable for their needs!!Parking: Very large lot in front and plenty of parking along the side!! Not a problem at all - very well lit!!“
“We had reservations for Valentine’s Day dinner and the experience could not have been any better. Our server was friendly and attentive. The drinks were very good. The food was absolutely delicious. I had been here before and knew the food was good so I was expecting that and was not disappointed. We would have tried dessert but we had other plans. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Parking is in the street or across the street in a city garage. Check Harrisburg parking authority for days/times/rates. Stock’s ownership also owns Carley’s Piano Bar around the corner so be sure to check them out as well.Dietary restrictions: I’m sure they would accommodate any requests zParking: Easy parking on the street or in the garage across the street. Check Harrisburg parking authority for days/times/ratesWheelchair accessibility: No stairs to get in and there is plenty of space to maneuver a walker/wheelchair but I would call to confirm.“
“We used the Elks Lodge for a luncheon after a family funeral. We could not have been more pleased! We met with Marisa late on a Friday. The reception was the following Tuesday. Everything we talked about was done and the room looked awesome. I highly recommend this place!“
“This place has some of the best pizza in the Harrisburg area! The subs are also great and the Philly Cheesesteak is awesome! The large is absolutely massive! It also has one of the cleanest kitchens you will see and I had worked in the restaurant industry for years.“
“My family and friends go to the Metro Diner about once a week. The food is excellent! In fact my granddaughters say the food is “more than excellent!”. We always have Candy as our server. She is awesome! She is on top of everything and is so nice!Kid-friendliness: There are menus with crayons and lots of activities!“
“Great little "hole in the wall" pub. Absolutely AMAZING roast beef au ju. Tender and juicy, nice crusty sub roll with your favorite cheese. I add horseradish or the horseradish "Tiger" sauce. Been to the Grotto several times, and honestly haven't ordered anything else because the roast beef is just that good! Great and friendly service too. Go to the Grotto Pub, get the roast beef, have a Guinness to go with it, you will not be disappointed, guaranteed!“
“I seldom eat out. However, when I do, this is one of the very few places where I will eat . We are always treated well. I wish I could remember the young man who always takes care of us when we are there. Very attentive. Very polite. Very good at his job.“
“Great place for lunch or dinner! We arrived just before 3pm, so Alaina gave us the option to order lunch or dinner. She was super sweet and friendly. And the food was DELICIOUS! The owner / manager even stopped by our table to chat. Highly recommend!!!“
“The food is well executed, I like that it is not your "concrete floor, open space, loud noise" environment, the atmosphere is wonderful for a small gathering. I only wish they had greater selection for a vegetarian who does not like seafood.“
“$3 "natty daddys" with the boys at the Yankee doodle diner is the move after workin outside in the cold all day. Definitely more of an older person's kind of atmosphere but it's a sleeper Mexican restaurant I think. They serve alcohol and all day breakfast, some Mexican food too and they're welcome to bigger party's of people too. Definitely check them out if McDonald's has become to expensive and to low quality for you, this place is cheaper and the food is so much better than alot of other places aroundWheelchair accessibility: There's no curb up to the door, it's just flat and it's all one level inside“
