Fairmount Bagel Bakery is a Montreal icon for bagels. Although there are many bagel factories in Montreal, we stand behind certain manufacturers Fairmount, St-Viateur, Bagels Factory etc... for me it is Fairmount Bagels Bakery.
I stopped in as my travel companion wanted to bring bagels home from our visit to Montreal.It was busy on a beautiful Sunday morning, and there was a small lineup going up the ramp to the front door. A five (or so) minute wait later, we got to the front of the line to place our orders.I chose a dozen all-dressed (everything) and a dozen garlic. Best bagels ever! Sesame seed is a good option as that’s the type they make the most frequently, so you’re almost guaranteed to get a hot, fresh bagel straight out of the wood fired oven.
