Day 1 in @montreal and the first order of business was to climb Mount Royal. Coming down for lunch, we checked out this place serving cusine from New Zealand, @ta_pies. Surely, 4.8 stars from over 600 reviews is something? And something it was!Just awesome pies. But don't miss the rum balls!
I have been a fan for years, but mostly through delivery. I was in the neighbourhood recently, though, and I went in. Had a great experience chatting with the person behind the counter, everything was great, except that when I opened up the box to eat my pie, it was the wrong one. I ordered butter chicken, I received what looked like bolognese sauce and cheese. I still ate it (no time to go back), and it was delicious, it was just the wrong kind. Leurs tartes salé, moelleux et savoureux sont tout simplement divin et fait différent des mets habituel sur rotations, je recommande 100% leurs tarte au curry ou au bourguignon? (ne prenez pas les patates pilé par contre elle goute comme celles em poudre avec une sauce tomate dessus, cetais un peux décevant MAIS LEURS TARTES EN VAUT VRAIMENT LA PEINE)
