Pleasantly surprised!! The menu was a little challenging for us to read. Lots of words we didn't recognize and honestly nothing was really jumping out at us for some reason. This is a local favorite that has evolved with the times while retaining the charm and excellence that has defined it for decades. There are a lot of options for dining in the East Bay, but this is one of the best. If you haven't been to the Dion in awhile you should definitely put it on your list. You will be delighted. (And my 14-year-old son said it was "A real one. No cap." So there you have it.

I had a birthday celebration at this restaurant. We sat near the cozy fireplace on a chilly night. The cheeseboard (varied cheeses, focaccia bread, honey, blackberries, nuts, jam, greens) and Pt. Judith calamari were beautifully presented. Excellent bottle of Pinot Grigio from Tuscany, Italy added to food, Staff was very accomodating.
