A real hidden gem here - a low key authentic Portuguese cafe, inside and out. The waitress recommended a good wine, and we tried the kale soup, pork and littleneck clam stew and Paella-like seafood rice. All were great, in ample portions, and reasonably priced. One of the best restaurants in the area! The decor is not fancy, but that part of the low-key atmosphere. The food is always fresh and they play music videos on TVs in the dining area. A bar is also available and locals come in and out for drinks and food. When we moved to RI, our Cape Verdean friend introduced us to Beirao and we begged to go back time after gone for the salmon and steak dishes. Absolutely delicious!!! Little restaurant, great service and food! We were treated like regulars! Went friday night, not too busy. Food didn’t take long. I had the grilled octopus, some of the best I’ve had in RI.
