“What can I say. If you love seafood or to eat period then you need to come here. My sister took me here when I was pregnant but unfortunately I couldn't each much cause my stomach was sensitive to flavors. I could really only stomach the snowcrab legs but i had no problem with that. The king crab legs were so big I did not feel like cracking them all open. They had so many options from deserts to cookies to seafood to steak and many more. It is definitely pricey but worth it.Kid-friendliness: family friendly”

“I’m gluten free and also sugar free. This is the only place in southern Rhode Island that I go to for lunch for outstanding food and flavor. Everything is amazing and you can tell the chef really puts love into his cooking!Also, I love how the sandwiches mostly aren’t made with deli meat. Everything is fresh and thick cut. It’s amazing.”

“Just as or energy was starting to dip on our drive we saw a sign for Daves Coffee and pulled over unsure if they would even be open by Kate Narch as most places we passed were closed for the winter but we need not have worried. We ordered two coffees Latte and a Cappuccino they also have a good selection of cakes so we also took a blueberry muffin and cookie which were both delicious. Would 100% recommend a visit if you are passing and in need of refreshments, they also sell the coffee beans online.”

“My wife and I went 2 days in a row during our valentine day weekend it was really quiet/slow the first day and food came out so quick everything was perfect. Next day it was really busy. We were seated right away and the food came out just as fast as when the place was dead. This kitchen knows how to move!! Everything was great my wife got the steak and eggs. It was hands down one of the best breakfast steaks we’ve ever tried! If your looking for a cozy comfortable place to get a quick breakfast then stop here! Thank you too the Chef!!!”

“This restaurant is a hidden gem. We only went here because we were driving through Charleston, RI. Food and drink selection is excellent...something for everyone. Staff was also very nice. Definitely makeing the trip more often.”

“Staff is nice and seems to have a system that works to keep the line moving. Not much room inside to wait. Would be good if there was an awning over the door when the line is long and the weather not great.Vegetarian options: Did not order but saw items on menu. Would like to try their sandwiches. There is a good variety to choose from.Parking: Parking lot is long and narrow, directly on the main road. Be careful leaving watching for traffic coming around the cornerWheelchair accessibility: No wheelchair entrance but you can order online and have it brought out to you”

“They don’t have a public bathroom and they have a min of credit cards (a nice guy in there bought my coffee) but after we found the bathroom down the street… then we went back .. and had the best seafood salad wrap..fresh and big!”

“I was in search of soft serve ice cream. I couldn't find any but vanilla on this specific day but they had all the mix in! They added some chocolate syrup and it was just what I was craving! So good!”

“We had a delightful (off season) lunch at this lovely, spacious restaurant/bar off the main road in Charlestown, RI. We ate at the beautiful wide wooden bar and had a delicious and reasonably priced meal. The service was friendly, local, prompt and attentive. My cajun spiced flounder with horseradish aioli over rice with salsa was delicious, a very generous portion (made two meals) and spiced perfectly rather than the limited bland "cajun" food served elsewhere around here. The Garlic Bread Bites were also delicious. A lovely, quiet, delicious and very affordable meal just a minute off the beaten track. Highly recommend it, especially off season in South County, RI!”

Our server was kind and it was only about a 5-10 minute wait to get a table on an early Sunday afternoon.We started with strawberry lemonades which were super refreshing and not too sweet. The sassafras iced tea was sold out, unfortunately - looking forward to trying that next time.We got the shrimp and nausamp, Sly Fox benedict, and the Indigenous sandwich. The venison in both the sandwich and the sausage in the bene was delicious. The fry bread is a must-try and the grits were the best I've ever had them prepared. Everything was scratch-made and the portions were filling and satisfying.We had the pleasure of speaking with the chef Sherry Pocknett since we were there toward the end of breakfast/lunch service. She was a delight and explained to us how the ingredients are locally and directly sourced. The venison sausage had been made that morning! She is passionate about food and takes great care in what is served. The James Beard Award is very much deserved.This isn't some greasy spoon diner where you get your food super fast, so be prepared with that info and relax. Seeing reviews missing stars because of that is frustrating because some of the dishes have complexity and scratch-made food takes time, and it's worth the wait. Re-watch My Cousin Vinny to understand why real grits won't be on your table the moment you order.A wonderful breakfast and I can't wait to go back to try lunch (and dinner!) “I was there recently for course event that was sponsored by the restaurant. Each course was extraordinarily thought out with wonderful taste bud treats. They also had it paired with wine that was simply lovely. Hands down the lamb lollipops jumped off the plate and happily landed in my mouth!They were pulling that night but our primary server was Marco. Delightful, Prompt and Professional.The atmosphere was n8ce + well renovated. I think for a casual dinner with friends it's perfect. They had a nice bar too.Even though it's a long drive from where we live, We will definitely be back. A yummy go to in Charlestown.”

“Lots of different choices of specialty pizza. We tried the potato and bacon. I only gave them four stars because they didn't have the sour cream as advertised..they had ranch.I was looking forward to the sour cream. I probably wouldn't have taken off a whole star if I had another option. As far as atmosphere... it's a pizza place! I would definitely go again!”

“These guys deserve a serious award as inflation busters! Got a delicious large cheeseburger sub for NINE DOLLARS-- in late 2023, and especially in Southern RI, that's a great deal for a square meal. Nice dude running the counter too. Excellent place for sandwiches at a great value, I especially recommend them if you need to feed a bunch of people for work.”

“I ordered a small coffee. My server asked if I wanted cream and sugar. I said "cream only." They gave me whipped cream on top of my coffee, and served it in a medium sized cup. Not what I was looking forward to, and I did not like the sweet taste. My guest had sausage egg and cheese on a croissant, and the croissant was overcooked: burned around the edges. Hope the staff can grow into their summer jobs. It's still early in the season so let's hope.”

“My parents and I had lunch here last week and loved the ambiance. The decor was fun and quirky, but warm. The food was delicious and the service was great. The only reason that I am giving it a 4 instead of a 5 is that the menu is limited for vegetarians. They did have a veggie dog option, so I had a kimchi dog and it was great. My dad had the gabagool sandwich and said it was delicious and filling, and my mom had the grilled cheese. We shared a basket of fries, which was large enough for the three of us. The fries were a bit overdone, but still pretty tasty. We will definitely go back, but would love to see a few more vegetarian options next time.”

“Top notch experience every time. Even our picky kids rave about the ramen! If you haven’t tried this gem yet, you are missing out! We went in on a Saturday night, got seated right away, and the food came out, made to order, in minimal time. We even got seconds on the buns and they came out quick and delicious, made with the freshest ingredients, even right before closing time. Matt and Alex really have this down to a science. Hats off to you guys! Amazing place!!”

“I hadn't been here in a few years. I remember the last time the food was just so so, it might have been a different management at that point. So I was pleasantly surprised with the food. I had the Philly cheese steak and it was absolutely delicious.”

“I love this place. Pace of play always seems to be reasonable. The conditions are more than adequate for the price. Pretty gettable layout, but some unexpected challenges can bite you (looking at you, #7 and #8). The rock-hard greens in the summer are venomous for those of us who like to play airborne golf. Back "5" holes across the road are insanity. Local knowledge required.NO TEE TIMES. Always open. Ol' reliable.”

“There are so many flavors! My brother and I were on day 4 of a 5-day backpacking trip when we stopped here. Really excellent outdoor seating area, with shade from trees and some nice-looking large rocks nearby. This place had basically every type of ice cream you could want. We also refilled our water bottles from a hose attached to the outside of the place. Great stop, exceeded expectations!”
