Yooo whaddup! I'm visiting from Miami. If you're looking for the freshest and tastiest oysters this is the place to be. Excellent customer service. Easy reservations. Great tasting food. Amazing experience. Highly recommend the Cherry Stone Clams.

Providence oyster bar on a Wednesday night in February. Service was outstanding. I loved the R&B music mix that was playing, I was eating lobster and getting jiggy with it. Not sure everyone who spend 100 bucks per plate is looking for Will Smith and Biggie and Nelly, but maybe.Waitress made sure to open a fresh bottle of wine. Thank you so much. Appreciate the service detail. The food was pretty bad. Crab legs it clearly been frozen and they were pretty much disintegrating as I tried to get them out of the shell. The lobster was likewise not that fresh.

Go for 3-6 pm Appy Hour, otherwise pretty expensive. Excellent oysters and mussels. The waiter might not tell you about the Appy Hour either so I'm here to do it.

Was able to walk in, the raw bar was a little behind, but we were taken care of with our beverages and offered a cup of soup. The ambiance of the place is beautiful, classy and welcoming. The food was delicious! We got raw oysters, cherry stone class, cocktail shrimp. The spicy tuna roll was a nice add to our meal. We also got the fried scallops (small, but sweet), the mussels (oh my, don't skip this), and the lobster wonton. Overall, it was worth and the price wasn't really bad. I would come back. The drinks are on point. Black and bleu martini with handstuffed gloves, chefs kiss.

After all the great reviews I was excited to visit, but for me it was a mixed bag. The hostess was very pleasant, and so were the bussers and even the valet. But our waitress left a lot to be desired. She gave us one of those smiles that doesn't reach the eyes, and her words didn't match her tone of voice. The vibe was that she would rather not have been serving us but we unfortunately sat at her station. This feeling was confirmed by the painfully slow service from the drinks to the appetizers to the dinner. It put a damper on what should have been a nice experience as I was trying to treat my wife to a nice birthday meal. The food? It was mostly good. I loved the scallops wrapped in bacon, and the calamari was delicious when paired with the peppers and marinara. The shrimp cocktail was pretty good too. The oysters and lobster, however, were just average and didn't taste as fresh as I expected. After finally convincing our waitress to cash us out, the hostess was nice enough to tell my wife happy birthday as we were leaving (of course the waitress said nothing even though I made this known on the reservation). And the valet had our car waiting and ready to go when we left. So it was great coming and going, and if only the waitress was better this would have at least been a 4 star experience.

$1 oyster happy hour is the way to go. A little on the smaller side but still a good deal and the oysters the day we came were a great salinity. Also got the happy hour wasabi calamari, which was fine and maybe could use a bit more wasabi. The happy hour menu doesn't have any drink deals on it, unfortunately. Great and quick service at the bar seats.

Providence Oyster Bar is a staple. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the service hits the mark every time. The seafood selection, especially the oysters, is fresh and impressively prepared. It's clear they know what they're doing in the kitchen. Great place for a casual night out, highly recommend giving it a try.
