I come here at least every other week and always dine at the bar. The food is great. Best lasagna on the Hill (but ask for it crispy!) Their pizzas are all great but the Farfalla is truly unique (bow-tied shape.) I also enjoy the simple spaghetti tossed in fresh garlic and olive oil for a light dinner. This was a last minute reservation. I'd never been to Trattoria Appia before, but I will say my party of five had a wonderful dining experience there. The service was fantastic! Food was absolutely delicious and the restaurant was very roomy. We will definitely be back soon.
Lovely and lively ambiance. Food is excellent with great attention to detail - the fresh pasta, simple red sauce, bolognese, and add-on sautéed chicken were perfectly prepared. Gabriella was our server. Her suggestions for food and wine were thoughtful and appropriate. The wait staff appeared young and highly attentive.
