“Went to Maki again last night. We hadn't planned on it but had planned on another place for our 36th anniversary. Then we found some very bad reviews on our first choice special occasion place that made us not want to take a chance. So we went to Maki as we knew it would be perfect in every sense. As always, sushi was fresh and innovative. The sliced tenderloin with ponzu app was something new for us, and it was amazing. Our server Mary was bubbly and pleasant and efficient. So Maki is a place for really, really amazing food with the chops for a special occasion.“
“I've ate at several fugi's in the upstate and this particular location is a step above the others. Food is extremely good The FOH/ BOH that works there is extremely attentive to there customers and pays attention to the details from the preparation of the food to the cleanliness of their store. Would highly recommend them for lunch or dinner. I have ate at this particular location multiple times in the 3 years that I have lived in that area and the quality of the food is consistent.“
“I always thought this was an hibachi grill type place. It isn't. Yes, you can get your hibachi dinners, but not served in front of you like we always thought. We were looking for a place to eat sushi when our favorite place was closed that day. We thought the sushi was good, but is all we had. They didn't have spicy scallops, which surprised me and the fried shrimp heads aren't served along side their "sweet shrimp," which is typical at other places. We just didn't get them. We'd go back again. We went on a Sunday and they were busy with after-church goers.“
“We have been going to Fugi on a weekly basis since 2011. We have never been disappointed. The staff is always very attentive and very friendly. They know our family and we have gotten to know each of theirs. I can’t say enough about this place..when it Anderson…stop at Fugi!“
“I had a hankering for some sushi, and I stopped in to grab lunch to-go. I waited no longer than 10 minutes, if that, and I was on my way with some delicious food. If you're in to hibachi or sushi, give this place a shot, I think you'll enjoy it.“
“Food was very good, crab salad was delish, cheese angels were the best in town, sushi was also very good. Kids chicken nuggets are VERY similar to McDonald’s.We had the pink lady roll, crazy boy roll & firecracker roll. All were very good.The steak and shrimp hibachi was also very goodService was not so good. Our waitress may have been having an off day. She forgot to put one of our sushi rolls in, forgot the soup that comes with the hibachi… she was also very jittery…“
“Normally I would give 5 stars all the way across. The food is always delicious and I'm obsessed with it, but they were not on point tonight for some reason. I had my order delivered right before they closed but I have before and never an issue. My order was wrong. I ordered and paid for 2 scoops of carrots and got none. I ordered the steak hibachi with fried rice mushrooms and onions as well as the carrots. I got an extra thing of yum yum sauce and a lump of white rice. To say I was disappointed and it tasted nowhere near the same is an understatement. I'm going to chalk it up to someone having an off night because it's my favorite place to eat.“
“Sat takeout around 415. Place looked clean. Dining area looked good as well. We had two orders of Teriyaki Chicken for takeout. It was pretty good. I wish it was a bit more food, but it was just enough. Came with some sauce. We will try again.“
“Bomb.com and cheap too. I like that I can sub all my veggies for Broccoli only with out an additional charge. There's usually only one girl running the floor and all call ins and she does a fantastic job. Personally one of my favorite places to eat in Anderson“
“I love this place. The sushi and the hibachi are 10/10. very good quality. Very affordable and the staff are kind and professional. I’ve seen some negative reviews about the paper plates because they weren’t “fancy”. I find that ridiculous. These people are doing their best. The food is quality food and the restaurant is always clean. The prices are very reasonable. It’s not often you can find a great sushi place in Anderson South Carolina. I’m very grateful to have this place so close to home, I will definitely be back.“
