I recently had the pleasure of dining at Butcher & Bee Charleston for brunch. I was absolutely blown away by the food, the service, and the atmosphere. The menu is full of creative, seasonal dishes made with local ingredients. I started with the whipped feta with honey and walnuts, which was absolutely delicious. The feta was creamy and flavorful, and the honey and walnuts added a nice touch. For my main course, I had the griddle cake with strawberries, peanut miso maple syrup, pumpkin seed granola, and Greek yogurt. The griddle cake was perfectly cooked and the toppings were all so flavorful. The strawberries were sweet and juicy, the peanut miso maple syrup was rich and savory, and the pumpkin seed granola added a nice crunch. The service at Butcher & Bee was top-notch. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and was happy to make recommendations. She also made sure that our water glasses were always full. The atmosphere at Butcher & Bee is warm and inviting. The restaurant is located in a charming old building, and the interior is decorated in a modern, rustic style. There is a large open kitchen, so you can watch the chefs prepare your food.Overall, I had an incredible experience at Butcher & Bee Charleston. The food, the service, and the atmosphere were all top-notch. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and memorable brunch experience. Here are some additional details that I would include in my review:I visited on a Saturday morning and there was a wait for a table, but it was only about 15 minutes. The restaurant is located in the Half Mile North development off Brigade Street. There is a parking garage located in the development, or you can park on the street. The restaurant is open for brunch, lunch, and dinner, Tuesday through Sunday. The dress code is casual. The average price for brunch is $25-$35 per person.I would recommend making a reservation, especially for brunch on the weekends

Several in our group have gluten allergies and this restaurant had quite a few options for both food and drinks. Server was friendly and the food was good.

So to start off, I have to say that this place was phenomenal, from the food to the atmosphere and most of all the service. In terms of food I ordered a starter of the salted potatoes which were perfectly seasoned and equally spicy, then the kebab which was amazing in its own way and then to round off the meal I had the brownie sundae which was so flavorful and goey and rich with sweet and honey flavor. I highly recommend those items but I got a chance to try the whipped feta and I would just as much recommend that. The atmosphere and the music fit the place to a t, the decor both inside and outside was inviting and modern as well which was perfect for the location of the restaurant. Finally the service was personally the best part to me, our server Emma was on top of everything the entire time, and was the most peppy and enjoyable part of our experience there, she was very willing to give honest suggestions and asking us on our own preferences to do so. Overall I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a somewhat more "fancy" dining experience, fancy in parentheses as it felt more comfortable and well rounded but also distinctly different.

Had read reviews about this place and we were expecting a really nice meal. Really disappointed. My husband ordered the Smash burger and I ordered the Chicken Schnitzel sandwich. The burger came over cooked and my chicken was fried really hard and dried out. My first thought was, Wendy's chicken sandwich is 10 times better than this and a lot less expensive. The waitress was nice, the ambience was nice but the food was terrible, except for the French fries, they were good. Beer and Cava were good. This place had a James Beard award in 2022.

My husband and I had a delightful lunch on their patio. We shared the hummus bowl and falafel. I finished the meal with a sweet treat: a cinnamon roll and a cappuccino. We loved the quaint and relaxing setting, the food, and the amazing servers!

My husband and I did the chef’s table and it was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences we have ever had anywhere! I loved that the servers explained each dish and what region it came from. We were stuffed when it was all said and done. The service was also great. Wonderful and friendly staff. Will be back!!

This place was great a few weeks ago when I went with a group of 5 adults and three kids the food was very unusual and we enjoyed it however I went back today for brunch food was cold service mediocre and server was just not nice also pricey for what we got .I was with a party of 15 this time the owner was not there at the time he was in Nashville at the other location .Will not be returning there are many other places to choose from in Charleston.

A friend and I enjoyed dinner here. To be totally transparent, it was a complimentary meal that was won through a rewards program.I truly couldn’t have been more impressed. Not only was the food fresh and delicious and innovative, the service was immaculate. Everyone was so kind and accommodating and certainly didn’t treat us like we were getting a free meal.Highly recommend doing the chef’s choice!

Tasty and healthy. Delicious cappuccino! Pita bread and the whipped feta are worth returning for. Staff was friendly and helpful. Cool and relaxed vibe. Yummy, healthy and filling food. They use a mix match of old plates and I found it charming.

Just picked up togo from this place and I enjoyed every bit of it! The staff were super friendly and helpful and the process was quick. Onto the food, the whipped feta was immaculate, I literally could’ve eaten two by myself. We also got the Roast Beef Sandwich and it was great too! Fries are also delish. But the whipped feta was it for me?. The inside and outside seating areas are also so pretty. Can’t wait to come back.Parking: Parking was easy for me (11:45 am) but could see it getting crowded during busy hours.

It’s been awhile since I knew this restaurant as a pop up that took Charleston by storm. Now it’s in a custom made space that suits the restaurant as well as the many loyal customers. There with a good friend who prefers a pescatarian way and mostly I do too. It makes tremendous sense as a life choice as long as the food is this good. Started with Felafel and then a Lions Mane Salad followed by a spicy Avocado Salad that are all local and fresh. Worth the trip and sporting a parking lot without a meter of any sort. Refreshing in so many ways. Do go if you haven’t.

My sister & I were there on a Wednesday night at 8:00 pm. The place was practically empty. Gave a very weird vibe. Service was not particularly good & the food was not good at all. We did get the whipped Feta appetizer that had a good flavor but not good presentation. The drinks were bad ( I ordered a Ketel one Cosmo with fresh lime instead of Roses & they couldn't do that) & the wine list was bad. I do not know how this restaurant has 4 1/2 stars. Every other restaurant we visited in Charleston was awesome. So disappointing.

The food was great. Bacon wrapped dates were hot, chewy, & smokey. The semolina jon cake was light and airy. The chicken schnitzel sandwich was big & juicy, with perfectly seasoned fries. Service at our kitchen counter seats, however, was medium. Our appetizer arrived well before the drinks did, and the wait for the mains was excessively long (the kitchen never received the order for the semolina cake, according to the conversation we clearly overheard between the chef and the server).

Really cool dining experience. I went with my sister and we sat at the chef’s counter- I would recommend this if you get the chance. It was really fun watching the chefs do their thing and even make my food.Everything we ordered was delicious. The bacon wrapped dates and feta dip especially stood out. I also got the roasted broccoli appetizer and the steak as a main. Both were great. We didn’t have room for dessert, but they had a great dessert menu.I look forward to going again. They have a chef’s meal that looked fun, but we decided not to do that as it was our first time. Next time, I’m going to try that. And of course, service was great and super accommodating.

Very unique restaurant! First time here, and we tried the Chefs Choice menu which the restaurant picked what we would eat. Lots of appetizers and two different main courses, with a dessert. There’s nothing really “American” about the food here. In all honesty, most of the menu items we’d never heard of and still don’t know what they are! But it was very unique and something we’d never tried before. Some of it was awesome, some was just not for us. The ambiance was pretty cool and also very unique. The staff were all very nice and attentive, although one of the food runners honestly didn’t know what she was serving. Overall, a pretty cool dining experience that was out of the norm for us. It’s not something we’ll probably go back to try very often because it’s just not our style of food, but please give it a try!
