The food was delicious! I'm only giving it a 4 because the tostones were very dry, which I took care of by dipping them in the black beans. But I do love the spices that they use in the Ropa Vieja, Black Beans and Saffron Rice. I've had my share of authentic Cuban food coming from Florida. The only reason I am giving a 4 stars is because they did not have coffee. A Cuban place without coffee? Really? They guy said the machine was broken but we didn’t even see coffee in the menu.....Parking is difficult and we did not have change and they guy took dimes from the tip bucket so that we could put in the meter. This is the second time I've visited this location. The first time was exceptional and the second was no different. I had the steak and onion sandwich and it was stuffed with perfectly carmalized onions, tender steak. The sandwich was pressed and crispy even after taking it to go and getting to eat it. The prices are reasonable for being in downtown Charleston. I highly recommend this place for lunch!
