We didn't have a reservation but were quickly seated at the bar and was able to order from the menu. The bartender was extremely busy, yet able to give us exceptional service. We had the cream of crab soup which was to die for. The combination plate of scallops, shrimp, and grouper was prepared to perfection and complimented by the house made tartar and cocktail sauces. Can't go wrong at Hank's!

The seafood a la wando was delicious! The only reason I gave 4 stars is due to the portion size. My boyfriend's grouper was very

Stellar menu, impeccable service, and absolutely fantastic preparations. This is the only restaurant I have ever been impressed enough with to make a reservation for the next night before I even finished my meal. Not cheap, but a definite get what you pay for experience. While a little loud on busy nights, it's still easy to recommend for the balance of the experience.

Great food! We happened in here on a Saturday night without a reservation and were able to get a table right away. Our waiter was nice and very knowledgeable regarding the menu. They brought bread while we waited for our food which is always a plus. The food was great, just very expensive.

Read positive reviews online so made reservations. Very disappointed in the food. The She Crab soup was way too salty. My shrimp and grits was not good. The shrimp was small and tough. It was like frozen shrimp from COSTCO. The andouille sausage pieces were hard to find in the dish. Needless to say I left half of my food. My husband’s food was just ok. On a positive note our server was very attentive, and our drinks were good.
Ran out of bread! Chef not at all flexible with substitutions! Server was a bit pompous!Food was good but not outstanding!

Meh...1. Food used to be amazing, now I would say average for an upscale atmosphere like this with average portions and slightly high price tag...seafood a la wando was very good, freid chicken with collards and mash was super basic and not seasoned well.2. Service has always been great...drinks were good but not consistent.3. Final thought…you shouldnt spend $250 and not be impressed, atleast not in this town.

Made a quick day trip to Charleston, this restaurant was highly recommended. Service was spectacular, food was decent. I had the fried chicken. Juicy, crispy with the mash potatoes and collard greens. The greens weren't my favorite. Over cooked and vinegar taste. I also had a great tequila reposado beverage. Yum! I'll definitely be back.

We love Hanks. As locals, it's fun to go to something touristy that's actually excellent. This visit we got the she crab soup, it was delicious. We got the seafood platter and the fried chicken and it was amazing. Service was amazing also! 10/10.
