“It's a nice hipster looking place with indie and alternative music in the background ? the staff is super friendly and you can see that they work as a team and get along ?♂️I tolerate spicy very little and well ? this place has very few menu options and several of them are, guest what? spicy ?️? however the good reviews and photos made us come ? the little I tried from my boyfriend's dish (Pad Kra Pao) it seemed to me that the meat was very well seasoned, and he was fascinated by his dish, the buns we ordered to share were delicious, sweet and soft, both the bun and the meat ?; my greens tasted sooooo good, we were impressed; the Jiao Zi were a surprise, I had never tried that flavor profile and I It seemed very interesting honestly but I also started to burn my mouth our waitress Natalie saw me struggling with water and my ginger beer and brought me ? milk like ❤️ it was the freakin’ sweetest and most considerate gesture on the ? because I knew that it would be spicy and I still took the risk and didn't ask for help but she was watching our table so she noticed it honestly super attentive not only with that but with her whole service during our stay, I am so pleased whenever I get actual quality services, 5 stars for Natalie ⭐️?We were satisfied in our tummies and our hearts ? (and had some leftovers to go ?)“
“I loved the sushi rolls that I had. They were very different and fun. They have a great bar that you can sit at as well.Came back again, sat at the bar. Fantastic old fashion, and he the spicy tuna roll and the surf and turf. Highly recommend the surf and turf.“
“I've been coming here for years and it has never ever been anything short of amazing! Service is always good and food is always delicious ESPECIALLY the sashimi! I will never go anywhere else in SC for sushi. Literally the only downside is finding parking on a busy night, everything else is perfect every time!“
“We got the Red Rose Roll and the Atomic roll. Both were amazing. Also got the bang bang shrimp bowel and substitute hibachi veggies. All the food was excellent. Service was great. Friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Really cool indoor design with cool lighting features. We will be back.“
“The service is great here. Aji is good, better than average. The only real gripe I have is that the quality of food can vary night to night. Sometimes it's really good and then on other nights not so much. Still I do go back as it is a great neighborhood bistro.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome ?“
“Lida was my server and bartender at Fuji! She was amazing and had an inspiring story. She is a struggling college student trying to make ends meet. I appreciated her recommendations, my husband and I split the surf and turf roll and really enjoyed it. The drinks were also delish. I recommend asking for Lida when you are going to check out Fuji!“
“This restaurant is one of the best hibachi restaurants I've eaten at in Charleston. The food is high quality and comes out quickly. It is mainly a take-out type establishment but there is plenty of seating for anyone wanting to eat in.The worker who I assume is the owner is a very nice guy. He looks like he takes pride in his work and is happy doing his job. The food is very tasty, chicken hibachi is much nicer here than any other hibachi I have had elsewhere.“
“We've had kanji many times since we live close by. Employees are always nice.Never had a problem with orders ever!I love the veggie hibachi. Their rice & their white "yum yum" style sauce is super yummy! Matches my taste buds. Not too sweet. Goes really well with their rice.Prices are fine in my opinion. Good portions! We do dine in and take out.Vegetarian options: Veggie bowlsSushi without fish“
“Great food! I got the Maki A platter and my boyfriend got the chicken hibachi. Both portions were good sizes and less expensive than most restaurants in the Charleston area. The food also came out very quickly. Our waitress Dina was new and she was fantastic. So sweet and very attentive to us despite her having other tables and it only being her second day working!“
“I order a teriyaki dinner extra vegetables about twice a week. Every single time the portions are huge, quality food, for an incredible price. I plan to continue being a regular customer. 5 star establishment and a staple of the community. Im hoping you long term success here in West Ashley! ?“
“Great food! Great service! She knows our order as soon as we walk in. We eat there almost 5 times weekly. Just feels like home is brought to me when I eat. It's delicious never bad. Definitely worth every person eating here! I love it!Wheelchair accessibility: Open Floor plan easy mobility for anyone who needs it!“
“Enjoyed lunch here today. Lunch is the way to go. $18.86 after tax, and it’s all you can eat. Gabe was my waiter and he is so polite and helpful. As a person who used to work in food & Bev, I always appreciate servers who enjoy their jobs. I love kings, especially when I need a cheap & filling sushi fix.“
“I want to give 3.5 stars. The food was great. I had a sushi roll and hibachi lunch. I spent $30. Veggies were crispy. Steak was juicyZ not the best hibachi I ever had but great for a quick lunch and pretty good I think. The restaurant needs a deep clean. The bathrooms and floors haven't been cleaned in awhile. That's the only reason I deducted points .“
“Jaings Kitchen is the best on james Island hands down. It used to be called Tokyo Express and it was the only place we would order. They rebranded it to Jaing’s Kitchen but the food is still as good as it has always been, maybe even better now. The food is fresh and flavorful and just the perfect takeout idea that brought you here to this google review. Enjoy!“
“We got the dinner for 2 and it came with a bunch of incredible food. The variety and flavor were both phenomenal. It came with fried dumplings, 6 samplings of Korean side dishes, one of which was kimchi, japchae (a stir fry of noodles and vegetables), two bowls of rice, and a platter with 3 meats: marinated beef, chicken, and spicy pork. The kimchi was some of the best I’ve had in a while. I’d like to say which meat was my favorite of the three, but it’s difficult. The beef had a sweet flavor and fell apart in my mouth. The spicy pork had a great level of spice. The chicken was tender and succulent because they used thigh meat. The japchae was possibly the best I’ve had in the US; it was pretty sweet but really good. The staff were helpful and kind. We would definitely eat here again if the opportunity presented itself. I would have added a photo, but we had it halfway destroyed before we even thought to take one.“
“The absolute height of food in the area and the only Chinese worth getting in WA.It's small, unassuming, and discretly tucked into a strip mall, but it is absolutely worth your time.We had a bunch of sushi rolls, a teriyaki chicken, and a Mongolian beef bowl...multiple times...multiple days...in a row. Each time was perfect and felt better than the last! I loved it so much that I got some for a flight out of Charleston as my in-flight meal. All the food is served in to-go containers, but they could serve this masterpiece in a trash can, and it would still be great.Recommended highly!“
“This is and has been my go to sushi place in Charleston ever since they opened! If you are truly looking for good sushi and not concerned for some fancy atmosphere, this is the place. The sushi always tastes very fresh, large portions of fish and not overwhelmed by too much rice. Rice is always cooked to perfection never dry. Tuna always has a beautiful deep red color. I get the sushi lunch special often and you can’t beat it! The hibachi is amazing as well. This place is truly a gem. Only word of caution is there is not much dine in space however now that the pandemic is over, they do have some table and chairs and seats at the sushi bar if you’d like to dine in. Food is always ready on time and very clean. They all work very hard. I sent my husband here immediately after I gave birth to my son at MUSC because it was the thing I craved the most!“
“Best Hibachi in town. It’s not a sit down place, kind of looks a little sketchy from outside. Prices are fair, especially for Charleston. Plenty of food, and some for leftovers. I like that they don’t load up a bunch of onions and you actually get a decent amount of zucchini, broccoli, and mushrooms.“
“Shi Ki (4 seasons in Japanese) is our four season go-to place for sushi and other Japanese specialties. The lunch bento box is a bargain for what you get; a protein in cooked shredded cabbage, a scoop of rice, a small spring roll, a goodly portion of salad, and for dessert a half orange (very sweet). Price begins at about $11. In today's world it's a good price for the quality. The interior is small, so reservations are recommended. The ambiance is light, open, and decorated with Japanese themes. We think it truly five star.Parking: Shi Ki is in a small shopping center with parking but it is often tight for parking.“
