We went to Le Farfalle to celebrate a birthday. We all had an amazing time. Our hostess Julie was very attentive, informative and friendly. The manager, Jordan was also very hospitable, friendly and engaging. The type of quality service and attention we received today, alone, will have us returning to eat here…. not to mention the awesome food. We had the whipped ricotta and honey along with Fresh made bread which was to die for along with the Octopus carpaccio which was heavenly. For my entree I ordered the squid ink pasta and shrimp which blew me away. So Delicious! The vibe of a restaurant and it’s workers is so important and this had a great atmosphere! Looking forward to returning.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Le Farfalle! Food was delicious from start to finish! Atmosphere was inviting. Service prompt. Staff welcoming and friendly. One of the owners greeted us at the end of our meal to see how everything was and even offered us limoncello on the house which we enjoyed very much as well as the kind gesture! Highly recommmend booking your next reservation at Le Farfalle!

Best Italian food I've had in years. The artichoke appetizer is amazing. The chicken parm is huge.

BRB CRYING at how delicious this food was. I am from NJ/NY area and thought I was INSANE to be getting Italian in Charleston. This place is the real deal. The vibe is amazing for dinner - great ambiance. The rosemary focaccia was soooooo simple and delicious. The rigatoni verde & bucatini were freaking fantastic. Prices were incredibly reasonable. This is a must visit restaurant when you're in Charleston! Highly highly recommend.

Hope server was new as she could not deliver on service! Ordered several courses and how we wanted to receive them - order - and waitress repeated everything but one first course never came, salads were delivered with main courses and she never acknowledged the errors. Have been coming here for years but think they possibly don't have enough help, or good enough help post Covid. Need to change menu desperately! My salad was inedible due to too much dressing! The bolognese pasta was served on pesto pasta??? Really disappointing food!

Hubs and I were in the mood for Italian and I was able to get a last minute reservation here the evening prior. We have had some awesome food during our trip to Charleston and this dinner definitely takes the cake. The restaurant is so quaint inside with a romantic feel. The service was spectacular the entire way through, too, which made the experience so much better. The food was to die for. I would come back here in a second and I will absolutely re-visit this gem every single time I am in Charleston moving forward. We ordered the following: Braised Artichokes ($16) Warm Rosemary Focaccia ($8) Fusilli Lunghi ($21) Coriander Crusted Duck Breast ($32) Crispy Potato Vinaigrette ($10) Marsala Jus ($2) We started with the focaccia and the artichokes. Highly recommend both. I ended up using some of the focaccia to clean the artichoke dish and it was spectacular. The focaccia needed some salt, but I asked for some and with a light sprinkle it was perfect. The focaccia itself was cooked so perfectly and had a great flavor. I love the the accompaniments. We also ordered the meatballs, but they did not show up so we did not get to try them. I had the cacio e pepe and it was superb. I loved the bite of the pasta and the complexity of the shape. It looked like a very small portion when it was dropped off but the size was misleading. It was so filling I was absolutely satisfied once I'd finished. I mean obviously I wish I had more - but it was definitely enough food. Hubs got the duck breast, potatoes, and the jus. He loved all of them. I tried the potatoes and even dunked one in the jus. They were so flavorful. We didn't have room for dessert but we took the carrot cake and the cookies to-go. All of their desserts are made in house so I am sure they are great considering how everything else tasted. The one thing that was odd - I was charged for a club soda which I order everywhere and have never ever been charged before. I was only annoyed because my club soda glass sat empty for the majority of my meal. My water was constantly being refilled so I was not thirsty, but had I known I was paying for club soda I would have made it a point to ask for refills. Really nitpicking at this point. Our dinner and the entire evening was beautiful and we will absolutely be back. I highly highly recommend trying La Farfalle the next time you are in Charleston you will be in for a treat! Who knows, maybe we will run into each other!

It was hands down the best Italian. It had the cutest vibe. We sat the bar. Staff was super nice. Food was 10/10. My favorite was the Caesar salad and the focaccia bread.

What stopped me from giving our experience a 5 was the service. Our server was a bit abrupt, unfriendly and made us feel rushed. The agnolotti with duck confit was heaven along with the braised artichokes. The folks in my party enjoyed their chicken parmesan and fusilli lunghi. I would go back and sit at the bar.

So happy we choose this place for a bachelorette party dinner! The server and manager were so helpful assisting with picking our and surprising the bride with some champagne for me. The food was UNREAL - the salted Focaccia and crab pasta were so good! Will definitely return on my next visit!

Spectacular evening, beginning to end! Our server, Thomas, was amazing, made perfect suggestions, described everything exactly as it was, and was always there right on time for everything! Cocktails Afterglow and Hemingway's Last Word we're both interesting and flavorful. Appetizers octopus carpaccio and braised artichoke were both delicious; the artichoke in particular was unlike anything we've ever eaten anywhere! Dinner was fusilli lunghi (much like a pici pasta from Sienna) with a nice, heavy sauce, and fideos, uniquely Charleston with tons of blue crab, basil, onions, tomatoes and a toasted pasta, which we've never had anywhere. Dessert was a chocolate cake which was very rich and decadent, and an amazing sponge cake with berries and a chantilly cream that was spectacular, and a couple of doubles espressos. The most authentic Italian restaurant we've eaten at in the US, with a Charleston twist. We can't wait to return!

We were unimpressed by our experience here. First they gave us a table at the bar inspite of us having a reservation to celebrate our anniversary which was not even acknowledged. However one of the friendly servers moved us at our request. The food, in our opinion, was okay but nothing special. We had high expectations for the food based on the reviews and our experience did not live up to it. Nothing was bad but equally nothing we ordered was memorable. Service was very good and we were not rushed at all.

The manager is a liar! We arrived at 5 to sit in the patio because we wanted to sit outside (reservations are inside only)and it's first come- but it was closed due to construction next door. Get it, fine. We were told they were completely full with reservation but we could sit at the bar. I asked if we could sit at the bar tables because my friend walks with a cane and was told those were reservation too. I asked if she could keep us in mind in case of a cancelation and she said she personally called each reservation and no one was cancelling or would be last minute cancelling (because she could know this?). We decided to make the best of it and sat at the bar. Guess what liar pants manager, those tables sat EMPTY staring at us the whole night! So I asked her, well looks like we could have sat there before your reservations even showed. She then said they were "full for the areas they intended to have open". Oh so your not full, the bar tables are closed, liar! Or did you realize how stupid that would make you look while watching a disabled person struggle into a bar stool! We could have sat at a normal table and ordered and grabbed our drinks at the bar, no big deal. If your short staffed say so, people can understand that, don't lie about it! Be accommodating!! How were we to know the patio was closed! When a large area of the walk up seating is closed, you should have a back up plan! Don't be such a snot! I think you like feeling so special your restaurant is so full. Well yes, when you only seat half of it, it's full! I would be super pissed if I were the owner and my restaurant was so poorly run and half empty. It's too bad, I've been coming there since Vic's but I'll not be back due to the manager's poor behavior. Chloe at the bar was the saving grace, amazing and the reason for the 3 stars.

We went to Le Farfalle for my birthday, and it was absolutely amazing. They made everything so special for us and all of the food we ordered was to die for. We had the Caesar salad, fresh focaccia, chicken parm, and squid ink shrimp pasta. Don't sleep on the cocktails, as they were just as exquisite as the food! Favorite meal I've ever had. I can't say enough good things.

One of the best meals I’ve had in Charleston. We went in for a Monday night dinner with no reservation and we’re kindly seated right away at a high top. Our server was extremely attentive and gave great recommendations. We had the whipped ricotta and focaccia for appetizers, both of which were great. I had the linguine with clams for my appetizer which was so fresh and amazing. Highly recommend a stop at le farfalle, as downtown Charleston is expensive in general I would categorize the price as $$-$$$ rather than $$$$
