Great neighborhood spot out of the touristy downtown. Perfect fried chicken, great fried clam strips and delicious Thai salad. When a tourist, eat where the locals eat!

Leon’s is a must stop for lunch & dinner in Charleston. Drinks and roasted oysters to start. Yummy fried seafood selection. Fried shrimp/oyster Po’Boy. Delicious fried chicken.Order all the sides. Love sharing the meal. Leave room for Milkshakes to finish!!!Parking: Leon’s has free parking lot block before the restaurantWheelchair accessibility: Restaurant is on street level
Incredible fried chicken. Must ask for the side of ranch. Grilled oysters were really good. Made me want to try the raw. Skip the peas and go for the potatoes even if it's something you can get elsewhere.

Leon's was recommended to us by several people. We had to Uber from our downtown hotel location and it was so worth it! It's an old gas station and has an outdoor indoor vibe that is just plain old fun. The food was amazing, I had the fried oyster roll and they have plenty of fried chicken options and great drink specials. Our one knock is that the drink specials and beer pours are very small, maybe like 6 ounces. The best is to get a picture of PBR for dinner. That said, we love the atmosphere and the service and would highly recommend Leon's.

Leon's is always packed so make a reservation. The food is delicious, servers are good. There's a patio out back and in the front. Parking down the block - but you're not always able to find a spot so plan ahead. Comfy vibe. Can get loud.
