Our best night out in Charleston. The food and service were excellent. I had the Grouper over succotash and it was perfect. He has shrimp and grits. Not your traditional method of serving them. It very good. Only comment was they could be a bit spicier. Portion size was great. A glass of wine is a very generous pour. Overall a wonderful evening.
Dined at Revival this weekend with my 3 sisters, visiting Charleston to celebrate a birthday and it was amazing. We loved the entire experience - the atmosphere, the food, especially the Low Country Pirlou. Dylan was our server and he was excellent! Revival will be my first choice on my next trip to Charleston!
Recently dined at Revival for a friends birthday and had an amazing experience at Revival. Food was great; standout was the She Crab soup which was full of lump crab meat and the seafood fried rice which was a special for the night. Tori, our server was fantastic: equal parts attentive and friendly ;she even helped us find a after dinner spot to continue the celebration! Would definitely recommend and come back again
She-Crab Soup to start for both of us -- it's a delight in Charleston to try the She-Crab soup varieties around town -- Revival did not disappoint. Entrees were Pan-Seared Grouper and Low-Country Pirlou -- both excellent! Finished off with a delightful flourless chocolate torte.
Business dinner with friend. The first impression was mixed. The decor is modern and beautiful, but there is a smell like mold that is quite prevalent. If it was a hotel room I wouldn’t stay. We stayed, and the meal was wonderful. It might be the best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had! Our server Tony was sweet. Please get the source of the moldy smell fixed and I’d love to come back.
Exceptional attention to flavors and textures. It was Restaurant week so the chef's menu had a prix fixe 3 course dinner. Ample portions, attention to detail in everything. SHE CRAB SOUP richly flavored. not heavy OSSO BUCO with buttery, fluffy, creamy ANSON MILLS GRITS. Wow. PECAN BREAD PUDDING with a perfect caramel glaze. Garnished with a scoop of what looked like vanilla bean ice cream but tasted like the best ever rice pudding. Surprise! GO. What are you waiting for?
We had a wonderful experience at revival! We went for restaurant week and each did the wine pairings. Each dish was great, as was the service!
Great restaurant! It's a shame we no longer live nearby. Definitely always visit when we're in town.
This past Thursday my boyfriend and I shared a wonderful experience at Revival. We have both been living in Charleston for four plus years now but last night we were first timers at this establishment. Our bartender, James was so sweet. He had great energy and was extremely personable. He knew a lot about the menu (both cocktail and dinner) and offered great suggestions to us. 10/10 service. We already cant wait to go back!
This past Sunday my wife and I had the pleasure of visiting Revival. We had been meaning to dine there after hearing good things from our friends and we are so glad we decided to try it! The food was delicious, I had the forbidden shrimp and grits which was a delightful twist on a classic Charleston dish. We also really enjoyed the cocktails, each one was complex and interesting. And to top off the great food we also had great service from our server Max, he made the evening truly enjoyable with his friendly and attentive service. We will definitely be back.
We are staying at The Vendue so we thought we would try the in-house restaurant. It exceeded our expectations! The She Crab soup, beet salad, and the Grouper meal were all delicious! Our server was James and he was terrific! An exceptional evening in Charleston.
Awful food and service. Catch of the day / special was scallops which consisted of three small scallops that weren't cleaned (E.g. sand!). Salad was completely wilted. Burger was not fresh. Potatoes were greasy. Awful. Stay away.
The food was impeccable and incredibly fresh; best she crab soup in Charleston,The duck confit and pirlou was simply Devine. The service was amazing, Jeremy went above and beyond to ensure we fully enjoyed our celebration.
Can't say enough. Simple, elegant, modern vibe. Service on point. Drinks amazing. Grouper w/ tomato gravy so good. When we got the fingerling potatoes I thought 'how in the world can we eat all of those potatoes', but it wasn't long till I thought 'where did that last potato go? I need more potatoes!' it is a hidden gem in plain sight.
