Greens were a little salty. Broccoli salad was so good. The trout was crazy good. This was my first time going and it won't be my last. I loved the cornbread, too. This was a real southern experience. Perfect for Charleston. I want to try the bread pudding.Parking: There was plenty of available space but we arrived a little late. The lot is a little tight. Of the restaurant had been full it would be packed.

What a wonderful surprise. The Glass Onion is a small unpretentious restaurant that just happened to be on our way through Charleston. The reviews looked great so we had our Valentine's Day dinner there. The place is very casual, a plus in my book. The service was very good, but the food was just amazing. The pork belly was just delicious and my wife loved the trout and collard greens. Don't miss this place.

So good we came back 2 days later to do it again! Fantastic and friendly food, drinks, and service. Shrimp and grits was the standout dish but we liked everything we tried on both occasions. The whiskey sour also should not be missed. Super friendly atmosphere with great folks working there. Prices were incredibly reasonable for both food and drinks.

This is a good place. The food seemed fresh and homemade. The menu had a lot of options, but didn’t really have a theme. I would recommend for lunch and to have a good tasting fresh plate.Nothing over the top about this place, but also nothing to really dislike.

Advertised as soul food. I had a deep-fried chicken sandwich that I didn't like. The.3 0ther members of the party thought the food was OK but would not go back. This is a place for the wannabe redneck. The cosmopolitan I had was not good. The service was Inpeciable.

Fantastic experience, everything was phenomenal!!!!
We had the beet salad, fried shrimp with coleslaw and mashed potatoes, mountain trout with potatoes creamed Brussel sprout, bread pudding and key lime pie. Everything was delicious. Ordered the field peas which are really black eyed peas, but it was too salty, so exchanged it for coleslaw with the shrimp. Looked at the cookbook and decided to buy it.
