Dukes is a unique place, and I mean that in a good way. He's open when he's open and closed when he is closed. It's a no nonsense place to eat that makes you feel like you went to eat at your uncle's house. Not a place to eat if you get offended at every little thing, but great to go to if you just want a decent no frills meal at a good price.

The grits had what taste like to me cheddar cheese and sausage. We didn't care for them. The gravy was on the sweet side. They need just buttered grits. My scrambled egg and toast and coffee were just right. Very very nice people.
