“Food was amazing. Service was wonderful, young people with a genuine interest in your enjoyment. Their English was not the best, which is the best way to tell how good your food will be in my opinion. I learned the Spanish word for shrimp and that's awesome. Really enjoyed all the artwork depicting Frida Kahlo. Did not realize the place was named for her! Highly recommend. Yum.“
“My boyfriend and I went for dinner and neither of us had heard about it before. I totally agree with a previous comment.. truly a hidden gem. Service was super friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. The only problem was deciding what to eat. I ordered the peach tres leches for dessert to go as well, I love this dessert, I make it at home with different variations. My first time having the peach version...my boyfriend does not like peaches... but he actually loved this dessert..and it was his first tres leches! It is now his favorite cake! Will definitely be going back.“
“Mexican food is my favorite. And good true Mexican food is mostly found in food trucks. Owned and operated by Mexicans. I am from south Florida and down there is a lot of competition. But around this area it is hard to find. This place has really good food. I've been twice and have tried the al pastor(pork tacos, tamales and my new favorite the empanada.(steak and cheese). The owners are very friendly and service is good. They do have a portion of the building to dine in but prefer to cook in the food truck. They make great tamales but if you want them better get there early because they sell out pretty quick. Thanks for reading.“
“I was really impressed with this restaurant. It reminded me of a 50s diner which was comfortable and had a lot of seating. We were there after the lunch rush so there weren't a lot of people and the service was impeccably fast! I had their popular Texas ACP which was shrimp, steak and chicken over Spanish rice and then topped with their white cheese sauce! It was delicious and fresh. The shrimp had a nice snap to them and not overcooked! I liked the cheese sauce but would order it on the side next time because it was too much for me. Bonus is that this was the special of the day so it was $1 less than the menu price! The salsa brought to the table with chips was my favorite, but the salsa's at the bar were excellent too. Gotta love salsa bars! Will definitely go back to try other dishes in the future, yum!!“
“I love the food here. Everything I have ever ordered has been delicious. Wait times can get kinda crazy during peak hours, between dine-ins and DoorDashers picking up orders... but the food is definitely worth the wait. I think they just need more help during the dinner rush to improve their service. I've gotten most of my orders as either Take Out or Delivery.“
“My first time trying this quaint but cozy restaurant. It's a bit loud when the dining area is full. The service was pretty quick and friendly servers. I ordered the three tacos with beans and rice special. I enjoyed the shredded beef taco, flavored well and tender. The chicken taco had no seasoning and was bland. The carne asada was tough and chewy but good flavor. Rice and beans were fine. I may give this place a second visit and try another dish.“
