“Seated after about a 35 minute wait at happy hour, and it was well worth it. The cheddar hushpuppies, oysters and atmosphere are like none other in Greenville. Wait staff was outstanding and very attentive to us in every way, treating us like regulars. It was neat seated in front of the shucker, watching his hard work, and even sharing conversation with him. I look forward to returning for more great food!“
“This is a gem in Greenville. They serve freshly made pastas and have an extensive wine menu. This isn't the typical Italian restaurant with 3 pastas and a red and white sauce. This is elevated but not in a weird, stuffy way. It's a lively atmosphere with good food and amazing service. It's definitely worth a visit and if the weather is good the seats on the balcony are a great spot for dinner with a view.“
“I love Sobys and always have a great time and enjoy the food . Everything went great , we had reservations for 4 , the food was excellent as always, I had the fried chicken with honey sauce and it was so tender and cooked perfectly and I tried a fried green tomato and a crab cake and they were delicious too and for desert I shared a white chocolate banana cream pie , so good !“
“I absolutely love it!! I was looking for a meat market for my family and i found it!! They even have the $45,$65, and up on boxes of meat!! They have some lovely crab legs and oxtails i can not wait to cook!!! My husband will have the meat sweats!! Oh, did I mention the seasonings? My husband spent $45 on the different seasonings alone“
“A great restaurant to have in Greenville! I will be honest the food isn't quite on the level of New Orleans, or out on the Bayou, however, for being in Greenville expect a decent representation of Cajun food. Service is great and location is really good. Overall, a great experience!“
“Cierra waited on us. She was pleasant, friendly and cute as a button. Took excellent care of us. The spicy chicken soup is the best thing ever!Vegetarian options: Plenty of meatless optionsDietary restrictions: Vegan and gluten optionsParking: AmpleWheelchair accessibility: Easy access“
“I'm originally from south Florida where there's a plethora of great Korean food so I was hesitant to go here. We went on a Tuesday afternoon and there was only one other table. This restaurant is different from other kbbq, you order your meat and they cook it for you which is great for those who don't like having to cook your own food. A typical Korean bbq restaurant there's a grill on every table and you cook your own meat. With the all you can eat option you eat unlimited meat, side dishes, rice, cheesy corn and soup! Everything came out piping hot and fast. The side dishes were super tasty my favorite was the bean sprouts. Service was super fast. Restaurant is very clean has nice kpop music playing in the back. It ended up being around $50 a person with a soft a drink. I can't wait to come back here!“
“Nice new addition to the Eastside of GVL! Really enjoyed the focaccia bread with spreads appetizer - so good. I tried a mocktail the bartender created that was very good and not too sweet. The burger was very good and flavorful, as well. The fries weren't anything exciting but they were French fries so they did the job. The oysters were good - not the best I've had in the area but the flavor was good especially with the jus to pour over them. The service was a bit lacking on my visit and drink refills were pretty slow but it may have just been an off night, which happens!! The overall vibe and ambience was casual and contemporary but still had an upscale feel. Definitely enjoyed overall and would return to try lunch options!“
“Went with a friend who got us reservations at the bar, which you'd want to have on a Friday night. Bartender was amazing- very knowledgeable about the drinks and menu, both of which rotate fairly often apparently. We nibbled our way through oysters, the ceviche, and octopus. It was all really good. It will definitely be on my list of places to visit again with or without friends!“
“Nice atmosphere, good food, not your typical Mexican menu, which is a nice change. The service was very friendly, my only reason for giving 4 stars is just that it’s fairly high prices for what you’re getting. We also did get charged extra for something that we didn’t realize was an upgrade, even though we were asked if it was our first time. All in all, though, definitely a nice experience with good food, we will keep it in mind for future eating out nights!“
“Chophouse 47 has contacted me and has made every possible effort to reconcile my complaint. I have changed my review to 5 stars. The problem has been resolved. Thanks Chophoust 47, you are still my favorite place to dine!!My wife and I celebrated our 40th anniversary March 3, 2024 at Chophouse 47, our favorite restaurant. Unfortunately, my steak, bone in ribeye, had so much gristle that I could not chew the majority of my steak. I carried half of it home , only to find threads of gristle in the meat. I threw it away. My wife enjoyed her meal. She had the petite filet, it was perfect. We enjoyed the evening but we were greatly disappointed in the ribeye.“
“Best food and dining experience we have had in a very long time. Portions are very generous, presentation was excellent, and food was delicious. Jeff, our waiter was very knowledgeable and attentive. We will definitely be visiting again the next time we are passing through Greenville.“
“Enjoyed this quaint, Old World restaurant. My husband and I were here on Monday, 2/12. Paul had seafood cakes, which were very good. I had the Oyster Stew, not as good as mom's was, but definitely a close second. Our server, Sophie, was wonderful. Will definitely return.“
“We came for lunch and ordered the veg/meat combo buffet platters. We loved the variety of choices. We noticed only three staff members were working front of the house and it seemed they were a smidge overwhelmed with the number of patrons but they did their best. The food was great and we're excited to return!“
“Having lived in Hawaii for 7 years, Poke Bros. is a delight to have nearby. If you are interested in eating clean in a place that is clean with people who are obviously clean, this is it?Having just returned from international travel, eating all kinds of new and sometimes unique food, the coming back to Poke Bros. was indeed a joy. Thank you so much for providing a place a delicious and delightful food.“
“I stopped in to this little hole in the wall restaurant on my way down to Florida from New York. I had 1 of the specials. My waitress Anna was superb, far better than most who have been in the business for as long as she's been alive. Anna definitely deserves a promotion and a raise. The rest of the staff was very friendly and welcoming. I definitely got cozy, at home with family vibes from the place itself. The food tasted amazing and would definitely recommend this place to anyone as there's things for spice lovers and comfort food lovers alike. The swamp salt at the table is a wonderful medium spicy addition to any meal. I gave the food 4 stars because I had ordered my food with pasta but received rice which was promptly corrected. Also I would recommend that the kitchen use chopped parsley (dried or fresh) or chives as a light garnish to dress up the plates. Overall, this restaurant is a phenomenal place to eat.“
“I love this place. Went for the first time and ready to go back. Food was great and so was everyone else that was around us. Well at least it looked good. That's why I want to go back because all the other dishes we seen looked so good. My only complain is the server. Was good at the beginning and the middle but at the end he was no where to be found to get our check. Had to ask someone else to go find him. But other than that great place“
“Had the pleasure of going here on Tuesday night (26/03/2024) with my boyfriend and his Dad. I got the chicken red Thai curry, my boyfriend got the fried cashew Thai style and his Dad got something with seafood and basil.... it was difficult to choose as there were so many options I wanted to try. Our server for the night was Annelle ( I hope I have spelled that correctly) and she was fantastic, really attentive and friendly, nothing was a problem for her, just wonderful. The food itself was really delicious and the portions were very generous and we got what we couldn't finish to takeaway so we could enjoy the rest at home.... which was just as well as I got to try the fried cashew Thai style as well and it too was really delicious ...... the venue itself was lovely and the toilet spotless, I will be back at least once more... but hopefully more than that and I am already looking forward to it!“
“Love this place. A hidden gem, depending on your tastes. I'm from Asheville and I know good food. My folks live in Greenville and we stumbled across this restaurant one night and have been back 3 times since. I recommend the cajun seafood boil. Snow crab, jumbo shrimp, potatoes and corn and a pretty big lobster tail! Deliciousness!!! They also know how to do fresh, authentic, Chinese. Happy Family for me. Even the French fries are great here. Do NOT be afraid of the empty restaurant when you arrive. The woman running the place will cater to you like you are the only table in the restaurant. And, you just may be!“
“Shuckin' Shack Oyster Bar on Pelham Road in Greenville, South Carolina is a hidden gem, my friends! Let me tell you, this place is shuckin' amazing, and it's not just because of the shucking oysters. From the moment you step foot in this joint, you're greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere that feels like a big ol' hug from your favorite uncle. Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the oysters. These bad boys are so fresh, you'd think they were plucked right out of the ocean and placed delicately on your plate. They're shuckin' fantastic! Whether you prefer 'em raw, grilled, or fried, Shuckin' Shack knows how to do 'em justice. You can even mix it up with their oyster shooters, which are like little flavor bombs that explode in your mouth. Just make sure you don't accidentally shoot one across the room and start an oyster war!But hold on, folks, that's not all they've got to offer. Shuckin' Shack also serves up some mouthwatering seafood dishes that'll have you swimming in flavor. Their shrimp boils are a thing of beauty, with plump and juicy shrimp, tender corn, and potatoes that are cooked to perfection. And let's not forget about their crab legs! They're like the heavyweight champions of the sea, and cracking into those bad boys is a true test of strength and determination. Just be careful not to spray crab juice all over your fancy attire, unless you want to start a new fashion trend! And here's a little twist for you, my friends. Shuckin' Shack isn't just about the food, it's about the experience. The staff here is as friendly as can be, treating you like part of the family. They'll crack jokes, tell stories, and make you feel right at home. It's like having a corny, joke-telling father figure who always keeps the mood light and the laughter flowing. Just be prepared for a few eye-rolls and groans, but hey, that's what makes it fun!So, if you're looking for a place to satisfy your seafood cravings and have a great time, head on over to Shuckin' Shack Oyster Bar on Pelham Road. It's a shuckin' awesome spot with delicious food, friendly folks, and an atmosphere that'll make you feel like you're at a big family gathering. I guarantee you won't leave disappointed, my friends. Now, go get your shuck on! They do 1.75 chargrilled oysters on Sundays, and that's a good shuckin deal“
“Beautiful restaurant in Greenville. Enjoyed my wife and I Anniversary meal today. Below you will see the menu and our two entrees. First and foremost…get the Italian Nachos for an appetizer or for your meal. You will not be disappointed…it is very good and delicious. First entree was the Piccata style house favorite and second was the Sinatra Style. Both were great. Service was quick and professional, nice atmosphere as well. I also need to add a special touch they have. Dominican Republic hand rolled cigars for purchase.“
“Transplant to Greenville from a region close to the ocean and fresh seafood. We have been searching for a market that meets our standards as my family is full of seafood enthusiasts. I am delighted to give Joe Joe’s 5 stars for their freshness and selection that is unmatched in the area. Highly recommend the flounder, salmon and tuna verities. Fresh fish as good if not better than our favorite market in NJ“
“Upon perusing the menu, it was evident that Chun Chun prides itself on offering an authentic culinary experience. With a diverse array of Korean and Chinese dishes to choose from, my family and I found ourselves immersed in a world of delectable options.“
“My husband and I frequent Coral for pretty much every special occasion! The food is always delicious. Today I tried their special of soft shell crab and it did not disappoint! The saltiness of the fried crab and the bright notes of the arugula citrus salad complimented each other so well. I’ve had the halibut several times and the combination of all the flavors really hits the spot. The scallops are so good my husband gets it almost every time.Every dessert we’ve had has been delicious. The chocolate mouse is one of our favorites. The textures play together beautifully. It’s also such a nice touch they give you a few chocolates for special occasions.Their food chefs and pastry chefs are out of this world. Excellent job to all of them!As far as service goes, they outshine any restaurant I’ve ever been to. It’s clear there’s a lot of training that goes in to the way everything runs so smoothly. Every waiter/ess we’ve had has been extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I also think it’s very impressive that the managers/owners maybe? are always willing to help with tasks like clearing dishes and taking drink orders. The teamwork of the staff is impecable, and our food has also always come out very quickly. The ambiance is very nice. The lighting is at a good level where you can see each other but it’s also dimmed to where it feels like a nicer restaurant. It is on the louder side in the dining room but not to the point where you can’t have a conversation. I also really like the decor! If I had one small constructive criticism it would be that I would love to see some rotating specials as far as drinks go. While their cocktail options are good, to my knowledge the menu hasn’t really changed. Some seasonal drinks would be fun!All in all, favorite restaurant in Greenville! We recommend it to all our family and friends whenever we get the chance!“
