“This little gem is just that. Easily missed but highly recommended. Food and margaritas are delicious. Service is good but has changed. Most don't speak English well so you have to repeat your order and ensure its correct on payment. Mine wasnt. They are very strict on alcohol consumption rules despite selling it/carding everyone. Manager watches every move you make if you dine outside. I assume he's worried about you leaving with the drink. This has been consistent x 4 years. So, hope for table inside or just get food to go if that makes you uncomfortable. A bit pricier now for a party of 4 but offer happy hr specials. 4 people cost me $107 with 1 margarita. At least everything is cooked in front of you and fresh off the grill. Overall, I took away a star for the current changes to staff, service and pricing but still a must-go.“
“Hidden Gem Alert!!! I found this place thanks to Yelp. I saw all the wonderful reviews and I had to go. When I first walked in, I couldn't believe how insanely clean this restaurant was. There was a girl cleaning everything. If something fell on the floor, I would honestly probably pick it up and eat it because that's how confident I felt their cleaning was lol. They have a salsa bar which is a plus! We got a few items and my favorite was the gringo burrito. There are plenty of tables inside and outside and they have a generous parking lot. They weren't super busy for dinner but I'm pretty sure they get packed for lunch!“
“I was in town visiting from Arizona and was craving some Mexican food and with a quick search this place popped up first and I’m so glad it did. The service was fantastic and the restaurant was the cleanest restaurant I’ve ever been to. I couldn’t believe how friendly everyone was. The burrito I had was incredible and tasted so fresh. The salsa bar and complimentary chips and salsa was also a happy surprise. As an Arizonan who knows good Mexican food I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in town.“
“Kyler made a rainy night out on the pretty deck a lot of fun! Exceptional server who should be a manager!! Jackie was very kind to us as she worked the puzzle of seating well on a busy night.Arcadio was an amazing guitar player and we were so sad rain cut his playing short. Drinks were fantastic !The food here is great and served hot but our favorite was the dessert sopapillas which you usually can only find in Colorado and New Mexico!“
“Pretty cool place. It’s decorated nicely with lots of cool art. We sat outside on the lower patio because that’s the only place you can get the Happy Hour menu which is weird to me. Cant get it inside or even on the upper patio, only lower patio and the bar. The prices for Happy Hour were pretty good. $8.50 for a margarita, $6.95 for nachos and other appetizers. The food was all delicious and came out nice and hot. Our waiter was very attentive and super kind. Overall a good place, but nothing too special. Would recommend trying it because this is just my opinion and others could like it!!“
“Gabriel was by far one of the nicest person I’ve ever had when I was there grabbing lunch/dinner with my wife. Service was superb and the margaritas were even better!!! Def recommend Gabriel whenever dropping in for a bite to eat or just a margarita!! Will be back because of the great service I received.“
“Cabritos was AMAZING! Possibly the most authentic Mexican food I've had since I was in Mexico City eating street tacos. We had the taco and quesadilla platters, and both were exceptional. The condiments (chopped onions, mango and sauces) really added to the flavor of the dishes. This is a bit of a large "hole-in-the-wall", with authentic decor, and a small stage for a band. There is a bit of a sports bar thing happening, but I'd bet it's going to be football (soccer), all the time. Overall a very good value (stuff is kind of expensive on HHI), and really, the food here is so much better than most places we've been (and they were all pretty good). IMO, this is the best food I have had here in 5 or 6 trips. I cannot believe it hasn't been reviewed here before.“
“The food was so fresh and delicious!! Beautifully presented a well. If we ever find ourselves in the area again, we will definitely go back. We ordered water (because drinks are too expensive everywhere), we were given bottled water with the offer of a glass of ice. They did not charge for the waters.“
“I definitely recommend stopping by here and trying out them for lunch or dinner! I went at dinner time and they had live music and it was just so much fun! The atmosphere was so incredible! Everyone was having such a great time and everyone is soooo friendly there. The owner even stopped by my table to check in on our dinner! I absolutely loved that! The positive vibes and energy is always a plus when looking for a restaurant to eat at! Keep up the good work!! ❤️ Can't wait to go back!“
“We ate here for the first time during our most recent trip to Sea Pines. If you’re staying in Sea Pines, I would highly recommend you bike over to Chow Daddy’s for dinner. It’s a smaller restaurant but they were able to seat our family of five right away, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Crayons for the kids, a nice drink section, and plenty of out-of-the-ordinary taco and burger options. It ended up being one our favorite dinners on vacation!“
“When we sat down we were given luncheon menu because we came for lunch. We took our time talking before ordering except for drinks and must have been a few min. past lunch when we ordered food. To our surprise, we were charged dinner prices when we got our bill. Wasn't too happy about that.“
“This is a great place to go very authentic Mexican high quality of ingredients etc. We had a Veggie Burrito and a Octopus Cocktail delicious. We sat at the bar an Rachel was our server and bartender very courteous, kind and attentive.Prices on every item was very reasonable. Definitely will be back!“
“Food was great and the service was fast. Its a small cozy restaurant, they also offer outside seating and plenty of parking. Prices were decent. We had a lot of food but totally forgot to take pics so my pics are what we had left over, pinto beans, rice and salsa. The asada tacos were amazing and fajitas were amazing. Lots of food on the fajitas. Cheese dip was good too. Overall we had a good experience.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu“
