We have been eating here 15+ years and after the last 2-3 experiences we are completely done. Everything went downhill during Covid and it just continues to get worse and worse. The online app has “extra” listed, so I ordered a $3 side of noodles for my child (with $50 worth of other food) and they refused to do it and told me it had to be a separate entree meal… FOR PLAIN NOODLES. Everyone knows this place is twice as much $ as the other Chinese restaurants, but now it’s just a scam in addition to lesser quality food.

They do not honor the prices when you order online. This place is crooked!

My favorite Asian restaurant. The service is always great as is the food. I always try something different when I go. I intend on trying everything on the menu. So far all has been perfect. You need to try this place.

Sun Ming Chinese Restaurant is a hidden gem of a restaurant in our neighborhood. When you walk in, the restaurant smells like real Chinese food, which is very tempting. There are many tasty meals on the menu, from old favorites to new creations. All of them are made with the freshest ingredients and are bursting with flavor. Every bite at Sun Ming is delicious, whether you're wanting savory stir-fries, flavorful noodles, or delicious dim sum. The cozy and welcoming atmosphere makes it a great place to eat with family and friends, and the helpful and quick staff makes sure everything goes smoothly and you have a great time. When you want delicious Chinese food that never lets you down, Sun Ming is the place to go.

Solid pickup for Chinese. Pretty decent quality & Portions and friendly staff. Also enjoyed the flavors and the heat level.

Oh no, not this restaurant too! We rarely eat out but Sun Ming has been one of our favorites. I hate to say that the last couple times the food quality has slipped. It doesn’t taste as fresh as usual. This isn’t the only restaurant that has gone down in this economy. I’m sure it’s tough on them. But it’s hard on the consumer as well. I am very discriminating about where we dine out, but, we will back to SM once more. And after that, I don’t know. Service is good and the place is spotless. And whoever takes care of the plants does a beautiful job.

If you're looking for authentic and delicious Chinese food this is the place! My friend ordered from the Chinese menu for us and it was extremely good, particularly the spicy beef in pot. The waitress was also very friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable.

The food is great but their take-out lunch specials are way too heavy on the rice side and way too light on the main dish. Probably wanted switch that up a bit because local competition is pretty heavy.

I was eager to eat the food in this restaurant because of the high reviews. We came here from New York and Florida and we were eating Chinese food about twice a week there. We were totally not fans of this restaurant and we gave it a chance. If you are accustomed to good Chinese food, you won't find it there. We finally found one that we like. Everyone is different and we were completely unimpressed. That's the problem when you have had very good restaurants and you try to find one in our new home town. You develop high standards. Try it and see if it works for you

Usually very good. Love the egg drop soup and fried rice! Some days they are better than other days, but overall pretty satisfied.

I wish I could give this place ZERO stars! I am from Los Angeles where good Chinese food is practically on every corner. Unfortunately since moving to South Carolina I have yet to find ONE decent Chinese restaurant. As for Sun Ming, it used to be fairly decent about 5 years ago. Now it tastes like Costco could do better! The egg roll I received was stale and probably bad, so I didn't eat it because I didn't want to take the risk of food poisoning! The General Tsao's chicken I ordered was cold and had probably been left over from someone else's order from the previous day. Needless to say, I won't be back. I will just have to move back to the EXPENSIVE West Coast if I want to eat good. I am a foodie, so food matters to me. It's just unfortunate I didn't take that into consideration before moving to what I thought was a cheap and affordable state. For now, I will just drive the 2.5 hours to Charlotte (North Carolina) for some decent Chinese food. Or Atlanta (3 hours drive). The End
