Beautiful dining room with sweeping views of the Kiawah island golf course and ocean! However the food is lacking. It would be great if soy was omitted from many of the dishes as soy is a common allergy.Dietary restrictions: They are accommodating with guests who are gluten free or have food allergies.
My wife and I dined here on our Kiawah vacation. We started with tomato and peaches with Burrata. Adding the peaches to this dish makes it a different flavor but still very good. My wife had the shrimp and grits and it was the best she has ever had. The sauce was not thick and had a wonderful flavor. I had the fish of the day, golden tile, with summer beans, corn bisque, peppers, etc. it was a wonderful fish dish. Executive Chef Ondo was so kind and friendly to our table. What an inviting experience he provided. Our server Rodney didn’t seem emotionally invested while hosting our table but no problems with the food. The Atlantic Room is deserving of five stars.
