Great friendly service and fantastic food.
Friendly waitress & great amount of food for the money! Very high quality.
Great food, great prices, fantastic waitress, great view of the water. If you’re debating going there, just go!!!!
Great place for dinner! Food was very good. Service was even better. Best Hush Puppys in MB. Even served a cinnamon roll fresh baked from their in house bakery. Nice view of private lake in back.
We chose Chesapeake House for dinner this evening. We had a party of 7, with varying ages an varying tastes. We did make a reservation for 4:30 and were able to bypass a significant line. Our waiter, Jason, was prompt and wonderfully attentive to our needs. Drinks were refilled before we even asked for them. The food came out quite quickly and all was hot and delicious. I ordered the Combination Plate, 2 selections, fried popcorn shrimp and grilled scallops, baked potato and side salad. All was delicious and cooked perfectly. Hubby ordered the Combination Plate, 3 selections, alligator bites, fantasy shrimp, fried shrimp, which he enjoyed?I would recommend the Chesapeak House, and I am sure we will go back again when in Myrtle Beach. I do recommend that you make reservations.
Great food, great service, and great atmosphere! My husband the meat eater said the Cajun grilled mahi mahi was better than any steak he's ever had. The fish stew was amazing, and so was the fried seafood platter. And the cinnamon rolls come out with the hushpuppies. AMAZING!
This is by far the best restaurant in Myrtle Beach. Even though it was busy, the place was well staffed and the service was great. All of the servers seemed very attentive to the customers. Our server was Robert and he was super polite and never let us go with an empty drink glass. Scallops and lobster pie were wonderful. Organized for how busy it was. Amazed at this place after having so many bad meals in the area. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food they provide. Fish stew was tasty. Salads and bakery rolls and hush puppies were super fresh. We will return !
Great food, good price and great service. You get hushpuppies and cinnamon rolls (which I thought was odd but they were good) when you first sit down. Then they get your order of course and we got to sample the soup they had that night. Food was really good though, and our server was top notch.
Busy place, but had a great experience! The fried chicken and fish soup were delicious ?
Great atmosphere. The food is ok, but not great. Coming from an area that actually has the Chesapeake Bay, we are used to better seafood. The best thing at the table was the fried clams. They weren't over battered or over cooked.
This is a really good seafood place. If you go for the early bird you get free hushpuppies and cinnamon rolls. Their prices aren't overly expensive and we've never had to wait very long to be seated.. Sometimes you may see a pirate walking around.
I took my family for dinner at Chesapeake House. The hostess was not very welcoming and after few good minutes of waiting we got seated. Less than a third of the tables had patrons. After another awkward wait at the table for about 20 minutes, a younger waiter finally came to us saying something that our waiter is not available and he'll take care of us. We were quick to put the order in, but still had to wait for more than another 40 minutes for the food to be served. Despite Will's friendly efforts to provide a decent service, the combination of long wait in a quasi empty restaurant, an 70s decor, and a so so food earns this place an absolutely NO return!
They have gone downhill. It used to be a great place to eat. Their call ahead seating is a joke - still expect to wait over an hour. The hostess literally said, "don't be mad at me." Several large parties that arrived after my so called "call ahead" party were seated before mine.Want better seafood with a better atmosphere, then head to Calabash or The Shack in Little River.
I wish I could give this place 10 stars!!! From the service, the food to the beautiful view!! We loved every minute spent here..McKenzie our waitress was the bestest!
Best fish I had in a long long time. Everything was extremely fresh, and service was perfect.I'm really glad we chose this restaurant for dinner.
